Abstract

Food business is one of the favorite business in Semarang, especially café. It’s proven with the rising of the growth number by 2010 to 2016 in Semarang area. One of the favorite café is Blackbone Coffee, located in Banyumanik. The tight competition in this business become one of the factor of decreasing selling in Blackbone Coffee. Therefore creative ideas are needed to hold the business on.The  goal  of  this  study  is  to  explain  the  influence  of  the  café’s  atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product’s variety to the purchase decision, where the brand image is used as the intervening variable between the café’s atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product’s variety of the purchase decision in the Blackbone café. Those factors have the biggest impact in the purchase decision by the customers. Sample were collected from 100 respondents. Respondents' answers were analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS program.The result show that café’s atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product variety has positive and significant impact on brand image variable. 0,383 for café atmosphere, 0,161 for promotion appeal, and 0,459 for product variety. Brand image as the intervening variable has positive and significant impact on purchase decision variable with 0,443.

Abstract

This research purposes to finding the effect of physical work environment and non-physical work environment to employee performance through job satisfaction as intervening variabel (study on employees of unit weaving PT. Primatexco Indonesia).Data collected through distribution of questionnaires to 70 employees of unit weaving PT. Primatexco Indonesia with non random sampling. The techniques of data testing in this research includes validity test, reliability test, the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, and the Sobel test to examine the mediation effect with software SPSS version 16 for Windows.The results of this research indicates that  physical work environment has positive and significant influence on the job satisfaction, non-physical work environment has positif and significant influence on job satisfaction, physical work environment has positive and significant influence on the employee performance, non-physical work environment has positive influence but not significant on the employee performance,  job satisfaction has positif influence but not significant on the employee performance, and job satisfaction hasn’t mediation effect on physic work environment and non-physic work environment to employee performance.

Abstract

Based on data from BPS in 2017, the company's debt in the hotel, restaurant and tourism sector has the highest debt rate compared to other sectors. This attracts writers to find out whether the high debt to tourism companies has a significant effect on the profitability of the company.The main objective this study is to examine the effect of debt to assets ratio (DAR), debt to equity ratio (DER), degree of financial leverage (DFL), long debt to equity ratio (LDER), and time interest earned ratio (TIER) on return on equity (ROE)  simultaneously  and  partially  in  torism  companies.  Multiple  linier  regression analysis is used as a data analysis tool with return on equity (ROE) as the dependent variable.This study uses secondary data derived from the financial statements of tourism companies listed on IDX period 2011-2015. Purposive sampling is used as a sampling method and obtained 10 companies from 23 companies listed on IDX.The result of this research shows that DAR, DER, DFL, LDER, and TIER have simultaneous and significantly influence toward ROE. Partially, DAR has positive and significant effect to ROE, while DER has negative and not significant effect to ROE. The DFL variable has a positive and significant effect on ROE, while LDER has a negative and significant effect on ROE. The TIER variable has a negative and insignificant effect on ROE at the 5% significance level.

Abstract

In obtaining information about a product, the consumer is no longer limited to the information from the manufacturer. The Information of the product can be obtained from other consumers personally as known as word of mouth. Along with the development of internet technology, word of mouth communication is not only done in a personal but it can be done with a broader range called electronic word of mouth. The concept of electronic word of mouth in the form of an opinion regarding a product or company that expressed by actual consumer via social media that can be either positive or negative reviews, so it can affect the prospective consumers glance towards the brand image and its impact on purchase intention of product. This study aims to determine the effect of electronic word of mouth on the brand image and purchase intention, especially wardah cosmetics products that are currently reviewed by social media.This research used purposive sampling technique which is included in non-probability sampling method, by spreading questionnaires to 100 respondents of young women in Semarang who aware about electronic word of mouth  with age of 15-29 years. Collected data were analyzed with several tests: validity, reliability, normality, heteroskedasidity, statistical t test, statistical f test, coefficient of determination test, multiple regression analysis, and sobel test using IBM SPSS 23 for windows software application.The results indicated that electronic word of mouth has significant influence on brand image and purchase intention. While the brand image as an intervening variable has  significant influence on purchase intention as a partial mediation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of ease of use site, quality information, purchasing trust, and the impression of price against visitor’s shopping intention on OLX.co.id.The sampling method used on this research is probability sampling with random sampling technique. Samples were collected from 258 respondents who are students of Diponegoro University Semarang who have visited the site OLX.co.id. Analysis method used here is multiple regression analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, t-test, f-test, determination testThe result showed that the ease of use of the site, quality informartion, purchasing trust, and the impression of price has positive influence towards the shopping intention.

