Abstract

Traffic accidents are a serious problem that requires treatment given the magnitude of the resulting losses. For this study needs to be done is conducting an analysis of the data kecelakaaan existing traffic. This final project took place Unggaran Highway Toll - Bawen in Semarang Regency. The roads are arterial roads are congested with traffic. This is due to the road connecting Semarang as one of the major cities in Central Java with the surrounding areas, for example : Solo, Magelang and Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to identify the location and cause of road accidents in order to provide suggestions efforts to reduce accidents will happen. Analysis of the data by the author to determine the relationship between variables that affect the number of accidents using SPSS computer program, while for determining the location of the accident - prone (blackspot), using statistical techniques of traffic control. Incidence of traffic accidents are caused by several factors, namely human (driver), environment, vehicle and road. From the data analysis, humans are the main factors causing accidents (66.89%). Driver is less anticipated driver behavior most often cause accidents (72.45%). The most frequent type of accident happens is hit the front - front (50.85%), with motorcycles (53.78%) as the most frequent vehicles involved. The most frequent time of an accident is at 12:00 to 18:00 (31.74%), and professional drivers who are often involved in accidents are employees / private (61.86%). Location blackspots on roads Unggaran - Bawen have 6, which Pertigaan Citroen (40 events), Pertigaan Weak Abang (35) events, Pertigaan Ngobo ( 31 events), Home of PT Sosro = (27 events), Home of PT Apac Inti Corpora (32 events), Pertigaan Bawen (36 events) Accident that occurred on Jalan Raya Unggaran - Bawen in the next 5 years (2008-2012) is as much 293 events and 201 events which occurred at the point - titk blackspot, while the rest occurred with locations spread along roads Unggaran - Bawen. Details of the total casualties are 444 people minor injuries (72.55%), 78 people were seriously injured (12.75%), and 90 people died (14.71%). Based on the data and the field conditions we have several recommendations to reduce the rate of accidents on roads Unggaran - Bawen ie : need to be made to the guardrail or median openings at the intersection with the aim of anticipating the next hit-and - forward, need to manufacture lap behind (U - Turn) on roads Unggaran - Bawen to facilitate vehicle that will turn it over, the need for enlargement of the fingers - fingers curved corner at the intersection, thereby reducing the frontal crash and will expand the driver's view when cornering at intersections, the need for the provision of counseling about driving safety, the need for the creation of a study conducted motorcycle lanes on Jalan Raya Unggaran-Bawen.

Abstract

Kaligung Bridge is located in Tuwel village of Slawi in Tegal regency. The Bridge connects Bumijawa and Tuwel area and stretches along 70 meters above Kaligung river. In this project, Kaligung Tuwel bridge was designed as a steel truss system. The design steps are as follows : analysis of the existing conditions, design the upper structure and the substructure of the bridge, and calculate budget plan (RAB). The Design of the upper structure considers loads such as : self weight, dead load, traffic load, wind load, and seismic load. The design was carried out using LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) method. Next, the substructure was designed by calculating the dimension of the foundation and abutment. The foundation was designed as a caisson while the abutment wasof cantilever type.

Abstract

Yogyakarta city in ones of the big city in java, that straregic because of tourism and student city. The every years vehicle to in Yogyakarta be increase. There is be the main of jamming trafgic, ones of them is Urip Sumoharjo street from STA 03+100 – STA 03+585. From a sekunder data from dirjen Bina Marga Yogyakarta show of digit traffic growth daily being increase for 4 last year. The number of street ministry feasibility show with degree of saturation (DS), with condition DS < 0,75. The result of the analysis from survey on September 2013 show DS to existing road not eliginle with grades DS 1,25 because park ib roads so width then effectife traffic decreased of road capacity. Main of step solution jamming traffic are park optimalitation, with manage parking patters with some simulation in cornerand length with the reduction of parking on-street along 240 m of the junction the Galeria Mall, to meet the needs of the SRP which is less need to create a new SRP for making buildings with parking in the surrounding streets Urip Sumoharjo. After then steep feel not optimal to change of DS for the next 4 years, make a building parking in arround of Urip Sumoharjo. With it capacity of road will be increase so DS what quality last a long time same with increase of growth LHR Yogyakarta city in next year.

