Abstract

Sayung shore in Demak is one of many shores that its coastline has been receded quite alarming. Bedono village have the worst damage, now just five of seven hamlets exist in Bedono. Senik and Tambaksari are two retreat hamlets due to erosion. Moreover, the access roads among those hamlets were disconnected, and the sea water had flooded the settlement residence. From the years of 2000-2005, 325 Ha fish ponds were lost due to the erosion, and 110 Ha were flooded by the tide. The objective of this study is to plan Sayung shore protection. Location of the study is on western side of Sayung river with the length of coastline around 3.9 kms.The aspects of analysis are tidal currents, wave generated by wind, coastal morphology, and geological engineering. There are four alternatives of shore protections which are breakwater, revetment, groin and combinations.Combination of revetment and breakwater were analysed against coastal morphology, function, low cost structure, and workability. Revetment along the 2.3 kms will be built on the western side, and on the eastern side three units of breakwater, which each breakwater length is 100 m with 40 m breakwater gap.

Abstract

Flood is one of the disaster which often happened in Semarang city. Many negative impact arising from flood disaster, such as loss of victim or material. One of the handling solution is  developed flood shelter. Some region of Semarang cityhave own flood shelter, so in this case we need to identify of elegibility and improvement. Identification location of flood shelter are in Beringin Watershed Semarang which consists of 6 Kelurahan, namely Kelurahan Wates, Kelurahan Wonosari, Kelurahan Mangunharjo, Kelurahan Mangkang Wetan, Kelurahan Gondorio, and Kelurahan Beringin. Data obtained from the field survey, with existing data of flood shelter that has been there. Sources of criteria for  flood shelter location are sphere project handbook, 2011, Health Minister’s decision on the minimum sandart of health problems caused by disaster prevention and handling of refugees, and egulations of BPBD. Some regions like Sub-District of Wonosari require a building in the form of House Podium and emergency doorstep. Because the location have bank- bank resulting the pursuing of evacuating and handling. Besides, some shelter pitched a tent of the size according to requirement to accomodate lacking of room for refugee in shelter. But, people arround the riverbanks should keep the environment clean and not littering, so can decrease the impact of flood.

Abstract

Drainage problems, especially in the cities of Indonesia has become important with the frequent occurrence of  flooding or water logging in the rainy season at urban areas that disrupt people life and obstruct transportations fluency and cause property losses in large enough quantities. The main cause of flooding or water logging is a change from the natural landscape into the development environment, hence, increasing impermeable surfaces, such as roads, parking areas, sidewalks, and residential areas. This change reduces, disrupts, or eliminates the natural vegetation, land surface, basin, and natural drainage pattern that prevents, vaporizes, stores, issues slowly and absorbs the rainwater. The impact of changes in the landscape of OASIS Area of PT. Djarum Kudus is the increasing direct runoff (run off) while reducing water seep into the ground so that it can make the puddle of water. In its planning, the hydrologic analysis using the 15 years of rainfall data in Sta. Kedung Gupit is performed. In hydrologic analysis of this planning is applied the probability distributions of Log Pearson type 3 and is used EPA SWMM program with 10-years return period of flooding, thus, it is obtained the maximum flood discharge before construction in the amount of 9.05 m3/second and the maximum flood discharge after development in the amount of 16.69 m3/second. Based on the results of that analysis, the planning of drainage canals is carried out. In the planning, the used drainage canals are new drainage canals which are constructed at the OASIS area of PT. Djarum Kudus. The dimensions of the drainage canals that are used vary from the largest with the dimension of 2.5 m x 3 m and the smallest with the dimension of 0.6 m x 0.6 m. Furthermore, to determine the effectiveness of the drainage canals, it is modeled using HEC RAS program. In the calculations using that program, all the canals that are planned in the OASIS area of PT. Djarum are currently able to accommodate water during the flooding for return period plan of 10 years. Planning areas OASIS Drainage System PT. Djarum Kudus produces The dimensions of the drainage canals that are the largest with the dimension of 2.5 m x 3 m and the smallest with the dimension of 0.6 m x 0.6 m. The construction of drainage canals at OASIS area of PT. Djarum Kudus takes time for 4 months with a total cost incurred is 9,490,131,000.00 (nine billion four hundred and ninety million one hundred and thirty-one thousand rupiahs).

