Abstract

The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in Indonesia faces various challenges despite the existing regulations. Key issues include transparency, accountability, and the strong political influence in corporate decision-making. This study aims to analyze the application of GCG principles in Indonesia, identify the barriers, and provide recommendations for strengthening the effective implementation of governance. Using a narrative review approach, this research examines various previous studies related to corporate governance in Indonesia. The findings show that, although GCG regulations in Indonesia have evolved, their implementation is often hindered by weak oversight, political influence, and discrepancies between theory and practice. Additionally, the findings underscore the importance of the roles of the board of commissioners, audit committees, and external oversight in improving GCG implementation in Indonesia. This study contributes by enhancing the understanding of the gap between corporate governance theory and practice in Indonesia and offers more practical recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to improve corporate transparency and accountability. The research also provides new insights into the development of governance theories more relevant to Indonesia's context. Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of inflation and deflation in North Maluku Province throughout 2025, exploring its implications for sustainable investment interest and community welfare levels. Using secondary data from the North Maluku Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other relevant sources, this study identifies patterns of monthly and annual price fluctuations, as well as the potential risks and opportunities they pose. The results of the analysis show that moderate annual inflation creates the preconditions for stability desired by investors, but frequent episodes of monthly deflation, especially in local commodities, have the potential to suppress the productivity and income of the agro-maritime sector and delay investment decisions. In terms of welfare, moderate inflation provides room for increased purchasing power, but deflation can erode the income of local producer groups and increase the real debt burden. Policy recommendations focus on specific instruments such as the Micro Logistics Cluster Regional Regulation, the Agro-Maritime Downstreaming Blueprint, and the Productivity Services Voucher Scheme to transform price stability into economic productivity and sustainable welfare improvement in North Maluku. Keywords: Inflation, Deflation, Sustainable Investment, Community Welfare, North Maluku, RPJMD.

Abstract

This paper examines contemporary Islamic monetary policy instruments implemented in Indonesia within the dual banking system framework established by Law No. 10 of 1998. Key instruments discussed include the Statutory Reserve Requirement (GWM), Mudharabah Investment Certificates among Islamic Banks (Sertifikat IMA), Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS), and Bank Indonesia Sharia Deposit Facilities (FASBIS), all based on Sharia contracts such as ju'alah and mudharabah that replace conventional interest-bearing instruments. The theoretical framework reviews three Islamic monetary policy schools of thought from the early Islamic period to the mainstream and alternative approaches emphasizing consultation between monetary authorities and the real sector. Empirical data from Bank Indonesia highlight the utilization and regulation of these instruments. The study concludes that the application of Islamic monetary instruments fosters monetary stability and supports the growth of the Islamic financial sector, aligning with Indonesia’s increasing demand for Sharia-compliant financial services.   Keywords: Islamic monetary instruments, Sharia contracts, Bank Indonesia Syariah Certificates, statutory reserve requirement, Islamic finance, monetary stability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship coaching on strengthening the regional economy by using MSME performance as a mediating variable. Regional economic conditions are greatly influenced by the productivity of MSMEs, which are a dominant sector in Indonesia's economic structure. Entrepreneurship coaching is seen as a form of strategic intervention that can increase the capacity of business actors through the improvement of knowledge, skills, and managerial abilities based on modern business concepts. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data on MSME performance and regional economic indicators in South Sulawesi Province for the period 2019–2024, and supports empirical findings through references to the latest scientific publications. The results show that entrepreneurship coaching has a significant positive effect on MSME performance, as well as on strengthening the regional economy both directly and through the mediation of MSME performance. This study reinforces the findings of Mustamin & Wahyuni (2024) that competency-based entrepreneurship assistance can improve the sustainability of community businesses, and is relevant to the findings of Muchtar Lutfi, Wahyuni & Hamris (2025) regarding the importance of effective financial management in strengthening the regional economy. Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the formulation and implementation of Islamic bank development strategies within the context of increasingly intense national banking competition. The primary focus is on identifying internal and external factors influencing Islamic bank competitiveness, including regulatory developments, market penetration, product and service innovation, and changing customer preferences. This study uses a qualitative approach using literature review and policy analysis, incorporating a strategic management framework to assess the effectiveness of strategies implemented by Islamic banks. The results indicate that the success of Islamic bank development is largely determined by the institution's ability to formulate a differentiation strategy based on Islamic values, strengthen digital capabilities, and build strategic partnerships with various stakeholders. The implementation of strategies that are adaptive and responsive to market dynamics has been shown to significantly impact performance improvements, operational effectiveness, and public trust. These findings provide conceptual and practical contributions to strengthening the competitiveness of Islamic banks in a competitive national banking ecosystem. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of financial management, social media usage, and product innovation on the performance of MSMEs in Kendaripreneur. Micro businesses in Kendari face various challenges, including limited access to capital, low digital technology proficiency, and limited innovation capabilities. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal design, with the research subjects consisting of micro-business actors who are members of the Kendaripreneur community, using purposive sampling. The number of samples used in this study was 300 business actors, selected based on specific criteria to ensure the relevance of the data obtained. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires distributed to respondents, using a Likert scale to measure attitudes and perceptions of the variables under study. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques to test hypotheses and determine the relationship between variables. The results showed that financial management had the greatest influence on MSME performance, followed by the use of social media and product innovation. Good financial management helped in making the right decisions, while social media was effective in expanding the market. Product innovation also contributed positively, although its influence was smaller. These three factors were proven to be mutually supportive in improving MSME performance after joining Kendaripreneur. Abstract

Abstract                                                                                     This study aims to analyze and conceptualize the multifaceted role of the state in the process of economic development through a qualitative, descriptive, and literature-based approach. The research employs secondary data derived from academic journals, theoretical works, and official reports, analyzed through thematic coding and inductive synthesis to identify conceptual patterns and interconnections. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of the state in driving economic growth depends not on the scale of intervention but on institutional quality, fiscal capacity, and governance integrity. The study identifies four core dimensions of the state’s role: (1) the developmental function, where bureaucratic autonomy and coherent industrial policy support structural transformation; (2) fiscal and administrative capacity, which underpins the state’s ability to finance public goods; (3) the ethical and distributive role, as emphasized in Islamic economic frameworks advocating justice and sustainability; and (4) the cooperative interaction between the state and the market in fostering innovation and inclusive growth. These findings suggest that the modern state must act as both a developmental and normative agent, balancing economic efficiency with social equity. The study contributes to academic discourse by synthesizing developmental state theory, institutional economics, and moral-economic perspectives, offering an integrative framework for understanding the adaptive and ethical functions of the state in contemporary economic systems.   Keywords: State capacity, governance, developmental state, economic transformation, fiscal policy

Abstract

Abstract                                                                                     This study aims to analyze the role of digital ecosystem-based anti-corruption character education as a strategy for preventing corruption in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study of six national scientific journals relevant to the issues of corruption, anti-corruption education, character education, and the use of digital technology. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify concepts, findings, and the relevance of digital anti-corruption education models, particularly those developed by the Corruption Eradication Commission through the e-KPK Learning and KIRANA platforms. The results of the study show that anti-corruption character education based on a digital ecosystem is effective in increasing moral awareness, integrity, and student participation. This model is considered adaptive, sustainable, and relevant in addressing the complexity of corruption issues in Indonesia, thus having the potential to strengthen a culture of integrity in public and institutional life.   Keywords: Corruption; Character Education; Anti-Corruption Education; Digital Ecosystem; Corruption Eradication Commission
