Abstract

The hotel business is a service that requires entrepreneurs to always provide the best service and performance at all times, twenty-four hours a day. When talking about service, it cannot be separated from what is called human resources. The most common problems in the hotel business are the level of performance and service that is not always optimal, and the high risk of turn over for employees. Employee engagement is one way to overcome these problems. Many factors can affect the level of employee engagement, including transformational leadership, applied organizational culture, and the level of emotional intelligence each employee has.The data analysis method used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling, which is estimated by the AMOS program. The study was conducted on employees of the MG SETOS Hotel Semarang. This study involved 127 respondents who were randomly selected through simple random sampling technique.This study examines the effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture on the level of employee engagement with emotional intelligence being its intervening variables. The results of this research indicate a positive influence between transformational leadership and organizational culture on emotional intelligence, the positive influence of transformational leadership and organizational culture on employee engagement,  and a positive influence between emotional intelligence on employee engagement. In conclusion, this research is able to prove the proposed hypothesis.

Abstract

This research came from the dissatisfaction problem that occured at Tower Cafe Tembalang. Dissatisfaction that happens can cause things that are detrimental to the sustainability of the cafe, such as the possibility of the emergence of negative WOM and low interest in repurchasing the product. One strategy that is generally used to overcome this problem is to increase customer satisfaction. Therefore, this research aims to understand what factors that can increase customer satisfaction. This research also wanted to find out whether there is an influence of brand image, price reasonableness, and physical environment toward customer satisfaction in Tower Cafe Tembalang.The population in this research was consumer of Tower Cafe Tembalang. Data obtained through questionnaires from 150 samples, using non-probability approach, purposive sampling. Then, the data is processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression and T test.The result showed that brand image, price reasonableness, and physical environment have a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. In other words, all hypotheses that said there are a positive influence between brand image, price reasonableness, and physical environment on customer satisfaction, are accepted.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the phenomenon that occurs in millennials is that they often gather or carry out activities together with the closest people in a place such as in a café or in places to eat. This is one of the lifestyle icons of the current millennial generation era, with the existence of a place to eat or café can be used as a place to hang out or do activities with people nearby or even just to relieve fatigue from daily routine. This study aims to examine the effect of service quality, store atmosphere variables on repurchase behavior through image and customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The study was conducted on Legend Coffe in the city of Yogyakarta.This study uses a purposive sampling technique with numbers a sample of 100 respondents. The method used in this study is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using AMOS software 24.0.The results in this study indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect on restaurant image variables, store atmosphere has a positive and significant effect on restaurant image variables, restaurant image variables have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction variables, customer satisfaction variables have a positive influence and significant to the variable intention to behave.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of online customer review towards consumer purchase intention of cosmetic in Indonesia. To achieve the research objectives, author conducted a case study on one of the largest review platforms in Indonesia, namely Femaledaily.There are four independent variables (review quality, review quantity, review valence, and credibility source) to examine the effect of online consumer review toward purchase intentionThe sampling method used on this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Samples collected from 100 respondents in Indonesia who had read a review through the application or the Femaledaily website.The results showed that the review quality, review quantity, and review valence has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention for cosmetics products. While the review valence does not have a significant influence on purchase intention. By knowing the results of this research, marketers are expected to consider online customer reviews as marketing strategies that can be used to increase company sales.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of banks model, the different types of ownership, and ownership concentration on bank financial performance. State ownership, domestic ownership and foreign ownersip were used as the ownership indicators and Net Interest Margin (NIM) ratio were used as the proxied of financial performance. The Population that was used in this research consisted of all conventional and islamic commercial banks which is listed in Directory of Indonesian Banking 2018 and published the financial statements during 2014-2019. After passed the purposive sampling method there were 94 banks obtained as samples. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistic, classical assumption test  and panel regression test with random effect model. The result of this research showed that banks model and state ownership have positively significant impact on NIM and foreign ownership has negatively significant impact while domestic ownership and ownership concentration have insignificantly impact on bank financial performance.
