Redyanto Noor, M.Hum. Pembimbing II. Zaki Ainul Fadli, S.S, M.Hum The purpose of this study is analyze the psychology of the main character in the short story izu no odoriko. The data used in this study is the short story izu no odoriko, published by Kawabata Yasunari in 1926. Theory used in this research is the theory of structuralism and psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud. the main character of izu no odoriko is Kaoru, and subordinate character are Eikichi, Chiyoko, Yuriko, and a woman aged forty years. The flow in this short story is a single path in the form of grooves are not straight. events recounted are not sequentially, sometimes flashbacks. Background used in the short story izu no odoriko is Amagi, Yugano, and Shimoda Themes in this short story is sadness. There are so many sad story along this short story. Mandate in the short story is provides another viewpoint of Izu dancer’s life. Another message about perseverance in the face of the trials of life but ends happily. Based on the analysis of psycho-analysis, can be disclosed that the inner conflict that occurs in the main character triggered a sense of love with izu dancer named Kaoru. But in the end the main character back to Tokyo with a heart of peace for having shared with the izu dancers.

Abstract

Hana is a short story that tells about a chief priest at Ike no O temple named Zenchi Naigu. Naigu had a long nose like a sausage, people around the temple were talking about Naigu’s nose everyday, he depressed because of that situation. Naigu tried to find a way to shorten his nose. He found the way from a Chinese physicians, a person that he knew in Kyouto. In short, Naigu’s nose can be shorten like normal people in general, but people around the temple even laugh at him because of his nose. Finally, Naigu regreted his New nose and in his remorse, Naigu’s nose suddenly return to the normal length. Since then, Naigu felt relieve and comfortable with the shape of his long nose.The purpose of this study is to find out what and how themes, characters and characterizations, plot, and setting in ‘Hana’ short story. Based on the analysis above the writer tried to understand the moral of the story from the Hana short story to be used as a lesson for the reader after reading this short story. Abstract

In Japanese language, to express feelings, ideas, and opinions, can use kanyouku. Kanyouku is formed by two or more word elements, which harmoniously merge into a specific meaning. Kanyouku cannot be interpreted as lexical or grammatical, but it can only be explained by idiomatical meaning. This study aims to classify the meaning of kanyouku me and kuchi based on the construction pattern of kanyouku me and kuchi, seek the extension meaning of kanyouku me and kuchi, and analyze the classification of Idiomatical meaning of kanyouku me and kuchi. The method used in this thesis is descriptive analysis and divided into three phases, namely data collection, data analysis, and final presentation of data analysis in conclusions. The books used in this thesis are Reikai Kanyouku Jiten and Idiom Bahasa Jepang Memakai Nama-nama Bagian Tubuh. Kanyouku which is studied in this thesis amounted to twenty eight pieces, consisting of thirteen pieces of doushi kanyouku, eight pieces of keiyoudoushi kanyouku, and seven pieces of meishi kanyouku. Nevertheless, It can be concluded that there are five pieces of kanyouku showing feelings or emotions, ten pieces of kanyouku associated with the body, character, and attitude, six kanyouku that shows action, activity, or action, six pieces of kanyouku indicate a state, degree, or grade level, and a piece of kanyouku showing the life, culture, and the local community. From the research, it can be said that twenty eight kanyouku has studied using the metaphorical, metonym, and synekdoche extension of meaning. Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University. Pembimbing I. Yudiono KS, SU. Pembimbing II. Fajria Noviana, SS, M.Hum. Madogiwano Totto-Chan is a novel which tells about the author’s experience, Tetsukou Kuroyanagi when she studied in Tomoe Gakuen. When she was young, her nick name was Totto-chan. Her teachers thought that Totto-chan was a naughty girl. In fact, she was a cheerful girl, but had great curiosity. She was kicked out of her school because she used to make noise at her class. Her mother then enrolled Totto-chan to Tomoe Gakuen. In that school, all students studied in a carriage. In Tomoe, the students were free to choose the sequence of lessons that they liked. Because this school was unique, Totto-chan felt at home. Day by day, Totto-chan felt happy and experienced unexpected things. The school story ended when Tomoe Gakuen was burned down by the bomb in World War II. This study aims to find out the generic structure of the novel, including the theme, the characters and characterization, the plot, the settings, and the central narrative. It also aims to seek the educative values (personality and social values) in Madogiwa no Totto-Chan. Abstract

This Thesis research about changes the sound of the rendaku that occurs in the merger word namely reduplication and composition of japanese. Rendaku is the phenomenon in morfofonemik regulating the change of sounds that occur from voiceless consonants to became voiced consonants. Change the sound of this is not merely a change in which every single consonant voiceless to be voiced consonants, but change the sound by adding dakuten or a modifier of the sound (‘’) on the phoneme first of second components in the merging of the word. The aim of this research is described how can rendaku could happen and how rendaku can ' t happen. This research uses the technique collecting data such as jitsurei and sakurei. Data collected are verbal results reduplication and also words results composition which experienced rendaku and who also failed to undergo rendaku. Based on the conclusions this research result there some things can be inferred. On reduplication, change the sound can occur only if the word is wago and in one component of the word consisting of two mora. While in composition, if composition of kango Word, the first component influential against an onset of rendaku. Where components have the influence of nasal sounds (nasal). Abstract

