Abstract

High population growth and the high mobility of the people and coupled with high car ownership aspirations cause increased competition in the automotive industry. Automotive industry competition increased, causing the Honda Freed products less competitive with other products in the class MPV cars. This study aimed to examine the effect of brand image variables, perceived quality, and perceived risk on purchasing decisions Honda Freed in Semarang through the perception of value as intervening.            The total sample of 100 respondent owners and users of the Honda Freed is taken with a convenience / accidental sampling technique. Method of data analysts using path analysis method, the analysis includes: validity, reliability, classic assumption test, linear regression test, t test, F test, and Sobel test coefficient of determination.            The results of path analysis showed that the two independent variables, namely the brand image (0,382) and perceived quality (0,267) had a positive and significant relationship to the intervening variable that is the perception of value. There is one independent variable that has a negative relationship to the intervening variable is the perception of risk (-0,352). Intervening variables such as perceived value has a positive correlation (0,475) and parallel to the dependent variable

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of managerial ownership structure, growth opportunity, and cash flow on method of payment in Acquisition by bidder.  Sample of this study used bidding companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2009-2014. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling method covering 44  companies as samples.        Hypothesis testing is using multinomial logistic regression models which the dependent variabel in categories. The category from method of payment consisted of cash financing, debt financing, and equity financing. The analysis method used in this study is Multicoloniarity Test, Overall Model Fit, Goodness of Fit Test, Coefficient of Determination Pseudo R-Square and multinomial logistic regression Analysis.Based on the results using multinomial logistic regression analysis, managerial ownership structure and cash flow has negative effect and no significant on equity financing. Growth opportunity that measured with Tobin’sQ has positif effect on equity financing.

Abstract

This study was based on Financial Services Authority needs’ of high productivity as a new-born body. Financial Services Authority (OJK) as a financial services monitoring body in Indonesia is important to note as a support to OJK,s existence. This study aimed to examine the effect of training, work discipline, and leadership to employees’ productivity in OJK Regional 3 Surabaya. This study used purposive sampling method with a sample of 93 people from a population of employees in OJK Regional 3 Surabaya. The analytical method used is multiple linear regressions. The results of the study found that the following regression equation: Y = 0.499 X1 + 0.426 X2  + 0.355 X3. Based on statistical data analysis, the indicators in this study were valid and reliable. In the classical assumption test, regression model was free from multicolonearity, no heteroscedasticity, and normal distribution. The greatest variable was training variable which equaled to 0.499, while the smallest variable is leadership which equaled to 0,355. The results of the study found that all independent variables were positive and had a significant effect on the dependent variable.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments have changed in dynamic environment. Replication of the quality products also can be done easily by competitors. Nokia the biggest smartphone developers, not even able to compete and continue to loss and eventually sold his company to Microsoft in 2014. This study aims to determine whether the product innovation is able to create the perceived of quality, and product positioning strategies have an impact on the purchase decision of Microsoft Lumia windows phone.This research was conducted by questionnaire survey. The sample used was a potential buyer at the counter smartphone as many as 130 people. The data processed using multiple regression analysis.The results showed that two independent variables directly influencing purchase decision variables. Variable product innovation has direct influencing to perceived quality variables and indirectly influencing purchase decisions. Consistent with the previous studies, perceived quality has a positive and significantly influence on the purchase decision variables and acts as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects arising from the celebrity endorser and sales promotions on brand advantage and its influence on purchase intention from Yamaha Mio motorcycles. The variables used in this study is celebrity endorser and sales promotion as an independent variable, then the brand advantage as an intervening variable and purchase intention as the dependent variable.The sample in this study were 200 respondents that came from residents in the city of Semarang, spread from the North to the South Semarang which recognize Yamaha motorcycles. The method used is accidental sampling by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. In this study developed a theoretical model to propose five hypotheses to be tested using analysis tools Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is operated through a program AMOS 20.0Based on the research of data processing SEM for full model has met the criteria of goodness of fit as follows, the value of chi-square = 86.719; probability = 0.099; RMSEA = 0.033; CMIN / DF = 1.221; GFI = 0.939; AGFI = 0.910; TLI = 0.988; CFI = 0.991. With the result that it can be said that this model is feasible to be used. The results showed that the purchase intention can be improved by increasing sales promotions affect the brand advantage as a determinant of success increase purchase intention.

