Abstract

Air pollution has become an increasingly complex and worrying global problem, with motor vehicles playing a key role as the main contributor Every year, millions of vehicles operate on the road, producing an ever-increasing volume of exhaust gas and having a continuing negative impact on air quality and public health. The composition of motor vehicle exhaust gas is very complex and contains a number of hazardous compounds Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, sulfur dioxide, and dust particles are some of the main components produced from the fuel combustion process These compounds not only pollute the air but also directly affect human health. Conventional measurement methods generally require expensive equipment, complicated procedures, and can only be accessed by certain institutions or agencies. As a result, the general public has practically no direct access to find out the emission conditions of the vehicles they use every day. This limitation creates a significant information gap between technical data and public awareness. Modern smartphones are no longer just communication tools, but have evolved into sophisticated computing devices. Therefore, the author utilizes smartphones with the aim of displaying the accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility of measurement results produced by the system. The significance of the research is not only limited to the technological aspect, but also has strategic implications in environmental management. By providing democratic access to emission information, this research has the potential to empower communities to actively participate in air pollution control efforts. Moreover, this research is a strategic effort to transform the way communities understand, measure, and respond to environmental challenges in the digital era. From the results of the MQ-7 gas sensor test, it works at a minimum range of 300-500ppm at Hazardous air status. To reach the minimum measurement point of the MQ-2 and MQ-7 gas sensors requires quite a long time.

Abstract

Attendance is a routine conducted by individuals to indicate their presence or absence in an institution. The attendance system for students at di SMK N 1 Stabat has so far been manually handled by recording attendance in books. This method is time-consuming, often inaccurate, and poses challenges for teachers when compiling reports. To address this issue, an attendance system was designed within the system using QR Code as an assistive tool. With this system, students can simply scan the QR Code on their identity cards to register their attendance. The application was built using the React JS framework with a waterfall methodology. This system also facilitates teachers in creating recapitulation and attendance reports that are directly integrated with students’ parents. Besides saving time, this system is expected to enhance student discipline and prevent proxy attendance practices. SMK Negeri 1 Stabat becomes one of the pioneers in implementing this technology for student attendance, paving the way for similar applications in other institutions.

Abstract

In the management of the facilities and infrastructure system at the Environment Agency, computerized systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel have been used to manage facilities and infrastructure data. However, this method still has many drawbacks, such as making it difficult to search for data and can make it vulnerable to losing data facilities and infrastructure if the computer device is damaged or lost, so that it can make it difficult for the agency to re-record again. The purpose of this research is to produce an information system for the management of facilities and infrastructure data at the Langkat Regency Environmental Office. can provide faster and more accurate information to those who need it. and can make it easier and save time in obtaining information on facilities and infrastructure at the Environment Agency. Research Methods Using data collection techniques in the form of Observation, Interviews, Documentation and Literature Studies and the system development tools using Flowcharts, DFD and ERD. The website-based Facilities and Infrastructure Information System at the Langkat Regency Environment Office is very helpful. With this system, all data on the management of Facilities and Infrastructure can be managed more neatly and easily. This system can also make work easier to be faster and more efficient because all data can be accessed anytime and from anywhere

Abstract

The existing academic system at Taman Siswa Private Vocational School Padang Tualang already uses computerized systems such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word which are used by Administration employees to manage school reports and data. However, this system has shortcomings such as making it difficult to search for data, the possibility of data being lost, and also when providing school information it is still done by interacting with the community to provide an overview of the school's background. Therefore, a school information system website is needed that can display the school profile, school facilities, announcements, organizational structure, and can input student data, teacher data, and lesson schedules. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The method used in the system is the agile method and to design the system process design it is created using UML (Unified Modeling Language). This research resulted in an information system design at the Taman Siswa Padang Tualang Private Vocational School. In creating this School Information System the author used the PHP and MySQL programming languages as databases. From this research process, a school website was produced which succeeded in increasing the efficiency of teachers, students and the community regarding information related to the Padang Tualang Taman Siswa Vocational school.

