This study is aimed at developing the model of organizational effectiveness in university through social capital and competitive advantage. The populations of this study are the head of study programs and the structural officials in some Universities in Semarang. In this case, We used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS 21.0 program as the analysis tool. The result of the study and model analysis showed that even though the social capital had significant positive influenced to the competitive advantage in the university, the improvement of social capital and competitive advantage at university could not improve the university organizational effectiveness. Then, between two factors which influenced the competitive advantage (internal social capital and external social capital), it is obtained that external social capital got the dominant influenced factor to competitive advantage. The managerial implication suggested the policies should focus on improving the quality of cooperative relationships with external parties in the university. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun model efektifitas organisasi pada perguruan tinggi melalui modal sosial dan keunggulan bersaing. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ketua program studi maupun pejabat struktural pada perguruan tinggi di Semarang. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) pada program AMOS 21.0.Hasil pengujian dan analisis model menunjukkan bahwa pada meskipun modal sosial memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keunggulan berasingn pada perguruan tinggi namun peningkatan modal sosial dan keunggulan kompetitif pada perguruan tinggi belum mampu meningkatkan efektifitas organidsasi perguruan tinggi tersebut. Selanjutnya diantara kedua faktor yang mempengaruhi keunggulan bersaing (internal social capitaldan external social capital), didapatkan bahwa external social capital merupakan faktor yang paling dominan pengaruhnya terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Implikasi manajerial yang dapat disarankan oleh penelitian ini adalah kebijakan yang menitikberatkan pada peningkatan kulitas hubungan kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal pada perguruan tinggi.JEL Classification: L, L2, L20

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan prestasi belajar mahasiswa di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Diponegoro dan menganalisis pengaruh kepribadian dosen terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dari 100 mahasiswa program Akuntansi, Manajemen, dan Ilmu Ekonomi Studi PembangunanÃÂ yang memiliki jangka waktu minimal lima semester studi. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan dengan menggunakan kuesioner diberikan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Jenis sampling yang digunakan adalah kuota sampling, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda dan nilai jangka indeks menggunakan SPSS 16. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semua jenis kepribadian empat (optimis, mudah tersinggung, melankolis dan apatis) memiliki dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar. Dengan pengaruh 43,3% sedangkan 56,7% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.This study aimed to determine factor causing degradation of achievement learn student in Faculty of Economics and Business University Diponegoro and analyse influence personality of lecturer to achievement learn student. Research data collected from 100 students in the program of Accounting, Management, and IESP (Economics of Development Studies) that has minimal period of five semesters of study. The questions using a questionnaire administered through purposive sampling technique. The type of sampling that used was quota sampling, then analyzed using multiple regression and the value of the index run with SPSS 16. The analysis showed that all four personality types (sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic) has a positive and significant impact on learning achievement. With the influence of 43.3% while 56.7% are influenced by other variables

Various models of relationship marketing were developed with the aim to create sustainable performance. Old model of marketing is a conventional marketing that only rely on face to face marketing. However, in line with the advances in market information technology, customers should be pampered and served well. E-commerce and E-business is the application of busi-ness operations conducted through the Internet so that it can expand product marketing both in national and international markets. The purpose of this study is to develop and test models of relationship marketing, that is, the relationship among determinants of marketing performance increase. Sample in this study is 41 Batik SME owners in Semarang City. The analysis used in this study is the SEM-PLS. Data processing in this study uses the Smart PLS. The results of this study indicate that: (1) social capital has no influence on market capabilities; (2) relation-ship quality has influence on market capabilities; (3) entrepreneurial orientation has influence on social capital; (4) market capabilities has influence on marketing performance; (5) e-com-merce has influence on marketing performance, meaning that a better e-commerce or online marketing will be able to improve the marketing performance of SMEs.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan kepemimpinan pelayan terhadap kepuasan kerja dalam mempengaruhi kinerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di STIE di Kota Semarang, responden yang digunakan sebanyak 130 dosen yang ada di STIE AKA, STIE SEMARANG dan STIE TOTALWIN. Dalam pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan SEM. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini kecerdasan emosional tidak mampu memberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja. Kecerdasan emosional tidak berpengaruh kepada kepuasan kerja. Kepemimpinan pelayan berpengaruh positif kepada kinerja. Kepemimpinan pelayan berpengaruh kepada kepuasan kerja serta kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja. Kata Kunci : Kecerdasan Emosional, Kepemimpinan Layanan, Kepuasan Kerja, Kinerja

