Jurnal Ilmu Ekonomi dan Bisnis (JIEB) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Perkumpulan Konsultan Manajemen Pendidikan Indonesia (PKMPI) berkerjasama dengan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Bangkinang. Jurnal ini mewadahi publikasi hasil penelitian, kajian konseptual, studi kasus, serta pengembangan teori yang dilakukan oleh dosen, peneliti, praktisi, maupun mahasiswa yang memiliki fokus pada bidang ilmu ekonomi dan bisnis. Penerbitan jurnal ini merupakan bentuk komitmen terhadap pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam aspek penelitian dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Sebagai jurnal elektronik yang dikelola secara profesional dengan menggunakan Open Journal System (OJS), Jurnal Ilmu Ekonomi dan Bisnis menjamin proses editorial yang transparan, akuntabel, dan berstandar akademik tinggi mulai dari proses submission, peer-review, editing, hingga publikasi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober, serta bertujuan menjadi media diseminasi ilmiah yang kredibel dan berkontribusi dalam pengembangan ilmu ekonomi dan bisnis di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that there are still several cases of earnings management carried out by manufacturing companies that cause losses to shareholders and the company itself. This study aims to determine the effect of Profitability, Solvency and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on earnings management in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX in 2020-2022 partially and simultaneously. The population in this research is all manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2020-2022 period. Sample selection used the purposive sampling method. Based on predetermined criteria, a sample of 54 companies was obtained, with three years of observation so that the observation data amounted to 162 observations. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression assisted by SPSS 26. The results of this research indicate that profitability has a partial effect on earnings management. Solvency partially influences earnings management. corporate social responsibility has no partial effect on earnings management. Profitability, solvency and corporate social responsibility simultaneously influence earnings management. The conclusion of this research is that profitability and solvency have a positive and significant effect on earnings management. corporate social responsibility has a negative and significant effect on earnings management. Meanwhile simultaneously profitability, solvency and corporate social responsibility on earnings management have a positive and significant effect on earnings management.

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam operasional bisnis, namun di sisi lain juga meningkatkan eksposur terhadap ancaman cybercrime yang semakin canggih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran cybersecurity dalam meningkatkan ketahanan bisnis digital terhadap serangan siber. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis ancaman cybercrime yang umum menyerang bisnis digital, seperti phishing, malware, ransomware, dan serangan DDoS, serta mengkaji strategi pencegahan dan mitigasi yang dapat diterapkan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi cybersecurity yang menyeluruh-meliputi perlindungan jaringan, aplikasi, cloud, dan informasi, didukung oleh kebijakan manajemen risiko dan peningkatan kesadaran sumber daya manusia-berperan penting dalam melindungi aset digital, menjaga kepercayaan pelanggan, dan memastikan kontinuitas bisnis. Studi ini juga menyoroti pentingnya kolaborasi antara pelaku bisnis, konsumen, dan regulator dalam membangun ekosistem digital yang aman dan tangguh. Diharapkan, temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pelaku bisnis digital dalam merancang strategi keamanan siber yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan di era digital.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has driven a major transformation in the global economic landscape, giving rise to the digital economy era, which demands adaptation and innovation across various sectors, including start-up businesses. This study aims to examine digital start-up business models emerging in the digital economy era, focusing on key elements such as value proposition, revenue structure, customer acquisition strategies, and the utilization of digital technologies. A qualitative approach is employed through literature reviews and case analyses of digital start-ups in various sectors, such as e-commerce, edutech, fintech, and healthtech. The findings indicate that adaptive, platform-based, and customer-centric business models are crucial for start-up success in this era. Furthermore, the ability to build digital ecosystems, establish strategic partnerships, and integrate data as a core business asset are determining factors in creating sustainable competitive advantages. This study contributes to the understanding of digital business dynamics and offers practical insights for entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers in supporting the growth of start-ups in the digital economy

Abstract

The digital transformation of payment systems has changed how society conducts transactions. This study aims to examine the role of QRIS and digital wallets in modern payment systems and their implications for efficiency, security, and financial inclusion in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach based on literature review, this research analyzes Bank Indonesia's policies, payment technology developments, and key challenges such as cybersecurity and the digital divide. The findings show that digitalizing payment systems through QRIS and digital wallets enhances transaction speed and convenience, but requires adaptive regulations and cross-sector collaboration to build an inclusive and sustainable digital financial ecosystem