Abstract

Financial performance has become one of the considerations about the condition of a bank. Many factors affect the financial performance of a bank. Therefore, this study examines the effect of Operating Expenses Operating Income (ROA), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), SIZE, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) of the Return On Asset ( ROA) in conventional commercial banks in Indonesia 2009-2013.The sample used in this study consists of 21 conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) 2009-2013. This study used the purposive sampling method. Data obtained from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and Annual Report. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis which is previously performed classical assumption, such as normality test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, and heteroskedastisitas test. Hypothesis testing by using the F test and t test.               The Results from this study indicates that BOPO , NPL , LDR and CAR significant negative effect on ROA . SIZE and NIM significant positive effect on ROA . The amount of determination degree test (Adjusted R Square ) is equal to 0.784 , that means the independent variable such as ROA, LDR , NPL , SIZE , CAR and NIM have the impact on ROA of 78.4 % . Meanwhile , the remaining 21.5 % is explained by other variables outside the model of this study .

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze on four 4 assessments: 1. Effect of the perception on employee safety behaviour, 2. Effect of demeanour on employee safety behaviour 3. Effect of knowledge on employee safety behaviour, 4. Effect of workplace on employee safety behaviour.This research has been done with techniques like taking random samples with considerations on the population that is quite huge, because it wasn’t possible for the researcher to cover the whole present population, so a representative was formed. Samples in this research are only a part of the whole employee PT. MuliaGlass Container.The result show that test F where the value of significance is 0,000, the coefficient of determination on satisfaction which is shown by r-square is 0,561 that means the customer satisfaction is 56,1% affected by variable of quality of service, price & promotion. Whereas, the rest of the 43,9% is affected because of other variables which were not checked thoroughly by researchers.the factors which not influence safety behaviour was knowledge employee. The result proved the factors which influence safety behaviour were perception, demenour, and workplace.

Abstract

Printing company not only promote  an good and right result, but also requires the management of human resources is appropriate. This research is intended to explain how internal communication, leadership and training development to employees performance production team on PT Temprina Media Grafika Jawa Pos Group Semarang.            The data in this study were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 40 employees with a sampling technique is census  at the PT Temprina Media Grafika Jawa Pos Group Semarang. The technique of  testing data used in this study include theinstrument test (reliability test, validity test), the classical assumption test (normality test, heteroscedasticity, linearity test), multiple linear regression analysis, T-Tests, F Test and Coefficient of Determination Test ( R2) with SPSS 20.0.            Result indicates that internal communication, and training variable are possitve and significant effect on employee performance,but leadership variable is possitive and not significant effect on employee performance.  The correlation of internal communication, leadership, and training can explain employee performance variation as much as 28.6%.

Abstract

The evelopment of the economy that becomes more global makes general banks to use foreign currencies in a transaction at a certain time or circumstances. Foreign currencies’ values are fluctuating that could lead a bank to exposure of the exchange rate risk. Currency swap contract is an alternative that can be used by the bank to do a hedge. This research aims to analyze how the foreign exchange liabilities, bank size, cost of financial distress, and net open position affecting the use of currency swap on general banks that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. After the literature review, data were collected by documentary study of financial reports and formed the pooled data. The pooled data then being analyzed using some methods like descriptive statistic analysis, the test of classical assumption, linear regression analysis, and the goodness of fit regression model. The result of this research shows that foreign exchange of liabilities, bank size, and net open position are significantly against the decision of using currency swap as a hedge significantly, while the cost of financial distress does not significantly against the decision of using currency swap as a hedge.

Abstract

The company has the capital resources, one of which employees. The existence of the employees is very important to the survival of a company. Therefore, a company's success is measured by the performance of employees. High employee performance makes the success of the company is also getting higher. Many steps can be done in improving the performance of employees. One of them is to do self-actualization and creating job satisfaction of employees. With the creation of self-actualization and job satisfaction, can increase Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees, which then affects their performance. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the influence of self-actualization and job satisfaction on employee performance with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable.This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to a sample of 70 permanent employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop IV Semarang using random sampling techniques, with the draw. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Mechanical testing data used this study include the path analysis and Sobel test to test the effect of mediation.The results showed that self-actualization positive and significant influence to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and employee performance, job satisfaction and significant positive effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and employee performance, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) positive and significant influence on employee performance. Additionally, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) capable mediating the relationship between self-actualization and job satisfaction on employee performance.
