Abstract

Teacher creativity in managing the class is very important because it will support the success of teachers in overcoming student learning boredom. The purpose of this study is to determine the creativity of Islamic education teachers in managing the class to overcome learning boredom, the role of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in instilling character in students. This study is a field study using qualitative methods and certain procedures, the results of the study indicate that the role of Aqidah Akhlak teachers is to instill character values in their students, the strategies carried out by teachers include advising students to arrive on time, following madrasah regulations and teacher instructions, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasah by not littering, and keeping cell phones and valuables away from the class, and giving sanctions to students who violate.

Abstract

Achieving quality learning competency in Aqidah Akhlak is one of the main goals of Islamic education in schools. Intra- and extra-curricular religious activities play a strategic role in supporting this learning process. This study aims to identify, analyze, and optimize the role of intra- and extra-curricular religious activities in supporting the achievement of quality Aqidah Akhlak competency. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies in Islamic-based junior high schools. The results show that intra-curricular activities such as classroom learning, thematic religious discussions, and project-based evaluations support strengthening students' understanding of the concept of Aqidah Akhlak. Meanwhile, extra-curricular activities, such as short-term Islamic boarding schools, religious competitions, and study groups, have a positive impact on character formation and the implementation of moral values in daily life. The synergy between these two activities has been proven to increase student learning motivation, create a conducive religious environment, and strengthen the relationship between theory and practice. However, optimizing these activities requires structured management, the involvement of competent educators, and support from parents and the community. The findings of this study suggest the development of an integrated guide for implementing religious intra- and extracurricular activities that align with student needs and curriculum targets. The implementation of this strategy is expected to become an effective and sustainable model for strengthening religious-based character education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of Theme 1 Subtheme 2 material through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in grade VI B students of SDN 1 Baosan Lor, Ngrayun District. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kurt Lewin model consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, which are implemented in two cycles. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation, and student learning outcome tests. Initial results showed that before the implementation of the PBL model, only 40% of students understood the material, while the rest still experienced difficulties. After the implementation of the first cycle with improvements in learning media and a more contextual approach, the learning completion rate increased to 64.71%. In the second cycle, improvements were made in time management, creating a pleasant classroom atmosphere, and providing follow-up learning, which succeeded in increasing the completion rate to 94.12%. The PBL model has been proven to be able to increase student active involvement, clarify conceptual understanding, and create more interesting and meaningful learning. Discussions with colleagues also help teachers develop more effective learning strategies, emphasizing the connection between theory and real-life practice. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in increasing student understanding, motivation, and active participation in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

Authentic assessment in the teaching of Aqidah and Akhlak plays a crucial role in holistically measuring students' understanding of the values of faith and noble morals. This article aims to explain the concept of authentic assessment based on its definition, assessment standards, principles of approach, and relevant techniques and instruments. The discussion begins by defining authentic assessment standards, which refer to the accuracy, relevance, and meaningfulness of assessment data according to the curriculum. Assessment principles, such as the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, are also examined in depth to ensure a holistic approach. The scope of authentic assessment includes evaluation of learning processes, outcomes, and the impact they have on student character development. Techniques used include observation, interviews, written tests, projects, portfolios, and self- and peer-assessments. To ensure the validity of the assessment, the instruments used must have validity, reliability, and sensitivity to individual differences. Assessment mechanisms and procedures are discussed systematically, from planning and implementation to reporting assessment results. Planning involves developing learning achievement indicators and selecting appropriate methods. Assessment is carried out through direct observation and objective recording of student performance. Assessment results are then reported in an informative format, reflecting comprehensive learning outcomes, both quantitatively and qualitatively. This article concludes that authentic assessment in Aqidah Akhlak learning aims not only to measure learning outcomes but also to shape character and enhance the internalization of moral values in students' daily lives. Therefore, a deep understanding and application of appropriate procedures are required so that assessment can provide optimal benefits for students' comprehensive development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning strategies applied in developing students' understanding of aqidah and akhlak at Muhammadiyah Ashabul Kahfi Elementary School, Special Program, Sidoharjo, Wonogiri. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the learning strategies applied at Muhammadiyah Ashabul Kahfi Elementary School, Special Program, Sidoharjo, Wonogiri include a contextual, active approach, and are based on Islamic values integrated into the curriculum. Learning is carried out through lectures, discussions, and direct practice in daily life. Students' understanding of aqidah and akhlak increased significantly with the application of varied methods, as well as support from an environment that supports strengthening Islamic character. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the implementation of appropriate learning strategies can improve students' understanding of aqidah and akhlak, which is reflected in their attitudes and behaviors that are more in accordance with Islamic teachings. Based on this, the author is very interested in examining more deeply the learning strategies applied in developing students' understanding of aqidah and akhlak. This study found that the implementation of appropriate learning strategies, supported by a contextual approach and based on Islamic values, can effectively improve the understanding of the aqidah and akhlak of students at SD Muhammadiyah Ahabul Kahfi Special Program Sidoharjo Wonogiri.
