Abstract

This study investigates the influence of demand and supply functions on market equilibrium. Market equilibrium is a fundamental concept in economics, reflecting the point at which quantity demanded equals quantity supplied. This research aims to analyze how variations in demand and supply functions affect equilibrium prices and quantities in competitive markets. Using a quantitative approach, mathematical modeling, and simulation methods, the study examines both linear and nonlinear demand-supply dynamics, including saturation and collectability factors. Data were synthesized from secondary sources, including historical market observations and established economic models. The results indicate that shifts in demand or supply functions can significantly alter equilibrium points, sometimes leading to indeterminacy or multiple equilibria, consistent with the findings of Drewello (n.d.) and Caginalp (2005). Moreover, the study highlights the relevance of dynamic and nonlinear models for understanding real-world market behaviors. Implications include better-informed policy decisions, pricing strategies, and market regulation to maintain stability. Future research may extend to stochastic modeling and agent-based simulations to capture market complexity.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening national economic resilience, particularly in developing countries. However, many MSMEs fail to sustain their business growth due to weak marketing feasibility analysis. This study aims to analyze the business feasibility of MSMEs from a marketing perspective by examining market potential, marketing strategies, consumer behavior, and competitive positioning. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using secondary data derived from previous feasibility studies and relevant academic literature. Data were analyzed through content analysis to identify key indicators of marketing feasibility commonly applied in MSME studies. The results indicate that marketing feasibility is strongly influenced by market segmentation accuracy, product differentiation, pricing strategies, and the utilization of digital marketing channels. Several studies reveal that MSMEs with structured marketing analysis demonstrate higher sustainability and competitiveness. Conversely, limited marketing knowledge and inadequate market research often lead to suboptimal business decisions. This study concludes that marketing feasibility analysis is a critical determinant of MSME business viability and long-term sustainability. The findings contribute theoretically by strengthening the marketing feasibility framework for MSMEs and practically by providing insights for entrepreneurs and policymakers to enhance MSME marketing performance.

Abstract

The asbestos industry faces complex strategic planning challenges due to economic, environmental, technical, and social considerations. Effective industrial development planning requires a systematic decision-making approach capable of accommodating multiple and often conflicting objectives. This study aims to develop an integrated planning model for asbestos industry development using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Linear Goal Programming (LGP). AHP is employed to determine the relative importance of development criteria based on expert judgments, while LGP is used to optimize development strategies under multiple goals and constraints. The research adopts a quantitative decision-support approach, involving data collection through expert interviews, questionnaires, and secondary industrial data. The results indicate that environmental safety, economic feasibility, and technological readiness are the most influential criteria in asbestos industry development planning. The LGP model successfully generates optimal development scenarios that balance production targets, cost limitations, and environmental considerations. This integrated AHP–LGP approach provides a robust decision-making framework for policymakers and industry stakeholders in planning sustainable asbestos industry development. The study contributes theoretically by enriching multi-criteria decision-making applications in industrial planning and practically by offering a structured tool for strategic industrial development decisions.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a strategic role in supporting regional economic growth, particularly in the culinary sector based on local wisdom. Palembang is widely known for its traditional food products such as pempek, kemplang, and various fish-based processed foods that have significant market potential. However, many SMEs still face limitations in evaluating business feasibility comprehensively, which affects sustainability and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the business feasibility of Palembang traditional food SMEs from market, technical, management, and financial aspects. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using case study methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving SME owners, supported by secondary data from previous studies. The analysis techniques include market potential analysis, production feasibility assessment, management evaluation, and financial analysis using indicators such as Break Even Point, Net Present Value, and Payback Period. The results indicate that Palembang traditional food SMEs are generally feasible to develop, especially due to stable market demand, availability of raw materials, and relatively simple production processes. Financially, most businesses demonstrate positive feasibility indicators. This study concludes that strengthening managerial capabilities, financial planning, and marketing strategies is essential to enhance business sustainability. The findings provide practical implications for SME owners and policymakers in formulating development strategies for local culinary businesses.