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial motivation and the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. In the face of challenges such as limited capital, lack of technology access, and economic crises, entrepreneurs' motivation is considered an internal factor that influences business resilience and continuity. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing ten relevant national academic journals. The discussion focuses on how intrinsic motivation (such as independence and personal fulfillment) and extrinsic motivation (such as financial gain and social recognition) drive MSME actors to survive, innovate, and grow. The findings reveal that the majority of the reviewed journals support the idea that motivation has a positive and significant impact on business success and sustainability, both in normal conditions and during crises such as the pandemic. Although one journal reported an insignificant effect, this is attributed to specific contextual factors. The benefit of this study lies in its contribution to policymakers, business actors, and training institutions, emphasizing the importance of integrating motivational development into sustainable MSME empowerment programs.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an important component in driving digital transformation and business model innovation in various industry sectors. This research aims to comprehensively examine the role and impact of AI in the finance and e-commerce sectors as two of the most dynamic areas of technology adoption. Using a desk study approach of ten recent scientific journals, this research evaluates the contribution of AI in improving operational efficiency, decision-making accuracy, customer service personalization, and financial inclusion through digitization. The results show that AI can drive risk management efficiency, accelerate digital financial services, and improve user experience in e-commerce through automation and intelligent recommendation systems. However, the implementation of AI is also faced with ethical challenges, such as data privacy issues, algorithm bias, and limited adequate regulations. This research also highlights the importance of strengthening human resource competencies and supporting MSME players in facing the AI-based business era. Thus, AI has the potential to be the main driver of innovation and business sustainability in the future if integrated ethically, inclusively, and strategically

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of remote work on digital employee management, focusing on challenges in work culture, productivity, and HR technology in the hybrid era. With the increasing adoption of hybrid work models, companies need to maintain a positive work culture despite limited social interactions. This study identified that the flexibility of remote work can increase productivity, but also poses a risk of decreased productivity due to lack of effective supervision and communication. Qualitative methods through literature studies and interviews were used to explore employee and manager views. The results showed that managerial support, relevant training, and an inclusive organizational culture are important to overcome these challenges. This study concluded that adaptive and innovative HR management strategies are essential to improve employee productivity and well-being in the digital era.

Abstract

The digital creative economy has become one of the main pillars in driving national economic growth in the era of digital transformation. Based on the utilization of information and communication technology, this sector is able to create added value through innovation, creativity, and the utilization of superior human resources. This study aims to examine the role of the digital creative economy in supporting national economic development, by highlighting the contribution of this sector to increasing GDP, creating jobs, and strengthening global competitiveness. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and secondary data analysis, it was found that sub-sectors such as games, animation, graphic design, digital content, and ecommerce have experienced significant growth in the last decade. The success of the development of the digital creative economy also depends heavily on the support of government policies, an inclusive digital ecosystem, and the readiness of technological infrastructure. Thus, the digital creative economy is not only a complement to the national economic system, but has become a potential main driver in creating sustainable and equitable economic growth. Synergy between stakeholders is needed to optimize the potential of this sector as a new foundation for national growth in the future

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a significant transformation in marketing strategies, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the integration of three main approaches in digital marketing, namely influencer marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and personal content, in improving the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive approach, which examines ten scientific articles published in 2019-2024. Data sources were collected through online scientific platforms such as Google Scholar and Research Rabbit, then systematically analyzed to identify patterns, strategies, and impacts of digital marketing implementation by MSME players.The study results show that social media, especially TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, are the main channels in reaching consumers and building engagement. Collaboration with micro-influencers is proven to increase brand credibility and expand market reach, while the application of SEO drives increased digital traffic and online visibility. Authentic personalized content also plays an important role in creating an emotional connection between MSMEs and consumers. However, challenges such as limited human resources, digital literacy, and content consistency still hinder the optimization of this strategy.Thus, the integration of the three approaches is considered effective in supporting the growth and sustainability of MSMEs in the digital era. Continuous support is needed in the form of training and mentoring so that MSME actors are able to implement digital marketing strategies optimally and with high competitiveness.

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology (fintech) has become a key driver of transformation in the financial sector worldwide, particularly in promoting digital financial inclusion. Financial inclusion is a crucial component of sustainable economic development, as it provides access to formal financial services for underserved and unbanked populations. This study aims to examine and analyze findings from ten national and international scholarly journals published within the last five years (2020–2025) regarding the contribution of fintech to financial inclusion. A systematic literature review method is employed, focusing on how fintech enhances financial literacy, expands service outreach, and promotes efficiency and innovation in digital financial systems. The findings reveal that fintech consistently contributes positively to improving access to and quality of financial services, particularly among vulnerable populations and regions not yet served by traditional financial institutions. These findings highlight the urgency of formulating supportive policies that foster an inclusive and sustainable fintech ecosystem.
