Abstract

             A site's traffic is one of the most important performance indicators in a company that provides digital content or a website. This research aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness towards intention to use news sites Suaramerdeka.com through attitude towards use as the intervening variable.            The sampling method used on this research is non-probability samplig with purposive sampling technique. Samples were collected from 100 respondents on Semarang who use the internet and knows information about Suaramerdeka.com. Analysis method used here is multiple regression analysis wich includes validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linier regression test, t-test, f-test, determination test and sobel test.            The result showed that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness has positive and significant influence on attitude towards use. While attitude towards use as the intervening variable has positive and significant influence on intention to use

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of service system quality, service environment, and contact personnel in order to influence purchasing decision, which utilitarian value and corporate image are used as intervening variables between service system quality, service environment, and contact personnel to BRT Trans Semarang customer’s purchasing decision.Sampling of this research was done by using a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method, in which respondents is BRT Trans Semarang. The answers of 175 respondents were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 22 with  Multiple Regressional Analysis as analytical tool. The first regression to analyze the effect of service system quality on utilitarian value. The second regression to analyze the effect of service environment and contact personnel on corporate image. While, the third regression to analyze the effect of utilitarian value and corporate image on purchase decision. The result shows that service system quality has positive and significant impact on utilitarian value. Service environment and contact personnel have positive and significant impact on corporate image. Abstract

Basically nursing is recognized as one of the jobs that are full of pressure, so in this case work stress becomes one of the important issues that need to be considered among nurses. Stress on the nurses is caused by several factors derived from the role stressor. This study aims to analyze the effect of some kind of role stressors on turnover intention through job satisfaction among nurses. It was conducted on 146 nurses at the hospital at the Panti Wilasa Citarum  Semarang hospital. Analysis of structural equation model (SEM) was used to identify and explain the result from the relationship between each role stressors variable towards job satisfaction and turnover intention variable. All variables in this study were measured using 29 indicators.The result of this study indicate that role stressors variable  such as role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, and work-family conflict are found to have a direct negative effect on nurse job satisfaction. But relationship between role ambiguity and role conflict variable are both statistically found to have an insignificant negative effect on job satisfaction variable. Job satisfaction was found to have a significant negative effect on turnover intention variable.

Abstract

The study aims to examine and explain the effect of the variable company’s service quality, company’s performance perceived by customer, company’s image to the customer’s satisfaction and loyalty. The research was conducted in Islamic Hospital of Sultan Agung Semarang Central Jav. The objects chosen for the research were 155 patients of the hospital. The analysis tools are multiple regression and path analysis to determine the pattern and effect relationships between variables in sequence, i.e. independents, dependents and intervening variables. The results of the study explained that all 7 hypothesis are accepted.  However the customer satisfaction finally is detected as not as intervening variable as it doesn’t increase the effect of independent variable (company’s service quality, company’s performance perceived  by customer, company’s image) to customer’s loyalty. The direct effect of independent variables (company’s service quality, company’s performance perceived by customer, company’s image) to customer’s loyalty is bigger than their indirect effect through customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Companies nowadays prioritizes employee’s experience in work. This is shown from the employee's productivity that is influenced by the non-physical work environment and the quality of information within the company. Employee productivity is also influenced by the ability to adapt to its work. This study examines the influence of Non Physical Work Environment and the quality of information on employee productivity with adaptive behavior as intervening variable. The method used in this study is to use multiple linear regression to test the direct hypothesis and path analysis to test the indirect influence of the hypothesis tested.The results of this research indicate a significant positive influence between non-physical work environment with adaptive behavior, quality of information with adaptive behavior, adaptive behavior with employee productivity and non-physical work environment with employee productivity, while the quality of information with employee productivity has positive but not significant influence. In conclusion, this research is able to prove the proposed hypothesis.

Abstract

Business competition in the current era of globalization requires companies to have a strategy to win the competition. Strategic management has an important role for the survival of the company. The existence of such competition is also felt by small businesses such as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The increase in the number of MSME units in Central Java was not followed by an increase in average turnover Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. This study aims to analyze the effect of innovation and competitive advantage as an intervening variable on market orientation and implementation ERP on marketing performance.The population in this study were Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises owners, where respondents were owners of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the city of Semarang. The number of samples used was 128 respondents. The method of data collection is done through a questionnaire method. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques using the AMOS 24 analysis tool.The results of this study indicate that the market orientation is a positive effect on innovation, implementation ERP has a positive effect on innovation, the market orientation is a positive effect on competitive advantage, implementation ERP has a positive effect on competitive advantage, innovation has a positive effect on competitive advantage, market orientation has a positive effect on marketing performance, innovation has a positive effect on marketing performance and competitive advantage bar has a negative and insignificant effect on marketing performance.

