Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain in-depth information about the participation of women farmers in agricultural production in the village of Gebangangkrik. Women in the village of Gebangangkrik go to work in the fields to help their husbands, from land preparation to post harvest process. Fees earned by women is lower than for men. They work with a rotation system or alternately between families or between neighbors that do not receive fees or spend big except for breakfast. There are many women farmers who worked to pay the debt, because when the bad season come, they had to borrow rice to other people who had more extensive rice fields with the assurance will voluntarily to help work in the fields when the next planting season. However, women farmers access to information in the field of agriculture is still very limited, so it seems that the girls were just as workers.

Abstract

This paper are the result of research that aims to find about formulation of the Marriage Law of Islam in Indonesia that are gender responsive. This normative juridical research method with the approach of legislation, conceptual and historical. Analysis of legal materials using prescriptive analysis, by interpretation, argumentation and legal logic. The results showed that, gender relations in Islam Marriage Law in Indonesia, as stipulated in Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law, was still gender bias. This is evidenced by still many chapters to be scrutinized, particularly Article 31 paragraph (3) and Article 34, concerning husband-wife relationship patterns unequal gender. Therefore, the need for a reformulation of Islamic Marriage Law to make it more gender responsive. Legal issues are problematic in Marriage Law of Islam, namely concerning the minimum age of marriage, the marriage guardian, polygamy and nushuz also need reformulated, based on three basic values of law as an analysis, by considering the concepts of Islamic law, in order to study on the legal that are gender responsive acceptable by the people.

Abstract

This paper explores the Fatima Mernissi of Hermeneutics with Feminism paradigm. According to him, one of the sources of discrimination against women is the interpretation the clerics of the some hadith that are full of with a view of masculinity. Fatima Mernissi does not hesitate to mention the narrators on Thabaqat companions, like Abu Hurariah which has narrated some hadith recognition of the Prophet, however full of with interests that lead to hatred against women. Skepticism and excessive criticism, of Fatima Mernissi was found when there is no recognition that false hadiths, can occur because of a mistake narrators without the element of intent. The attitude of skepticism Fatima Mernissi also found when, citing the data source from the book of scholars by adding a few words which caused it means to be biased, and also a negative view of the narrations that are considered misogynistic.

Abstract

In Islam, men and women are equal before God (das sollen). However, stereotype, discrimination and violance against woman often happen everywhere. The position of women according to the Serat Yusuf as a literature that was born from the social construction and the storage author who is gender bias placed women unequally. This research that used philology theory, reception theory and feminism theory examined the picture of unequal gender in Yusuf-Zulaikha in Serat Yusuf. Based on Philology theory, it was found that Serat Yusuf who was written by Nalaputra is a sung text. It was written in 1935 that consist of 29 chapters (pupuh). While based on the reception theory, the study revealed that the reading of Nalaputra as the writer of the Serat Yusuf on Yusuf- Zulaikha story that consists in the holy Quran experienced the expansion and additional part, plot, character. In the analysis of the feminist theory, the study discovered forms of unequal position of women such as women are perceived as a passive, emotional, unable to control their desire, men servants and their faith are lower than men.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of gender-based group communication. The theory used was group communication, gender communication and information theory. This research was using qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documents. The results showed that, the reality of women fishermen actively involved in gathering groups, cooperatives and groups develop themselves. The process of women's access to information, receive and process information must be notified in advance because, knowing the importance or whether only personal information. The role of group communication of the fishing communities women are at least three that conformity, social facilitation and polarization.

Abstract

This paper is the result of research that maps of domestic violence in divorce cases in Batang Religious Court by 2015. This literature research used a qualitative approach. Secondary data sources such as the archives of the Religious Court divorce case Batang 2015 and; other data that support the research. Data collection techniques using documentation and interviews. Analysis techniques using interactive analysis model. The results showed that, the map of domestic violence in divorce cases in Batang Religious Court in 2015, among others: physical violence, which in divorce case referred to, physical cruelty and mental cruelty, as many as 32 cases; psychological violence, as many as 628 cases; sexual violence, no and; economic violence (penelantara households), as many as 1036 cases.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the role of women in the family, which is different from the man, named as daughter, wife and mother. By nature, a woman is given the privilege to pregnancy, childbirth and lactation, thus automatically a woman (mother) has a closeness with children who are born. It allows a woman to be the heart of education for children in developing children's character into a superior generation. The existence of women as educators and forming the character of early childhood, making women more privileged position compared with men.

Abstract

This paper explores abaout the policy of exclusive ASI (breastfeeding) for women workers in Indonesia. The argument developed during this time are, breastfeeding is the right of every mother, not least women workers, as well as child rights guaranteed by the constitution. However, such rights are not regulated in policies on manpower and civil service. The legal fact, caused by the same values and interests between the state and men based on patriarkhism, so influential in perpetuating gender inequality, including in policies on manpower and civil service