Abstract

Developments in the area Ambarawa showed increased very rapidly, as shown by the many activities of the trip reset - shuttle from Semarang - Yogyakarta, passing Ambarawa. Barriers of time and is very important to know because it is the minimum travel time for a vehicle to the place of destination. As we know often times it happens that so long queue of vehicles caused by several factors during the journey, such as the existence of market centers along the road, not signalized intersections and also the driver's lack of discipline have contributed to the low road. Barriers of this trip will be a negative impact, such as in the form of lost time due to the long trip and the increase in vehicle operating costs (VOC) to the existing road. The purpose of this evaluation is to analyze the velocity space (space mean speed) and the Vehicle Operating Cost comparison Ambarawa ring road and the existing road. The calculation of Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC) using the formula for the ring road Pacific Consultant International (PCI) and using the formula in the existing road curve Vehicle Speed. This is because the ring road are relatively few barriers while relatively many barriers existing road. So using a different method for determining vehicle operating costs. From the analysis of the average velocity (space mean speed) it can be seen that the travel time through the streets ring with a distance of 7.3 miles faster than the road with a distance of 6.5 km eksisiting this can be seen from the average velocity (space mean speed) vehicles both cars (58.52 km / h), buses (52.36 km / h) and a truck (47.67 km / h) faster past the ring road ring road vehicles as cars, buses and trucks are not a lot of experience travel barriers. The results of the comparison vehicle operating cost (VOC), obtained past the ring road Ambarawa cost more frugal when dibandingankan the existing road. Where the economic value of automobiles Rp 415.11 (3.09%); truck Rp 2321.46 (4.01%), and buses Rp 3383.27 (8.49%). This is because as the value of travel time on the ring road is more economical than the existing road, so it is recommended the diversion of heavy vehicles (class IIA and IIB) have to go through the roundabout Ambarawa so will reduce the volume of vehicles passing through the existing road also to be more economical in spending operational and can reduce travel time for goods brought more quickly to the destination.

Abstract

The flood problem and inundation local often occurring in regions banyumanik, precisely in the intersection of Jalan Durian Raya. A limited drainage channels plus garbage and sedimentation blockage makes the water cannot flow when it rains. This leads to a puddle by the depth of between 10 - 15 cm for 1 - 2 hours. Therefore planning drainage the environmental from can overcome flooding and inundation on jalan durian. In planning, hydrological analysis is performed to seek discharge plan with program HEC-HMS. Acquired discharge flood plan of 39,6 m3/s with repeated periods of 10 years. Then to find out the effectiveness of existing cross section, rivers and drainage channels are modelled with program HEC-RAS. Cross section is planned by condition of steady flow. The result of reckoning using existing programs show a cross section rivers cannot accommodate discharge plan. Similarly with its drainage channels. Treatment done with increased capacity rivers and drainage channels. River cross section in the normalization with three types of cross-section (type I near the lower B = 7 m and H = 3, 5 m, midstream type II B = 6, 5 m and H = 3, 5 m, type III near the upper B = 5 and H = 3, 5 m). While cross section drainages deepened and assembly of a parapet to prevent the overflow.

Abstract

Majapahit road is one of important roads in Semarang city which is the entrance to the city from the East bound. There are adjacent intersections on this road with distance only 70 m, namely Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Fatmawati intersection and Jalan Majapahit - Jalan Soekarno Hatta intersection. This adjacent intersections have been causing long delay and high degree of saturation, especially at morning- and afternoon-peak hours . This study aims to analyze the performance of the intersections, and to provide recommendations to improve the traffic performance by applying various scenarios using Synchro plus SimTraffic 7.0 program. The scenario proposed were conducting traffic management, widening the road, and so on.To ensure that Synchro program can be used in the simulation, validation of the Synchro’s results was performed by comparing them with those of Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. The analysis produced that at this moment, the intersectionscannot serve well the flow of traffic, as shown by the degree of saturation of the intersections that exceeded 0,75.Several scenarios have been made to solve the problem of congestion at intersections and the among them, traffic management is the best one that could be recommended.However, the implementation of the scenario needs the local government to play the role in issuing regulations which could reduce the volume of vehicles passing through the intersections such as increasing public transpor contribution, imposing three-in-one systems, electronic road pricing system, or as well as other policies.

Abstract

The change of used areas in Siliwangi road, from settlement to be the centre of business – service, industrials and office, will appear traffic movement in Krapyak and Tol Krapyak – Jatingaleh intersection. Moreover there will be some problem on traffic phenomena as traffic jam, time of delay, air pollution that increase, accident and other traffic problem that will cause lose time, fuel use, and cost. This study aims to analyzed the performance of Krapyak intersection and Tol Krapyak – Jatingaleh intersection, it should be changed the traffic management and geometric research to minimized the traffic jam and air pollution on both intersection. The pattern of the movement of the road beside both intersection can be obtained by using origin – destination matrix (ODM). The advantage of this method in which the vehicle volume and the value of obstacle in each intersection, the pattern traffic movement can be gained. Of course it will minimized the cost, time, human resources. The performance of the intersection will be measure and analyzed using Synchro 7.0 from America. The advantage of this program is able to stimulate planning yield and easy to operate as well. The alternated solution from this study is to broaden road lines of 3,5 meter on each intersection and the alternated road for vehicle to public transportation in the value of 40%. The result of this analyzed in existing condition is measured by DS value on Krapyak intersection 1,29; emission of CO 2089 gram and in Tol Krapyak – Jatingaleh is of 1,41; emission CO 1903 gram. The broaden of road line (3,5 meter) the value DS Krapyak intersection 0,73 (decrease 43,3%); emission CO 2293 gram (increase 8,89%) in Tol Krapyak – Jatingaleh intersection the value DS 0,74 (decrease 47,5%); emission CO 1899 gram (decrease 0,21%). The assumption of the change of private to public transportation of 40% the value DS in Krapyak intersection 0,71% (decrease 44,9%); emission CO 1353 gram (decrease 35,2%) in Tol Krapyak – Jatingaleh intersection the value DS 0,62% (decrease 56%); emission CO 1120 gram (decrease 41,1%). The result of analysis can be concluded, assumption transfer of private car to public transportation equal to 40% is solution able to be optimal of performance service of intersection. Where result of DS equal to 0,71 and 0,62 which have fulfilled conditions of intersection performance ≤ 0,75, and also emission of CO 1,353 ppm and 1,120 ppm have fulfilled conditions of value float pollution boundary that is, ranging from 0 - 50 ppm where, entering in good category (there no effect to environment and health). Hence can be recommended, for related government utilize to repair the pre requirement and suitable requirement public transportations, and improve security, service of consumer of public transportation. In research hereinafter, enabled to use ODM method and program of Synchro 7.0.