Abstract

The household cleaning products industry, particularly liquid dishwashing soap, continues to experience steady growth driven by increasing domestic consumption and hygiene awareness. This study aims to analyze the business feasibility of liquid dishwashing soap production at PT Nirmala Resik Indonesia. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation of production and financial records. Business feasibility was evaluated using market, technical, and financial aspects, including Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Break Even Point (BEP) analyses. The results indicate that the liquid dishwashing soap business is feasible to operate and develop. Financial analysis shows a positive NPV, IRR exceeding the prevailing discount rate, and a relatively short payback period. From the technical aspect, production capacity, raw material availability, and technology utilization support business sustainability. Market analysis reveals stable demand and competitive pricing within the household cleaners sector. This study concludes that PT Nirmala Resik Indonesia’s liquid dishwashing soap business is economically viable and has strong growth potential. The findings provide practical implications for small and medium enterprises in evaluating similar household chemical product ventures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy in tempe mendoan businesses as a form of traditional culinary micro-enterprise in Indonesia. Increasing competition in the culinary sector and changes in consumer preferences require micro and small business actors to apply appropriate marketing strategies to ensure business sustainability. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of business owners, employees, and consumers of tempe mendoan. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the product element focuses on maintaining taste consistency and product freshness, while pricing strategies are set at affordable and competitive levels. Distribution is mainly conducted through direct sales and local markets, supported by promotional activities dominated by word-of-mouth and limited use of social media. The people element plays an important role in maintaining service quality, although service processes have not been formally standardized. Physical evidence, such as cleanliness of the business location and product appearance, also influences consumer perceptions. Overall, the implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy contributes positively to customer satisfaction and the sustainability of tempe mendoan businesses; however, improvements are still needed in promotional innovation and process standardization.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive industrial market requires companies to implement effective marketing strategies to enhance product sales performance. Box panel products, which play a crucial role in electrical and industrial infrastructure, face challenges related to market penetration, price competition, and limited promotional strategies. This study aims to analyze appropriate marketing strategies to increase box panel product sales by integrating various strategic marketing frameworks. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using literature-based analysis supported by strategic marketing tools such as SWOT analysis, marketing mix (4P), and strategic prioritization models. Data were obtained through secondary sources, including relevant scientific journals and empirical studies on marketing strategy implementation in manufacturing and industrial sectors. The findings indicate that product quality differentiation, competitive pricing strategies, expanded distribution channels, and intensified promotional efforts—particularly through digital marketing—significantly influence sales growth. Furthermore, the integration of internal strengths and external opportunities enables companies to formulate adaptive and sustainable marketing strategies. This study concludes that a comprehensive and structured marketing strategy is essential to improving box panel sales performance and maintaining competitiveness in the industrial market. The results provide practical implications for industrial companies and contribute to the development of strategic marketing literature in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged logistics and courier service companies to adopt customer-oriented strategies to maintain competitiveness. Electronic Customer Relationship Management (E-CRM) has emerged as a strategic approach to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business performance through integrated information systems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of E-CRM as an industrial business strategy at PT Citra Van Titipan Kilat. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation related to customer service processes, complaint handling, and customer data management. The analysis focuses on E-CRM dimensions, including customer identification, interaction, and customization. The results show that the implementation of E-CRM at PT Citra Van Titipan Kilat contributes positively to improving service efficiency, strengthening customer relationships, and increasing customer loyalty. However, several challenges remain, such as system integration limitations and the need for continuous employee training. This study concludes that E-CRM plays a strategic role in supporting business sustainability and competitiveness in the logistics industry. The findings are expected to provide practical implications for similar service-based companies in optimizing E-CRM implementation.

Abstract

Cassava-based agroindustry plays an important role in supporting local economic development and strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. One of the traditional products with high economic potential is cassava tape, which has long been developed using conventional business practices. However, increasing competition, changes in consumer behavior, and market dynamics require business actors to adopt effective and adaptive business models. This study aims to analyze the advantages and business model strategies implemented by the cassava tape enterprise “Kang Asep” as a form of value-added agroindustry development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using business model canvas and SWOT analysis. The results indicate that Kang Asep’s cassava tape business possesses competitive advantages in product quality consistency, traditional fermentation techniques, strong brand identity, and customer loyalty. Strategic implementation focuses on product differentiation, cost efficiency, utilization of local raw materials, and the integration of offline and online marketing channels. These strategies enable the business to enhance competitiveness and sustainability amid market challenges. The study concludes that an adaptive business model supported by local resource optimization is essential for strengthening cassava-based agroindustry performance. The findings are expected to contribute theoretically to MSME business model studies and practically to agroindustry development strategies.

Abstract

Modernization has become a dominant force reshaping rural agrarian societies across the world, particularly traditional peasant communities. This article aims to analyze the impact of modernization on the socio-cultural systems of farming communities, focusing on changes in values, social relations, kinship structures, and cultural practices. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature-based analysis of classical and contemporary scholarly works on agrarian transformation and peasant modernization. The findings reveal that modernization introduces significant transformations in production systems, social stratification, and cultural orientations of peasant societies. Traditional norms such as mutual cooperation, communal land management, and kinship-based social organization tend to weaken, while rational-economic behavior, individualism, and market-oriented values become more dominant. However, the study also finds that peasant communities demonstrate resilience by selectively adapting modern elements while preserving core cultural identities. This article concludes that modernization does not entirely eradicate peasant culture but rather reconstructs it through a complex process of negotiation between tradition and modernity. These findings contribute to sociological and agrarian studies by offering a comprehensive understanding of socio-cultural dynamics in modernizing rural societies.