Abstract

Gender is not only about type of sex, but it is more about character, social role and identity in the society. Gender equality has not perfectly happened in workplace and also political issue. It caused of the incredulity of people about women leadership. However, in previous research we found that women and men are equal on their leadership capability. Therefore, this research aimed to identify leadership style, leadership effectiveness, and also challenges of men and women leaders in Indonesia.This research used qualitative method and case study approach. The main object of this research are men and women leaders in Indonesian government organizations. Moreover, this research investigated on subordinate, counterpart, and superior about leadership of those leaders.The result of this research revealed that men and women leaders are using transformational leadership style. And then, those leaders are considered equal on leadership effectiveness, and also have common challenges on task, communication, and their leadership

Abstract

           This research was conducted to examine the influence of macroeconomic factors, as measured by inflation, interest rate, REER exchange rate and GDP growth to financing Islamic bank in Indonesia. This study also used control variables of demography (number of Muslim population in Indonesia) and the global financial crises effect in 2008.             Data used this study was obtained from the Financial Report of Bank Indonesia publications, and bank report through the website. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample in this study 6 Sharia foreign exchange banks. Data analysis techniques used in this study is multiple regression on panel data, where there are 6 Sharia foreign exchange banks and 40 periods (quarterly data 2007 – 2016). There are two research models, in the model I the regression of macroeconomic variables to Islamic bank financing. Whereas in the model II the regression of macroeconomic variables to Islamic bank financing, demography and the global financial crises effect as a control variable.              The result of this research is, in the regression model I variable inflation have positive and significant effect to Islamic bank financing, while the variable interest rate, REER exchange rate, and GDP growth have a negative and significant effect to Islamic bank financing. Whereas in regression model II, inflation have a positive and significant effect on Islamic bank financing, the REER exchange rate have a negative and significant effect on Islamic bank financing. There are differences where the variable interest rate and GDP growth have insignificant effect to Islamic bank financing. Control variables demography have a significant effect while the global financial crises effect have insignificant effect to Islamic bank financing.

Abstract

This study was aimed to test the effect of debt to firm profitability. Dependent variable is firm profitability proxy by return on asset (ROA), independent variable is debt consist of short-term debt (STD), long-term debt (LTD) and debt to equity ratio (DER). While control variables consist of growth and liquidity. The population of this study is real estate and property companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2012-2016. Sampling method used in this study is purposive sampling. Data from 36 companies was taken as study samples. The method of this study is using multiple regression model with signification at 5%.The result of this study showed that short-term debt, long-term debt, and debt to equity ratio have a negative significant effect to firm profitability (ROA). While as control variables, growth and liquidity found has a positive significant effect to firm profitability (ROA). Adjusted R square obtained from this study is 0.257. This indicates that 25,7% of the dependent variable which is firm profitability (ROA) can be explained by the three independent variables are short-term debt (STD), long-tem debt (LTD), debt to equity ratio (DER) and two control variables are growth and liquidity, while the remaining 74,3% is explained by the others variable than this model.

Abstract

The new literature abaout financial slack is still rarely. Financial Slack is a phenomenon that occurs where the availability of corporate finance exceeds their needs which are then used to help finance the organization The purpose of this reseach is to determine the relation between financial slack with financial performance on manufacturing companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange. Company performance as dependent variable, while independent variables are HDFS (high discretionary financial slack), LDFS (low discretionary financial slack), AFR (availability for financial resources), DFR (demand for financial resources), and TFS (transitory financial slack).The sample in this research is manufacturing companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange during period 2014-2016. The sampling method in this research is purpose sampling. This research is based on organizational and behavioral theory and analyzed using multiple regression.The result shows that all the independent variables that represent financial slack have significant and positif relation with performance, so all variables accepted, which means the financial slack can increase the performance on the manufacturing companies. We will suggest that in future research can to follow the variable because it is a good measure of financial slack indicator that related with performance.