Abstract

The increasing number of private vehicles using in Semarang causes a high traffic volume in some primary roadways of the city. It can be seen from the use of official cars vehicle / personal that originally totaled 34,000 vehicles in 2007 to 44,600 vehicles in 2009 (Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Semarang, 2009). The presence of mass public transportation Bus Rapid Transit, which is Trans Semarang, is considered not able to overcome such problem yet. The value of the load factor both BRT corridor I and II were only 20-30%. (Based on research Chairunnisa R, Yenni N, 2010 and Ilham H. Rasyid, Aldila Bachtawar., 2013). The aim of this research is to evaluate public transportation’s performance and to figure out the policy of public transportation that is suitable for the economic condition, and demand from citizens of the city of Semarang. The methods used are analyzing previous research data about public transportation, especially BRT Trans Semarang, and processing primary data in the form of interview survey to citizens. The survey is done in three sub-districts: Ngaliyan, Pedurungan, and Banyumanik. The aspects that are reviewed through the side of effectiveness and efficiency of public transportation are headway, frequency, public transport fares, security, safety, and comfort. According to the result of the research, it is identified that more than 50% of citizens prefer using private vehicles, because the public transportation had not satisfy yet. Therefore, the effort of improving and developing provided public transportation is needed. In this case, the region is divided into two sections journey, namely urban and suburban areas. In the urban areas, can be done by revamping the BRT transport system, the provision of special BRT lane, and the provision of feeder that fits the needs of society. Whereas in suburban areas, public transportation is needed for high speed travel time savings, in addition to reducing the occurrence of traffic congestion on the main roads of the city.

Abstract

This Final Project contained about land stability and it countermeasures on roads Cening Sub-district of Singorojo District of Kendal Central Java. This road crosses the hills with unstable soil conditon. Based on the soil drilling test result, it’s contain of  clay, clay stone ( splinter ), and clay stone ( clay shale ) layers. This Final Project analyzes value of the slope safety factor that included a condition when occured of the movement of soil slopes which is caused by instability on slopes due to degdradation of soil layers, manual calculation of slope stability using Fellenius method and Plaxis V.8.2 computer program. Based on the to manual calculation of slope stability using Fellenius method,it’s obtained value of the slope safety factor equal to 1,074 and use Plaxis software obtained value of the slope safety factor equal to 1,081. Those values of the slope safety factor are still less than slope stability regulation equal to 1,5, with the result that the slope condition is prone to landslide. The Analysis result indicate that reinforcement slope with bored pile with diameter of 0,55 m in depth of five meters which is placed at the bottom of the slope, it’s the alternative handling had increased the value of the safety factor with the factor of safety of the existing condition which is from 1,081 become 1,812.

Abstract

Semarang city is very strategic because it is located in the middle of the north track of Java, connecting East Java and West Java. Annually vehicles across the city of Semarang increases, this was the trigger traffic jams especially on road segment and intersection of the north - west Semarang city. The growth of Gross Regional Domestic Product at Constant Prices 2000 Central Java 6 percent represents that the rate of growth in daily traffic average intersection has increased in the next 5 years. Figures show the feasibility of the service with the highest degree of saturation (DS), the condition on the road DS < 0.75 and at the intersection of DS < 0.85. The results of the analysis of primary data obtained from the field survey in September until Oktober 2013 showed the value of DS on existing roads still eligible, while the value of DS intersections are not eligible. Basic steps of traffic jams problem solving,namely the optimization of intersections with signal timing, intersection geometry settings and traffic management. After these steps are considered not provide significant changes in the value of DS, the last step is planning the construction of northern outer ringroad, or toll road.With the construction of new roads, intersection capacity will be increased with increasing growth rate LHR Semarang city in the years to come.
