Abstract

Tanaman cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum (L) Merr & Perry) di Indonesia lebih kurang 95 % diusahakan oleh rakyat dalam bentuk perkebunan rakyat yang tersebar di seluruh propinsi. Sisanya sebesar 5% diusahakan oleh perkebunan swasta dan perkebunan negara. Cengkeh merupakan tanaman rempah yang termasuk dalam komoditas sektor perkebunan yang mempunyai peranan cukup penting antara lain sebagai penyumbang pendapatan petani dan sebagai sarana untuk pemerataan wilayah pembangunan serta turut serta dalam pelestarian sumber daya alam dan lingkungan. Salah satu kendala pada budidaya cengkeh adalah adanya serangan OPT (Organisme Pengganggu Tumbuhan) yang mempengaruhi kualitas dan kuantitas produksi daun cengkeh sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan pengendalian. Salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan OPT pada cengkeh adalah menggunakan perangkap Yellow Trap. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunan Yellow Trap sebagai perangkap serangga hama pada kebun cengkeh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa populasi serangga hama yang terperangkap menggunakan Yeloow Trap sebanyak 33 individu dari 5 spesies. Seranga yang terperangkap terbanyak pada famili Cerambycidae, yang merupakan spesies Hexsamitodera semivelutina sebanyak 6 individu

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of humic acid and Bio-Nuclear application on the growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.) at Pranggang Farmer Group, Brambang Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency. The research was conducted from January to April 2024 using a factorial randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the dosage of humic acid consisting of H0 = without humic acid, H1 = 5 L ha-1, and H2 = 10 L ha-1. The second factor was the application of Bio-Nuclear consisting of B0 = without Bio-Nuclear, B1 = 5 mL L-1, and B2 = 10 mL L-1. Observed parameters included plant height, number of tillers, number of leaves, panicle length, number of filled grains, 1000-grain weight, and grain yield per hectare. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of humic acid and Bio-Nuclear significantly affected vegetative growth and rice yield. The H2B2 treatment combination produced the best results on plant height, productive tillers, and grain yield. Humic acid improved nutrient availability and soil physical properties, while Bio-Nuclear enhanced microbial activity and nutrient uptake efficiency. The combination of both treatments has the potential to increase rice productivity sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze durian farming, specifically the superior local variety Bido, in Panglungan Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency (pp. 1, 6). This area is one of the largest durian production centers in East Java (p. 27). The sampling method was random sampling with a total of 40 durian farmers as respondents (pp. 23, 43). Data analysis used multiple linear regression to examine the influence of production factors simultaneously and partially, and income analysis to determine the economic value of the Bido variety (pp. 24-25). The F-test results showed that land area, seeds, fertilizer, and pesticide variables simultaneously had a significant effect on durian production (F count 6.352 > F table 2.61) (p. 30). Partially, only the seed variable had a significant effect on production yield (p. 31). Based on a financial analysis of the Bido variety, the accumulated managed land area of ​​38,500 m² with a total of 1,005 trees yielded a harvest of 1,455 fruits and recorded a total income of Rp 5,837,000,000 (pp. 34-35). This income is proven to be superior when compared to other local varieties such as Merica and Obet (pp. 22, 36, 38).

Abstract

The development of local horticultural commodities is an important strategy to support regional food security while improving rural community welfare. One of the commodities with significant potential in Puri Semanding Village, Plandaan District, Jombang Regency is Cavendish banana. Despite having high market demand, the development of this commodity still faces various challenges, particularly inefficient supply chain systems, high dependency of farmers on middlemen, limited post-harvest facilities, and high ripening costs that force farmers to sell their products in raw conditions at low prices. This study aims to analyze the current supply chain conditions of Cavendish bananas, identify distribution constraints, formulate community empowerment strategies, and examine their contribution to regional food security. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by simple quantitative data. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results indicate that long distribution chains reduce marketing efficiency and farmers’ income. Recommended strategies include establishing farmer cooperatives, developing shared ripening centers, strengthening access to modern markets, and creating community-based distribution systems. The development of Cavendish bananas has the potential to increase farmers’ income, strengthen rural economies, and sustainably support local food security

Abstract

Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.) is a vegetable belonging to the cruciferous family. This plant has high economic value and relatively stable market demand. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer doses from bamboo shoots on the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.). The research method used is RAK with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments are as follows P0 = 0 ml / L water (without treatment), P1 = 4 grams / L NPK water, P2 = 50 ml / L bamboo shoot POC water, P3 = 100 ml / L bamboo shoot POC water, P4 = 150 ml / L bamboo shoot POC water, P5 = 200 ml / L bamboo shoot POC water. This research was conducted in October - December 2024. The experimental location was in Dsn. Banyuurip Rt 001 / RW 001, Ds. Mundusewu, Bareng District, Jombang Regency, East Java with an altitude of ± 500 m. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant flower weight, mass weight per unit. The data analysis used ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) with Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at 5% level. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer from bamboo shoots significantly affects the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.). The optimal dose is between 150-200 ml/L on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, flower weight, fresh weight and flower mass weight per plant on cauliflower plants.