The purpose of this research is to know how the application of Human Resources Management in Hotel Grasia Semarang, whether it is appropriate with Islamic values by looking the practical management of Hotel Grasia.This research use qualitative method where is the data collection conducted by interview and deeply observation for a certain period to get more information about the application of Human Resources Management based on Islamic values. The object of this research is a Hotel which is proceeded in syariah system, that is Hotel Grasia Semarang. Then the Informant in this research are the employees of this Hotel who have worked for more than 5 years.The result shot the outline of Islamic values which are still maintained and applicated practically in Human Resources Management in Hotel Grasia Semarang. The Islamic values are showed by several criterias, test or material in some management practices. The spiritual side is also looked from the employees participation in several religious events that showed the religious side of the person.Â

Penelitian mengenai keadilan organisasional yang meliputi keadilan prosedural dan keadilan distributit di Indonesia dapat dikatakan masih minim. Maka penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung dari keadilan prosedural dan keadi/an distributif terhadap komitmen atektif, dimana untuk pengaruh tidak langsung dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja. Walaupun peneliti-peneliti sebelumnya telah menjelaskan mengenai hubungan keadilan organisasional terhadap komitmen organisasional, akan tetapi sebagian besar dari mereka tidak menjelaskan secara spesitikjenis komitmen organisasional yang manakah yang sebenarnya mereka teliti. Untuk itulah perlu adanya penggunaan konstruk yang multidimensional untuk dapat memahami fenomena komitmen organisasional dengan lebih baik. Karenanya penelitian ini menggunakan salah satujenis dari komitmen organisasionalyaitu komitmen afektif.Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda analisis jalur (path analysis), dengan data sebanyak 86 responden yang berasal dari para karyawan salah satu perusahaan swasta asing di Indonesia yang telah bekerja minimal selama satu tahun pada perusahaan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan analisis jalur melalui dua tahapan regresi, penelitian ini menghasilkan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh total terbesar terhadap komitmen atektif, yaitu keadilan distributif dengan nilai sebesar 0. 651 yang dihitung melalui penjumlahan standardized coefficient beta dari keadilan distributif ke komitmen atektif secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja. Selain itu, koetisien determinasi total menunjukkan bahwa 84. 6% perubahan variabel komitmen atektifmampu dijelaskan oleh variabel keadilan prosedural, keadilan distributif, dan kepuasan kerja sesuai model. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 15. 4% dijelaskan oleh variabel-variabel lain diluar model penelitian ini.Hasil yang didapat secara parsial dari masing-masing jalur yaitu keadilan prosedural dan keadilan distributif memiliki pengaruh positit dan signitikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, yang kemudian kepuasan kerja mempengaruhi komitmen afektif secara positif dan signifikan. lni berarti baik keadilan prosedural maupun keadilan distributif memilikipengaruh tidak langsung terhadap komitmen afektifmelalui kepuasan kerja. Untuk pengaruh langsung hanya keadilan distributifyang mempengaruhi komitmen afektif secara positif dan signifikan, sedangkan keadilan prosedural hanya memberipengaruh positifke komitmen afektit akan tetapi tidak signitikan.

This qualitative phenomenological study to examine and compare the style and character of Gen Y leadership with the style and character of Gen X leadership in PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara Area Pengatur Distribusi Jawa Tengah & Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The study was conducted through in-depth interviews and direct observation of selected respondents. The questions are (i) Gen X (old) leadership in preparing the cadre to deal with change, (ii) Gen Y's leadership in responding to the company's target challenge in the face of change.The respondents of this study were the group of Gen Y leaders and the group of Gen X leaders at PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY. The method used is qualitative phenomenology. It is used because the purpose of this study to reveal the meaning of concept or phenomenon of experience based on the awareness that occurs in some individuals in PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY.The results showed that Gen Y Leader at PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY provides an understanding of organizational achievement targets to staff or subordinates in typical millennial youth. In addition to coaching, mentoring and counseling (CMC) and streamlining the WhatsApp Group (WA), they also often hang out together. The leadership cadre preparation process continues unabated, through an active WA Group 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 30 days in a month. While the leaders of Gen X only use the CMC, code of conduct (CoC), and the person in charge (PIC) for the pattern of regeneration. The results also show that in addition to being very open to differences, Gen Y's leaders are also very tolerant of conflict in working relationships.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of Information Technology and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) of the Company's Performance with Sustainable Competitive Advantage as an intervening variable. Object of this research is the workshops authorized Toyota network in Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia.This research is an empirical study with a sample of the entire population in the data collection. Data obtained by conducting a survey of 30 Chief and Assistant Chief Workshop an authorized Toyota network in Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data analysis was done using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Model (SEM). The type of SEM in this study is the variance based SEM or Partial Least Square (PLS) SEM using an application program SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) 2.0 M3.Based on the calculation result R2 is known that variable of Information Technology, Customer Relationship Management, and Sustainable Competitive Advantage Companies able to explain the variable performance of 57.87%, while 42.13% is explained by factors outside the model. Thus, indicating that the resulting model is good and has a level of closeness that a strong correlation (substantial).
