Abstract

This study aims to analyze the species diversity, density, coverage, and environmental conditions of seagrass beds at Geger Beach, Nusa Dua, Bali. The method used is quantitative descriptive, with field data collection through line transects and quadrats, as well as analysis of physical, chemical, and biological parameters. The results show the presence of six dominant seagrass species, namely Cymodocea rotundata, Thalassia hemprichii, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis, Halodule uninervis, and Halodule pinifolia. The highest density values were found in Cymodocea rotundata and Syringodium isoetifolium, with a total density reaching 1,119 stands/m². The average seagrass coverage was 39.83%, classified as moderate but still considered to be in an unhealthy condition. The diversity index was in the moderate category (1.37–1.45), evenness was high (0.76–0.81), and dominance ranged from low to moderate (0.25–0.31). Water quality parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and turbidity were still within the range that supports seagrass growth. In addition, five types of associated fauna (megabenthos) were found coexisting with the seagrass. This study emphasizes the importance of conserving seagrass beds as productive habitats and living spaces for various marine species

Abstract

Sustainable village development in Indonesia requires innovative approaches that integrate aspects of productivity, education, creativity, and practical application. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of KKN students in implementing the PEKA Village concept (Productive, Educational, Creative, and Applicative) through safety and disaster preparedness programs in Betiting Village. The research employed a qualitative approach with field research design, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation analysis using purposive sampling techniques involving village officials, community leaders, and active residents. The results show that KKN students play a strategic role as facilitators in addressing gaps in household safety knowledge that had never previously received attention. The socialization and practical demonstration programs for fire prevention, APAR usage, and LPG safety achieved high effectiveness with 100% participant participation. Success factors include program relevance to real needs, credibility of professional resource persons from the Fire Department, village government support, and interactive methods. The integrated implementation of the four PEKA characteristics successfully increased community capacity in disaster risk mitigation, MSME modernization, and sustainable empowerment. Multi- stakeholder collaboration creates a PEKA Village model that can be replicated for sustainable village transformation based on community participation in Indonesian rural area

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of weeding on the quality and yield of horenso spinach (Spinacia oleracea) cultivated at Agri Center Miyakonojo, Miyazaki, Japan. The research was conducted using two treatments without weeding and with weeding each on a plot of 10,000 m². Observed parameters included leaf color, leaf shape, leaf damage level, total harvest weight, and farm income analysis. The results showed that weeding had a significant positive effect on the quality of horenso spinach leaves. In the weeding treatment, leaf color remained bright green and glossy until the third month, leaf shape was broad and symmetrical, and leaf damage was minimal. Conversely, without weeding, leaf color tended to become dull/yellowish, leaf shape became smaller and uneven, and leaf damage levels were high. In terms of quantity, the weeding treatment yielded a total harvest weight of 240,000 kg (24 kg/m²), while the non-weeding treatment produced only 60,000 kg (6 kg/m²). Economic analysis indicated that the total revenue (TR) for the weeding treatment reached ¥1,320,000,000 with a net income of ¥1,309,673,780, whereas the non-weeding treatment had a TR of ¥330,000,000 with a net income of ¥319,935,780. This study concludes that weeding not only improves the quality and quantity of production but also provides substantial economic benefits. Therefore, weeding is recommended as an essential cultivation practice to enhance horenso spinach farm productivity

Abstract

This article examines the doctrine of creation as the foundation of ecological theology and its implications for the church's responsibility in addressing the ecological crisis in the 21st century. The doctrine of creation affirms that all creation is God's good work, thus humans are called to cultivate and care for the earth, not exploit it. From this perspective, the church has a strategic role in integrating ecological spirituality into its teaching, liturgy, and social practice. Ecological education, or eco-literacy, is a crucial instrument in shaping the congregation's ecological awareness, enabling Christian faith to be realized through concrete actions in preserving the integrity of creation. However, the implementation of the church's ecological responsibility still faces challenges, such as limited theological understanding, resistance to lifestyle changes, and minimal policy support. Therefore, the church is required to present a contextual, creative, and collaborative approach in responding to ecological issues. This article also emphasizes the global relevance and local contextualization of ecological theology, which positions the church as part of a universal movement to care for the earth and as an agent of transformation in addressing environmental challenges unique to Indonesia. Thus, the doctrine of creation has not only dogmatic value but also practical significance in building ecological awareness rooted in Christian faith

