Abstract

The 'opiate' case against gadgets makes children to put aside their active playing. One of the children's television shows which to date shows active playing is show cased in the Si Bolang program on Trans7. Preliminary observations by researcher found that 5 out of 7 children who watched Si Bolang liked the playing scenes that were displayed. The playing scene that was aired by Si Bolang showed activities that require a lot of body movements. The study entitled "Motivation to Watch Si Bolang on Trans7 in Encouraging Children to Play Active" aims to find out what motivates children to watch Si Bolang and how children's motivation can encourage their desire to play active. Using descriptive qualitative research methods and a phenomenological approach that refers to the theory of motivation of someone using television by Alan Rubin (West & Turner, 2008: 102), divided into several categories such as pleasure, relaxation, and to learn certain content. Data collection is done by in-depth interviews with open-ended and using interview guides. The unit of analysis in this study uses techniques that refer to the analysis of phenomenological data. The results showed that children's motivation to watch television was only for relaxation. There are children who are compelled to watch television because of a motivating factor from outside themselves, that is from parents. However, when viewed from the child's motivation to watch television shows (Si Bolang on Trans7) for pleasure and to learn certain content. Child has their reasons for watching television and liking Si Bolang. In addition, not all children's motivation to watch Si Bolang can encourage children to play active. The limitation factor of the tool and knowing the scenes in Si Bolang shows that have been well prepared by the crew are the children's reasons why they don't imitate Bolang-style play active. Children imitate Bolang-style active play scenes using improvised tools and playing with their own way.

Abstract

In general, a whole or a complete family supported by the roles between a father and a mother. Many families end up not living together because of various problems, from divorce to the death of one of the parents. This research is motivated by a singk who experiences problems because of her busy work. It could impact the children with lack of communication and the intensity of face-to-face, which directly affects the quality of the relationship between the mother and her child. This study aims to describe the maintenance of the relationship between Ibu sebagai orang tua asuh tunggals and children using qualitative methods. This study refers to the interpretive paradigm with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were three pairs of informants with mothers who acted as Ibu sebagai orang tua asuh tunggals and had children aged over 17 years, both male and female. The data collected with in-depth interviews technique. The theories used in this study are the theory of Relationship Maintenance, the method of Relational Dialectics, the Role Theory by, and the theory of Equality (Equity Theory). The results of this study indicate that communication patterns between single mother and children have their own way of maintaining relationships, namely in creating positive relationships, closeness, and openness and have different guarantees and assignments. Constraints that often occur between mothers as single foster parents and children occur due to reduced communication intensity, reduced face-to-face frequency and also financial constraints. Effective communication affects the quality of the relationship between mother as a single foster parent and child. The communication patterns applied in this study refer to pluralistic and laissez faire communication patterns. The relationship between a mother as a single mother and a child is not linear, and is always marked by a change, the relationship is always in a changing state when various contradictions arise.

Abstract

The writing of this research was motivated to prove and test about relation of television’s advertising exposure and relation of capability brand ambassador with purchase intentions of Mie Sedaap’s product. . Theories in this research is Strong Advertising Theory and Source of Attractivness Theory. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with 100 people for the respondents. The criteria of the sample is men and women aged 16 – 30 who lived in Semarang, Had watched Mie Sedaap’s television advertising, and never buy Mie Sedaap product before (Korean Spicy Chicken Varian). This research used Kendall’s Tau B analysis. The results shows that the significant value of each variable which is advertising exposure and capability of brand ambassador were 0,997 and 0,168 which means had no signigcance related.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of brand image, product quality, and price perception on purchasing decisions of the Smartfren Super 4G Unlimited internet package. This research is an explanatory research object of men and women aged 17-25 years who know or use the Smartfren Super 4G Unlimited internet package in the city of Semarang. Testing is done using simple linear analysis. The results showed that the three variables did not have an influence on purchasing decisions of the Smartfren Super 4G Unlimited internet package with a significant value of brand image of 0.626 (> 0.05), product quality of 0.708 (> 0.05), and price perception of 0.331 (> 0.05).

Abstract

Romantic relationships of different religions that are lived in the lives of young people in Indonesia are quite interesting because they are considered different from the habits of society in general. Romantic relations of different religions are prone to conflict. One of the many conflicts that will be faced is the views and blessings of parents who are certainly not easy to obtain because they are considered not in accordance with the values and norms that exist in religion and family. So someone who decides to undergo a romantic relationship of different religions is faced with the risk of conflict between themselves and their parents. The children and parents studied in this study were students who had or were undergoing romantic relations of different religions aged 19-21 years and one parent of the child using the in-depth interview method. This study aims to find out how the experience of children - parents in resolving conflicts based on romantic relations of different religions. Therefore, researchers use interpersonal conflict management theory as a reference to theoretical criteria. The data collection method of this study was in-depth interviews with three children who had or were undergoing romantic relations of different religions and one of their parents. The results of this study indicate that information about the romantic relations of different religious children is private information. Disclosure and closure regarding the romantic relations of different religions between children and parents is based on various kinds of motivations and different ways from one another. Dependency and conflicting goals trigger conflict between children and parents. Child and parent conflict management styles in this study are grouped into five categories, namely competition, avoidance, accommodation, compromise and collaboration. Based on the findings of research on interpersonal conflict management, researchers find that the conflict management style used in dealing with problems will depend on the individual itself, because each conflict management style has its own risks so it is a consideration of children and parents to decide conflict management will be used in the family so that it can reach the desired conflict resolution of children and parents

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of problems in the community due to the impact of the spread of hoax on the internet. The massive spread of hoax on the internet is sourced from unofficial or fake websites that present as if they are trusted online news portals through presenting various news information. The low interest in reading and media literacy in Indonesian society makes it easy for people to trust sensational or horrendous news without verifying the truth of the news. This study aims to identify how the news elements of news hoax are engineered and to identify what types of news hoax often appear. This research is a mixed method with descriptive quantitative text analysis. To answer this research question, researchers used the concept of online journalism and hoax. The results of the study found that the news elements that experienced manipulation in the text composition + supplementary data category were in the title section. Hoax are changed to provocative sentences by taking the names of figures, institutions / organizations and countries. While the category of news elements that have been manipulated in the news element is what by replacing or adding sentences that match the news hoax. The type of hoax that often appears on websites is a type of disinformation with manipulated content categories.
