Abstract

The Entrance Surface Exposure (ESE) and quality of radiograph phantom as part of a Quality Control (QC) were analyzed on mammography machine Hologic M-Series. This research aims to detemine ESE values on mammography machine and determining number of fibers, speck groups and masses on radiograf phantom as part of a Quality Control (QC).The ESE was measured by Multi Purpose Detector (MPD) over the range of kV from 20–27 kV kV for current time 90 mAs, 95 mAs, 100 mAs, and phantom radiograph was tested by CIRS model 015 phantom was exposed at 23 kV for current time 90 mAs, 95 mAs, 100 mAs. The ESE values by direct measurement ranged from 3,22 mGy to 10,86 mGy and The ESE values by calculation of backscatter factor ranged from 3,59 mGy to 11,73 mGy and phantom radiograph testing qualitatively the number of fibers, speck groups, and mass in over the range of tolerances are 4 for fibers, 3 for speck groups, and 3 for the masses. This results shown that the mammography machine is still good condition and proper to be used for clinical examination moreover the result of phantom radiograph can be read properly and can diagnose symptoms of abnormalities in breast tissue properly. Keywords: Entrance Surface Exposure (ESE), phantom radiograph, quality control, mammography machine, Multi Purpose Detector (MPD).

Abstract

The research has been done by using data of electromagnetic parameter base on the result of magnetotelluric observation which  located in geophysics observation Pelabuhan Ratu. Research of earthquake precursor in order to find out the characteristic of electromagnetic signal by applying spectral analysis ratio method on Ultra Low Frequency (ULF).             The data is electromagnetic secondary data from observation result of magnetotelluric and data of Dst index year 2011.  The data magnetotelluric is consist of electric component and magneict component. The filtering data is executed by using wavelet method. Result of  filtering  will be shown as graph ratio of magnetic field and electric field spectral intensity in a time domain.            According to the analysis by using spectral density analysis can be found out that the characteristic of ULF signal on frequency 0.01 Hz before earthquake show that there is an increase of value for magnetic polarization and occurred decrease of EM wave impedance value. From the analysis result show an appearance of magnetic polarization anomaly which expected as earthquake precursor and can be seen around 10 – 19 days before the occurrence of earthquake while for the value of EM wave impedance can be seen around 23 – 40 days before earthquake. Keywords : Precursor, Ultra-Low-Frequency, Spectral Density Ratio Analysis, Pelabuhan Ratu

Abstract

For this research, an audiometer based on microcontroller with computer interface as a measuring instrument for the threshold of audible range has been designed. This device has some features, like graphic display, audio intensity display, and computer frequency. This audiometer intended for the research consists of frequency generator, audio generator, and manual and automatic amplifying switch. The microcontroller is the main component which has the ability to be frequency generator using Fast PWM at timer 1 within 16bit resolution and crystal value 16MHz so that the frequencies at 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz, and 8000 Hz can be generated precisely and steadily. The maximum audio intensity as the result of this research using the device was 46,2 dB. The result of the frequency test on the device designed for this research has the linear correlation coefficient R=1, meanwhile the audio intensity measured at the standardized device has the linear correlation coefficient R=0,997Keywords: microcontroller, sound level meter, multi-tester, frequency, audio intensity