Abstract

This article examines the ethical implications of the Gospel of Matthew for the moral lives of believers, emphasizing the relevance of Jesus' teachings in shaping Christian identity and witness. The ethics taught in the Gospel of Matthew, particularly through the Sermon on the Mount, provide a solid foundation for Christian morality rooted in the values of the Kingdom of God. This research employed a qualitative method through literature review, examining biblical texts, theological literature, and relevant academic studies. The results indicate that the ethics of the Kingdom of God is the moral foundation that guides believers to live in piety, justice, and truth. The dimensions of love and forgiveness form a relational ethic that builds a harmonious life together. Furthermore, the social responsibility emphasized by Matthew calls believers to act as salt and light of the world, making concrete contributions to creating justice and peace. Furthermore, the integration of faith and action is a key emphasis in Matthew's ethics, where true faith is manifested through concrete actions that reflect God's love. Thus, this article confirms that the ethics of the Gospel of Matthew is holistic, transformative, and relevant to the moral lives of believers, both in the personal and social spheres

Abstract

This research is motivated by globalization and business competition, liabilities being an important external source of funds but also bringing financial physics, and data from 2021- 2024 showing fluctuations in liabilities and profits, indicating a complex relationship between the two. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of short-term and long-term liabilities on the profitability of PT Indospring Tbk. This research was conducted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from March to April 2025. The research method used is quantitative. The data used is secondary data obtained from PT Indospring Tbk's financial statements for 2021-2024. The analytical techniques used are debt and profitability ratios, multiple regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. The results show a complex correlation between liabilities and profitability. Increases in liabilities are not always followed by increases in profitability, and vice versa. 2023 proves that with proper management, companies can generate large profits despite their significant debt ratios. This study recommends that companies increase the use of liabilities that support productive activities to generate profit in order to maintain a competitive ROE above industry standards

Abstract

This article examines the Lord's Supper as a means of grace and church identity in the era of globalization. The Lord's Supper is not merely understood as a symbolic liturgical rite, but as a medium through which Christ presents the gift of salvation to the congregation. In the church's theological tradition, this sacrament serves as a means of renewing faith, strengthening the unity of the body of Christ, and affirming ecclesial identity. Amidst globalization marked by cultural pluralism, digital mobility, and the tide of relativism, the Lord's Supper serves as a reminder of the church's call to remain faithful to the Gospel while remaining open to the world. This article highlights four key dimensions: first, the Lord's Supper as a means of grace within the church's tradition; second, as an ecclesial identity that distinguishes the church from other social communities; third, as a means of psychological and social formation that strengthens congregational solidarity; and fourth, the adaptation of this sacrament to the digital age and the COVID-19 pandemic. Through qualitative analysis based on literature, this article confirms that the Lord's Supper has profound relevance for forming a faithful community, rooted in tradition, while also capable of facing global challenges with a clear identity and solid spirituality

Abstract

This article examines the theology of hope in Paul's letters and its relevance for a society experiencing suffering. Paul's hope is understood as the foundation of eschatological faith, affirming the congregation that present suffering is not comparable to the glory to come (Romans 8:18). From Paul's perspective, suffering is a participation in Christ's work, which in turn gives rise to perseverance, patience, and steadfast faith. This theology of hope is not only personal but also communal, as Paul emphasizes that true hope must foster social solidarity and love in the life of the congregation (Galatians 6:9). Thus, Paul's eschatology is not escapist, but rather has a transformative function, providing new meaning, strength, and direction in life amidst the reality of suffering. For modern societies struggling with suffering due to injustice, poverty, and disaster, Paul's eschatology is relevant as a source of comfort, resilience, and motivation to strive for a more dignified life. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review through a hermeneutical analysis of Paul's letters and contemporary theological literature. The study's findings indicate that Paul's hope contributes significantly to building a resilient faith and social solidarity in a suffering society
