Abstract

This study examines the political aspects of law in the application of the principle of justice to Islamic law, with the aim of analyzing the extent to which the principles that are sometimes in Islamic law can be applied in legal politics. In this study, the author uses a qualitative approach using the literature study method. The results of the study indicate that there are several political legal challenges to the application of this principle of justice and the public's understanding of Islamic law is still minimal. In addition, this study also finds a solution to this problem by creating a more focused framework for the values of justice contained in Islamic law, thus social justice for the entire community can be realized. This study is expected to provide learning for legal science developers, especially in understanding between politics and law in Islamic justice.

Abstract

This study explores the legal and theological perspectives on interfaith marriage within Islamic jurisprudence, focusing on the views of classical and contemporary scholars. Interfaith marriage, particularly between a Muslim and a non-Muslim, has long been a subject of scholarly debate due to its complex implications for faith, family, and social harmony. While the Qur’an permits Muslim men to marry women from the People of the Book under certain conditions, the practice remains controversial among scholars. Some argue it is permissible with strict limitations, while others prohibit it entirely, especially for Muslim women. This paper examines various interpretations from different schools of thought (madhhab), analyzes Qur'anic verses and Hadiths related to the issue, and considers modern legal opinions from different Muslim-majority countries. The study concludes by highlighting the ongoing need for contextual ijtihad in addressing interfaith marriage within contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

Early marriage is a marriage that takes place when the bride is under 16 years old and the groom is under 19 years old. Internal factors come from within the individual, such as their own desires, while external factors include the parents' economic situation, education, and the parents' wishes. Many teenagers are trapped in early marriages, especially those from disadvantaged families, who choose to marry at a young age to alleviate their family's economic burden. There are numerous risks associated with early marriage, both physical and psychological. Research findings indicate that various factors influence early marriage. The primary cause is economic factors, with supporting factors including peer influence, the desires of the individual, family, and pregnancy outside of marriage.

Abstract

Islamic economics is an economic system based on Islamic principles such as justice, balance, the prohibition of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), and gambling (maisir), as well as the implementation of profit-and-loss sharing. This article aims to analyze the role of Islamic economics in national development by highlighting the contributions of Islamic banking, SME empowerment, social-economic instruments (zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf), and the challenges and opportunities in the digital era. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings reveal that Islamic economics has great potential to realize sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development. Its contributions are evident in strengthening the Islamic financial system, empowering the real sector, and enhancing social welfare through Islamic economic instruments. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, such as low public literacy, suboptimal regulations, and limited human resources. Therefore, synergy between the government, academics, practitioners, and society is needed to optimize the role of Islamic economics in national development.