Yabu no Naka is a short story that tells about seven different testimonies and confessions about a murder of a samurai, Takehiro Kanazawa. This story started with four supporting testimonies of a woodcutter, a Buddhist monk, a police officer, and an old woman. Then followed by major testimonies from the victim and the perpetrator, they are a criminal named Tajomaru, Masago recognition (the wife of a husband who was killed), and the spirits of Takehiro (a samurai) who spoke through an intermediary of a shaman. In analyzing Yabu no Naka, the writer used structural approach, because this short story discussed the elements that build from within. The purpose of this study is to determine the structure of the story, such as the characters and characterization, plot, setting and background, theme, and message of the story in Yabu no Naka. Furthermore, based on the analysis above the writer tried to determine how the relationship between intrinsic elements in the Yabu no Nakashort story so that it creates a unified story. In this thesis the author researching on Danseigo and Joseigo in Chibimarukochan comics. Where Japan nowadays can be found through comics, anime, as well as magazines, where they use the language of Japan in the form of non-formal, used the male and female speakers of Japan therefore pleh. alas an author choosing this theme is because the author wanted to know how the use of language and mark men and women's language of Japan. In this study the author uses sumberdata from the original comics Japan Chibimarukochan 1 and 2 series. Where there are many languages in addition to the men and women‟s mark, as well as the language is easy to understand. Research on metede the author collects data from a variety of sources: primary sources from the comic Chibimarukochan 1 and 2 series . Secondary sources of documents, books, magazines, the internet etc. The use of the language of the men and women of Japan a non formal at commonly used to soften remarks or feminine showing in women. Santoso, Teguh. Penggunaan Tingkatan Bahasa dalam Bahasa Jepang dan Undak-usuk Bahasa Jawa ( Kajian Analisis Kontrastif). Thesis. Japanese Literature Departement. Faculty of Humanity. Diponegoro University. The First Advisor: Drs. Suharyo, M. Hum, The Second Advisor: Lina Rosliana, S. S, M. Hum. In Japanese speech levels a polite form is known as Keego which consists of Sonkeigo, Kenjoogo and Teineigo. In Javanese, such a form is called Undak-usuk. It consists of Ngoko (devided into Ngoko Lugu, Antya Basa, and Basa Antya), Madya (devided into Madya Ngoko, Madyantara, and Madya Krama), and Krama (devided into Mudha Krama, Kramantara, and Wreda Krama). Based on the results of contrastive analysis used in this paper, it was found out that there are similiarities as well as differences between Keigo and Undak-usuk. Both of them have honorific forms as well as a humble forms. The difference is that in Japanese there are two concepts known as Uchi and Soto. This means that Japanese pay attention to who a speaker is talking to and who is being discussed. Another difference is that Ngoko can not be contrasted with Keigo. Krama Inggil and Krama Andhap do not belong to speech levels. Both are lexicons giving varieties to the existing speech levels, whereas Sonkeigo and Kenjoogo are parts of Keigo. Abstract

The particle in hinshi bunrui is called joshi. Joshi is fuzokugo that can not stand lonely, but if we put other word joshi has function as conjuntion, limitation, show the ekspression and show the word relation each other. The reason why the writer do the analysis of the particle is many particle that used in Japanese Language Gramatical instead, the function of de particle is variously. The purpose of this research is to know what and how to use de particle in Japanese Language Sentence and to find out the word translation that fit in Indonesian Language. The method that used is Padan method and devided in to three steps, they are : collecting the data, data analysis, and the last is serving the result of analysis that called conclusions. The resource of data that used is from many book, such as : Gramatika Bahasa Jepang Modern, Nihongo no Joshi, Bunkei Ziten, Nihongo no bunpo, and Gaikokujin no Tame no Joshi-Sono Oshiekata to Oboekata. De particle has six functions, they are : (1) the function of basho (to show the place to do activity), (2) the function of gentei (to show the limitation), (3) the function of zairyou (to show the main material), (4) the function of shudan (to show the tool), (5) the function of gen'in (to show the reason/ causion), and (6) the function of shutai wo arawasu hataraki (to show the main/ subject of sentence). From the result of research can made the conclusion that from the four functions just the function of shutai wo arawasu hataraki that has not translation that fit in Indonesian Language. Khodijah, Siti. “Unsur Intrinsik dan Ekstrinsik Cerpen Mai Barentain De- (My Valentine Day) Karya Atoda Takashi”. Thesis. Department of Japanese Studies Faculty of Humanities. Diponegoro University. The first advisor Drs. Yudiono KS, SU. The second advisor Yuliani Rahmah, S.Pd, M.Hum. My Valentine Day is a pop teen short story by Atoda Takashi. This short story tell us about Valentine day but with a mystery content, that’s the unique point of My Valentine Day. This story started when valentine day’s night, Kyoko main character a senior high school student bought a medicine for her mother. After that, Kyoko met an old women who sell a valentine’, because that old women look so poor, Kyoko bought that chocolate. The old women said that if Kyoko gave the chocolate for someone she love, that man will love her back. Kyoko didn’t believe it because Kyoko didn’t have a boyfriend. Finally, Kyoko sent that chocolate to a popular actor named K, at the night, Kyoko dreamed about K, in her dream, Kyoko and K was sit together at the beautiful garden. Many years later, Kyoko merried with a man, but K still single. Everytime he got a question about his single status, he always said that he looked a girl who sat down at the garden with him in his dream. The purpose of this study was to analyze the building blocks of the short story of “ My Valentine Day”. The analyzed elements were the theme, plot, character, setting, point of view, the message and cultural background.
