Abstract

This study aims to understand Islamic Education (PAI) teachers' perceptions of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum at SMP Negeri 4 Kendari. It examines the teachers' understanding of the curriculum's implementation, their perceptions of its application, and how the curriculum is implemented in Islamic Education subjects. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.  The results of the study show that: (1) Islamic Education teachers have a good understanding of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, including its concepts, objectives, innovative teaching practices, and the integration of technology in learning. (2) Islamic Education teachers have a positive perception (views, responses, and evaluations) of the curriculum's implementation, as it simplifies the teaching process, enhances students' motivation, and better addresses students' needs. (3) The planning of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum for Islamic Education subjects has been effectively implemented, beginning with the analysis of learning outcomes and the preparation of teaching modules. (4) The implementation of Islamic Education teaching aligns with the pre-designed teaching tools. (5) Assessment in Islamic Education is conducted through three types of evaluations: diagnostic, formative, and summative.Thus, this study contributes new insights by highlighting innovative approaches in Islamic Education teaching in the era of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The findings reveal how technology integration and the application of innovative teaching methods can enhance teaching efficiency and the relevance of learning to meet students' needs in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachersin fostering religious tolerance among students atKendari State Senior High School 2. The background of this study stems fromthe importance of tolerance in social life, especially in schoolswith religious diversity, such as Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, and Hinduism.This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniquesin the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects ofthe study are PAI teachers, while the informants include the principal,vice principal, and students from various religious backgrounds. The results of the research show that PAI teachers at Kendari 2 State Senior High School madevarious efforts to instil tolerance, including emphasising theaffective aspect of learning, setting an example through their daily behaviour, internalising humanistic Islamic values, andcreating space for interfaith dialogue in the classroom. In addition, teachers alsocultivate tolerance through inclusive religious activities, such asImtaq activities for Muslim students and spiritual guidance fornon-Muslim students every Friday. Supporting factors in this success includethe school's commitment to diversity, the full support of the entire school community,and the existence of inclusive school policies. This study concludes that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers contribute greatly to creating a harmonious and tolerant school environment.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the importance of school image in shaping public trust and interest in educational institutions, especially amidst increasingly competitive school competition. In this context, branding image does not only include visual aspects such as logos and slogans, but also reflects the values, culture, and quality of education offered. This study aims to describe the branding image strategy and its impact on increasing parental preference of students at MAN 1 Konawe Selatan. This study utilised a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data credibility was tested using Miles and Huberman's theory. The results show that the branding image strategy at MAN 1 Konawe Selatan is carried out through three main approaches, namely: brand positioning (positioning the school's image as a superior and religious madrasah), brand identity (building an institutional identity through the vision and mission, logo, tagline, and social media), and brand personality (instilling religious, knowledgeable, and Islamic character in the entire academic community). The impact of this strategy has succeeded in forming the image of a madrasah that is religious, superior in science and technology, and has an Islamic personality, thereby increasing parental trust and preference in choosing a school. Parents feel confident in the programs offered and believe that MAN 1 Konawe Selatan is the best place to nurture their children academically and spiritually. This research contributes to the development of Islamic education management strategies, particularly in strengthening madrasah competitiveness through a planned and sustainable branding approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic educational values contained in the cartoon film Nussa and Rara Season 2 and their impact on the Islamic knowledge of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Toronipa. The method used is content analysis. Film contains various Islamic educational values, including religious values such as monotheism and faith in God, worship values such as prayer and dhikr, and moral values such as good manners or good behavior, cleanliness, honesty, and asking permission. These values are conveyed through a story that is relatable and easy to understand for children. Furthermore, watching this film has a positive impact on students' Islamic religious knowledge, increasing their understanding of the concept of monotheism, enthusiasm for worship, memorization of dhikr, and good, clean, and religious attitudes. Thus, the implications of this research indicate that audio-visual media such as cartoons, packaged in an educational and Islamic manner, can be an effective alternative learning strategy in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the form of family-based child discipline education and the problems faced by parents in providing family-based child discipline education in Mekar Jaya Village, North Moramo District, South Konawe Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research with descriptive analysis. This research was conducted in Mekar Jaya Village, North Moramo District, South Konawe Regency. The type of data that the author uses is qualitative data obtained from internal data and external data. In this study the authors used data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation, namely data collection activities through various written data sources, both related to objective conditions and other supporting data. The analysis technique uses data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the analysis of the research results, it was concluded that the forms of family-based child discipline education in Mekar Jaya Village were (1) Time discipline by getting up early, limiting playing time (watching TV, playing cellphones and online games), (2) Discipline in dressing, (3 ) Discipline behave politely. In providing the basics of education to children, parents in the village of Mekar Jaya apply elements of discipline: there are family rules, there are punishments, there are rewards, and there is consistency. The problems faced by parents in providing family-based discipline education for children in Mekar Jaya village are (1) problems in time discipline, (2) problems in clothing discipline, (3) problems in discipline in polite behavior, (4) busy parents, (5) external or environmental influences