Abstract

The design of a student subject interest prediction system at SDT Muhammadiyah School is crucial to help the school understand and enhance the quality of education. This system is developed using the Naive Bayes algorithm method, which is known to be effective in analyzing historical data to predict students' preferences for specific subjects. With this system, the school can identify the subjects most favored by students, enabling the development of more targeted and interest-aligned learning strategies. Based on this issue, the author designed a student subject interest prediction system at SDT Muhammadiyah School using the Naive Bayes algorithm method.

Abstract

Several stages of the new student admission process are also carried out by SDN 056639 Jasa Makmur. SDN 056639 Jasa Makmur. is an institution engaged in the field of education consisting of an elementary school located at Jl. Jasa Makmur, Harapan Jaya Village, Sei Lepan District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra 20857. This school has 17 teachers and 6 classes with an average of 30 to 50 students each. Based on the problems that occur above, a New Student Admissions Application System Design (PPDB) system is needed which will later be developed with the V-Model method, which can help schools manage PPDB and help prospective students in the PPDB process, especially at SDN 056639 Jasa Makmur, both registration and information on the results of the PPDB announcement online. With this system, participants and parents of participants do not need to bother coming to school just to see announcements or information related to the implementation of PPDB. Whenever and wherever they are, they can do it via a computer or smartphone connected to the internet.

Abstract

This research aims to design a mobile-based Smart Village application to be implemented in Pasarawa Village. By employing the Waterfall method, the development process of this application is conducted systematically through the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application is designed to enhance the efficiency of public services and facilitate communication between the village government and its residents. Features developed include village activity information, administrative services, and a complaint system. The results of this design are expected to provide significant benefits for village management and improve community involvement in the village development process.

Abstract

Effective campus promotion activities are essential to enhance the visibility and appeal of the Institute of Technology and Business. This monitoring system aims to optimize campus promotional strategies through the use of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which enables quick and adaptive system development according to needs. The system will help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities in real-time, providing accurate data for analysis and strategic decision-making by campus management.With this system, it is expected to increase the number of new student applicants and expand the campus's promotional reach to a broader target audience. Based on the above issues, the author designed a campus promotion activity monitoring system using the RAD method.

Abstract

Automatic control systems have become an inevitable necessity in facilitating various aspects of daily life, where these systems allow their users to automate many processes that were previously done manually.Along with the rapid development of technology, the need for automation systems is increasing in various aspects of life, including in lighting arrangements at home. Proper lighting settings not only provide comfort, but can also affect the quality of sleep and health of its occupants.By considering these things, this study aims to develop a night light whose brightness can be adjusted according to the user's wishes without having to get out of bed, just with a few touches on the smartphone screen using a specially designed application and the application is easy to use. This research was conducted to develop a night light using Arduino as its main system, and to create an Android-based application that runs and regulates the brightness system of this night light. The author hopes that the design of this tool can be developed to be more sophisticated, better, and have more benefits and usefulness for its users

Abstract

Gebang Private Vocational School faces obstacles in managing the internet network, including uneven bandwidth distribution, difficulties in monitoring internet usage, and inadequate network security. The purpose of this study is to analyze and implement a MikroTik-based server hotspot network at Gebang Private Vocational School to improve the efficiency of network management, security, and internet service quality. This research uses observation, literature study, and design methods. The research stages include needs analysis, network topology design, MikroTik router configuration, server hotspot implementation, and system testing and evaluation. The result of this study is that the MikroTik-based server hotspot network has succeeded in improving bandwidth management, network security, and ease of monitoring internet usage. This system allows for restriction of user access, fairer distribution of bandwidth, and increased speed and stability of internet connections throughout school areas. Researchers suggest conducting periodic monitoring and maintenance of the system that has been implemented and provide training to school IT staff regarding the management and troubleshooting of the MikroTik system.