Abstract

Culture in a country has a close relationship to leadership in the country. The man is a leader for himself. Every human being has the desired leadership criteria. This research will discuss what kind of lead character the employee wants.The purpose of this research is to investigate what kind of leadership style desired by employees at Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah. The method used is a qualitative method with phenomenology study approach, in which data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation in a certain period. Methods are chosen on the grounds that research can be done in a more focused and in-depth manner.The results of this research indicates that the leadership desired by the employees is the leadership that gives the form of attention outside the work affairs, the leader who want to go down directly, embrace, democratic, listen to the voice of the staff, walk according to existing rules, and want to familiarize themselves with the staff .

Abstract

This study motivated by the phenomena gap that occurred on small and middle enterprise (UKM) which is engaged in the food processing industry in Gresik. This study aims to examine the performance of Supply Chain Management which include focus on independent variables longterm relation, information sharing, Cooperation, Integration Process.The population in this study are all the small and middle enterprise’s business owner in the food processing industry (IKM) in Gresik. Data collection method used is the method of sampling the sample amount to 106 respondents. The analytical method used is multiple regression.Based on statistical data analysis, the indicators in this study are valid and reliable. Sequentially based on the highest up to the lowest effect variable is the variable of longterm relation, information sharing, Integration Process, Cooperation. The result of the study found that three of all the independent variables are significant positive effect on the dependent variable while another variable (Cooperation) is significant negative.

Abstract

The development of Indonesia's economy cannot be separated from that spread through regions in Indonesia. Purbalingga as one of the districts in Central Java has a potential and growing industrial sector. One of them is the exhaust industry in Pesayangan. The exhaust industry in Purbalingga has huge assets and total production. Like other industries, the exhaust industry in Purbalingga also has problems such as lack of capital funds, product distribution, and supply of raw materials for production. These problems include into supply chain management. Furthermore, the aim this study is to examine the influence of long-term relationship, information sharing, trust, and process integration on supply chain management performance.The population of this study is the company of exhaust industry in Purbalingga which amounts to 148. This research will use a sample of 100 respondents by questionnaires, where the data obtained will be analyzed which covers validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression test, t test, F test and coefficient of determination testThe test results show that the indicators in this study are valid and reliable. The most influential variables are long-term relationship (0,286), then trust (0,208), process integration (0,176), and information sharing (0,169). These results show that all independent variables have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable supply chain management performance.

Abstract

TQM or Total Quality Management is a management strategy shown to instill a quality awareness on all processes within the organization. In accordance with the ISO definition, TQM is "a management approach for a quality-centered organization based on the participation of all its members and aims for long-term success through customer satisfaction and benefits for all members of the organization and society."This study uses leadership, commitment, strategic planning, and teamwork as independent variables and employee performance as a dependent variable. Population in this research is all employees of PT. Rimatex Putra Nusantara Wanarejan Taman Pemalang. The technique of semple taken is saturated sampling. With a semple number of 100 employees. The data obtained have been tested for reliability and validity by using validity and reliability test. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that there is a positive and significant influence of leadership, commitment, strategic planning, and teamwork on employee performance. From the results of the coefficient of determination shows that leadership, commitment, strategic planning, and teamwork have an effect on the performance of employees of PT. Rimatex Putra Nusantara is 57% while the rest 43% is explained by other variable not explained in this research.

Abstract

The largest asset in sharia banking is financing, along with the rapid development of sharia banking, management is required to maximize their assets to increase their profits. Therefore, sufficient knowledge and understanding of financing risks in sharia banking must be owned. This study aims to analyze the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Financing Principles, and Financing Usage on Non Performing Financing (NPF) of Sharia Banking. The sample used in this research is secondary data from non performing financing (NPF), composite value of corporate governance, Financing Principles (assets based financing and debt based financing), and Financing Usage (working capital financing, investment financing, and consumption financing) for the period 2011-2015. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression Method as the method of analysis. The results of this study indicate that GCG, financing Principles, and Financing Usage affected the level of non performing financing on Islamic Banking in Indonesia. Then the partial test shows debt based financing, investment financing, and consumption financing have a significant positive effect on the level of non performing financing on Islamic Banking in Indonesia.
