Abstract

Dividend policy in the company is a crucial matter because it can affect the valueof the company in the future. To support this, increasing the value of the company is one ofthe main goals of the company. A higher dividend payout will relatively increase the share price, which means an increase in the value of the company. The complexity of thecompany's activities has increased the conflict of interest between stakeholders and company management. The company makes a clear distinction between ownership, operations and management. This division allows management to prioritize the interests of the company or its owners. These phenomena and gaps are the basis for conducting this research. This research has the aim of explaining and knowing the determination of dividend policy in mining companies in Indonesia, either in the form of significance or in the formof influence. Data retrieval from this study involved 46 companies with a total of 230 data which were analyzed using the classical assumption test and processed with the SPSS version 21 program. Based on this research, it was found that profitability has a positive and significant effect on dividend policy. In addition, liquidity has a negative and significant effect on dividend policy. In this study, it was also found that the company's growth had a negative and significant effect on dividend policy. Then lastly, company size which is a moderating variable has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable of dividend policy

Abstract

The problem in this research is that there is a drastic decrease in sales of Bata Shoes from 2015 to 2020, which indicates the possibility of a decrease in purchase intention from shoe consumers for Bata Shoes products in Indonesia. This problem is also relevant to the Bata brand being ranked 1 in the Top Brand Index and being the market leader in the last 5 years, but always experiencing a decrease in the percentage of the Top Brand Index. In 2017, Bata Shoes was ranked first with a Top Brand Index percentage of 19.3%. In the following years, the percentage of the Top Brand Index of Bata shoes continued to decline to 12.5% in 2020. Based on gap research, it was also found that there was an alleged influence of brand awareness and perceived quality on brand image and brand image on consumer purchase intention in Bata Shoes. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand awareness and perceived quality on brand image and purchase intention, also brand image on consumer purchase intention in Bata Shoes. The population used in this study were shoe consumers in Indonesia. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The samples taken were 246 research respondents. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis method uses structural equation modeling. The results of this study are brand awareness and perceived quality have a positive effect on brand image and brand image has a positive effect on consumer purchase intention in Bata Shoes. In addition, brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on consumer purchasing interest while quality perception does not have a significant effect on consumer purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of financial distress on firm value in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the period from 2016 to 2020. In this study, two financial distress prediction models are used, namely the Altman Z-score prediction model. and the Zmijewski X-score prediction model to be used as a predictor variable on firm value which is reflected in the price book value. Signal theory and agency theory serve as the basis for the conceptual model. This research was conducted using a purposive sampling method and resulted in 41 companies as a sample of 80 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2016-2020 period, so that 205 observational data were obtained. In this study, to test the effect of the two predictive models of financial distress on firm value, it was tested through multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that financial distress, both as measured by the Altman Z-score prediction model and the Zmijewski X-score prediction model, has a significant effect on firm value as reflected by the price book value (PBV). Even though the Zmijewski prediction model has a higher level of accuracy in predicting financial distress and its effect on firm value than the Altman Z-score prediction model.

Abstract

Globalization that we do not realize brings risks to every multinational company that trades acrosscountries. The biggest risk that is often faced by companies conducting cross-border business transactions is the risk of changes in foreign exchange exposure. The impact of unexpected changes in foreign exchange exposure can provide large losses for the company. An alternative strategy to minimize foreign exchange risk can be done by hedging. This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, firm size, growth opportunity, financial distress, and managerial ownership on hedging decision making with leverage as a moderating variable.The population in this research are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2014-2018 period. The sample in this research amounted to 57 companies selected using the purposive sampling technique. Sample data are collected from IDX and the company’s annual report. Logistic regression analysis was used in this research model because the type of data is binary data. By logistic regression analysis, it can be seen how the independent variables affect the probability of the company to hedge.The results of this research provide empirical evidence that variable liquidity (CR), firm size (SIZE), growth opportunity (MBVE), financial distress (GScore), and Managerial Ownership (MO) have no effect on hedging decision making. The results also showed that the Leverage as a moderating variable had no effect on the relationship between liquidity on hedging decisions and also had no effect between growth opportunity on hedging decisions but influenced the relationship between financial distress on hedging decisions. From the test result of logistic regression showed that the variable of liquidity, firm size, growth opportunity, financial distress, and managerial ownership in explaining the probability of using derivative hedging was 15% and the rest is explained by other variables outside the model.Group.