Abstract

Semarang city as a big city develop rapidly as centre business, trade, and government in Central Java faced with transportation problems such as traffic congestion caused by the volume of road vehicles with the road capacity is not balanced. The result of analysis of existing conditions with reference, Bangkong Intersection dominant currents in the western and eastern approach that shows the performance of intersections with an average degree of saturation 1,218  that means in excess of the ideal number. In the eastern approach Bangkong Intersection in the peak of morning, afternoon and evening, long queue reached 95 m, 219 m, and 219 m. To value the average intersection delay 62.46 sec/smp , 235.24 sec/smp, and 137.68 sec/smp. While in Milo Intersection, average DS values 1,100 that means in the excess of the ideal number. Long queues at the eastern approach Milo Intersection in the peak morning, afternoon and evening is 108 m, 242 m, and 242 m. To value the average intersection delay with a value of 36.99 sec/smp, 65.39 sec/smp, and 108.16 sec/smp.To get the operation optimization Simpang Bangkong and Milo made simulations by showing 3 scenarios. It was made the scenario 1 is the green time adjustments resulting DS same value in every second approach the intersection. Scenario 2 is to change LTOR into LT with the result being a greater capacity, the DS becomes small, a larger queue length, and delay be small. Next, scenario 3 is made by changing into a one-way system. Here after devised scenario 3, is one way system to produce a DS value becomes smaller, a small queue length, delay values are relatively larger. For QL values obtained Bangkong Intersection 44 m, 40 m, and 99 m. the average of intersection delay values 46.88 sec/smp, 38.27 sec/smp , and 40.74 sec/smp.  For Milo Intersection, the value of QL is 27, 15 m, and 18 m. Value of the average intersection delay 8.81 sec/smp, 32.60 sec/smp , and 7.61 sec / smp. The results of the analysis with 3 scenarios show that one way system scenario has better performance with consideration of this scenario prioritize large traffic flow from west to east and toward the opposite.

Abstract

The structural of BRI tower building Semarang is designed in seismic zone of Semarang city, which is designed by using the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRFS) based on ”Indonesian Concrete Code (SNI 03-2847-2002)”, while the analysis of earthquake load uses response spectrum method based on “Indonesian Seismic Code(SNI 03-1726-2012). The design structural of BRI tower building Semarang using“Capacity Design” concept. As for using this concept has purpose what if strong earthquake happens, that cause forms plastic hinge on structural elements which is desired appeared on the beams. To guarantee plastic hinge happens on the beams, so the columns must be designed stronger than the beams (Strong Column Weak Beam Concept). The analysis of the structure is using SAP2000 computer program  version 14. As the result of calculations showed that structural element of BRI tower building is safe based on analyze.

Abstract

Semarang city as a center of activity will always face problems which require the movement of vehicles and infrastructure facilities. Therefore need to model the movement on route choice in urban road network. By knowing the route choice models can be seen in the new alternative road network which is parallel to and travel time / travel costs are lower , then the riders tend to use the new road. In this study conducted at Mijen area road network. Road Manyaran – Mijen is one of the most important because of it’s function as a alternative road that connects subdistrict Manyaran with subdistrict Mijen. The results of the Analysis and Upgrade Design Alternative Road Manyaran – Mijen with 10 years design life, the value of the existing DS (Degree of Saturation) = 0,75, therfore it must improve the road by widening of 6 meters to 7 meters by 2 meters shoulder (2/2UD) and overlay. And also change the area of flexible pavement fracture with rigid pavement. From the analysis and planning of road improvement Manyaran - Mijen obtained results in the form of construction of the widening of 6 metres to 7 metres and composition of pavement construction for widening Laston height of 10 cm, 15 cm crushed stone class B (CBR 80 %), 20 cm gravel class B (CBR 50 %). While the overlay calculation showed 12 cm (Laston). For planning drainage (channel edge), the form used is rectangular channel. Plan budget for road planning Manyaran - Mijen This is Rp 72.518.550.000,00.

Abstract

Simpang Lima area of Semarang is administration region, education residence, service, and industry which are constructed in the center of Semarang sub district. Center Semarang region is an area where is topographically flat. Industry development, trade, and rapid growth people bring Simpang Lima are of Semarang as the prominent center growth of Semarang city. In addition flood happened in region of Simpang Lima area of Semarang is caused by the lack of drainage performance, high sedimentation, and not yet maximum in flood control using provision of water pumps. There are some scenarios to solve that proble,. the first scenario is by fixing the channels in Simpang Lima are of Semarang in order to increase the capacity of channel flow. This way includes widening the channel, fixing the slope of bottom channel, and scanting the discourtesy of channel flow wall. Second scenario is by making new channel in Simpang Lima cycle, because of the difficult to rehabilitate the existing channel which locates under sidewalk of Simpang Lima cycle, so taken solution to make new channel. The new channel locates under the road of Simpang Lima cycle and uses closed channel type. The third scenario is by maximizing the capacity in Kartini Pump Station. Hope by maximizing the capacity of pump may fasten the process of water disposal from Kampung Kali River to Banjir Kanal Timur River and reduce water level in Simpang Lima area of Semarang drainage channel downstream section.