Abstract

The global men's personal care market will measure USD 30.8 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.1% from 2022 to 2030. Responding to today's men's skin and facial care needs, PT Paragon Technology and Innovation continues to innovate by launching its newest product, Kahf. A men's personal care brand with new advancements that are relevant to today's needs introduces a range of skin and body care products that are halal, premium, and natural. In addition to this phenomenon, based on the existing literature, shows that there is a research gap where previous research on social influence marketing only discussed external social influencers and rarely discussed internal social influencers. So based on the phenomena and gaps in this research, this is the basis for this research. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of internal social influencers and external social influencers in influencing purchase intention by using brand awareness as an intermediary. The next problem in this research is how to use the variables in the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) to increase buyer interest. The sample used in this study amounted to 174 residents domiciled in Semarang City with an age range of 15-34 years who have watched/seen marketing campaigns from the Kahf brand, both in the form of online and offline campaigns. This research method uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with AMOS as a data processing tool. Based on the results of the study, it was found that internal social influencers, external social influencers, and brand awareness had a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest. Therefore, all hypotheses in this study were accepted. This study also proves that brand awareness is able to mediate the relationship between internal and external social influencers on buying interest. So it is hoped that this research can be useful in developing the marketing strategy of PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation. and can be a valuable literature for the benefit of academics.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the main factors that influence capital structure policy proxied by debt ratio (DR) especially in manufacturing and energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2015-2019. The population of this research consists of manufacturing and energy companies listed on IDX in year 2015-2019. This research used secondary data and purposive sampling method to determine the study sample. The total samples in this study are 16 companies. Multiple Regression is used as the analysis technique in this research. The study documents the negative significant effect of profitability, liquidity, and non-debt tax shield on capital structure policy. Conversely, tangibility and cash flow volatility have the positive significant effect on capital structure policy. Moreover, growth has no significant effect on capital structure policy. As a control variables, firm size and company age have a good function in controlling the effect of independent variables on dependent variable.

Abstract

Previous research on profitability specifically discussing return on equity, especially in pharmaceutical subindustry health company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange after the COVID-19 pandemic has not been widely studies by previous researchers. The object of this research is pharmaceutical subindustry health company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange covering the periode 2016-2020. The sample used in this study amounted to 9 company. Multivariate linier regression were used to analyze the data with SPSS for windows version 23. This research based on 5 independent variable such as current ratio, debt equity ratio, total asset turnover ratio, total sales, net working capital and one dependent variable are profitability (return on equity). This result show each of liquidity (current ratio), company efficiency (total asset turnover ratio), firm size (total sales), working capital (net working capital) have positive significant with return on equity. Further leverage (debt equity ratio) show a positive but not significant with return on equity. Companies are expected to give more attention to the current ratio, total asset turnover ratio, total sales, net working capital because have significant positive effect on profitability. Meanwhile, for shareholders are expected to be a referce in making investment decision especially investing in the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia. Further for the next research it is expect too add another variable outside of this study because the result of Adjusted R Square only 49,8% and the research period is longer so that the result are more representative of the profitability of pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The smartphone enlargement in Indonesia is growing too fast nowadays, accompanied by the changes in lifestyle and consumer behavior which are starting to switch from cellphones to smartphones. Various smartphone brands compete to gain market share supported by qualified product quality and affordable prices. Brands requires the right marketing strategy, in order to attract the purchasing decision of the people. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the purchasing decision of ASUS smartphones. The populations used in this research are users who are currently or have used the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M2) ZB631KL smartphone. The number of samples used is 110 respondents. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling by using AMOS 23.0 analysis tool. The results showed that product quality, price and brand image have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, and product quality, price, brand image and purchase intention have a positive and significant effect on pruchase decision.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of digital pawnshop applications and service quality on customer loyalty with consumer satisfaction as an intervening variable (study at PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Semarang Regional Office. The population in this study were all customers of PT. Pegadaian (Persero) Regional Office. Semarang who have downloaded the Digital Pegadaian Application are 282,526 people, while the sample in this study was 125 customers who were selected using the accidental random sampling technique with the Slovin formula.The analysis model used in this study was a multiple linear regression analysis model and the analysis technique used a significance test. partial test (t test) and path analysis test to test the intervening variables with the SPSS 25.00 program. The results of the hypothesis verification and discussion show that the use of digital pawnshop applications and service quality have a positive and significant effect on dap Customer Satisfaction. The use of digital pawnshop applications and service quality, and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The role of satisfaction as an intervening variable is relatively weak in contributing to the influence of the use of digital pawnshop applications and service quality on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic that occur in Indonesia forces Higher Education Institution to implement Work From Home (WFH) for every lecturers. This study aims to examine the influence of organizational justice, work satisfaction, and organizational commitment of the lecturers that works for Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Semarang while working from home on their organizational citizenship behavior intention during WFH. The population in this study are lecturers of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro and sample of this study is Assistant Professor of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. Sample that was used in this study are 106 lecturers of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. The result of this research shows that organizational justice, work satisfaction, and organizational commitment while working from home have positive and significant influence to OCB intention during WFH
