Abstract

This study aims to understand how sport tourism in Sabang can transform into a sustainable city branding instrument, emphasizing the relationship between natural potential, socio-cultural traditions, and the creative economy of the local community. This study uses a qualitative approach with an interpretative paradigm, which allows researchers to explore the meanings, perceptions, and experiences of the actors involved. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with local government, tourism businesses, sports communities, and tourists, participant observation of sport tourism activities, and a review of tourism policy and promotion documents. Analysis was conducted thematically, emphasizing the processes of reduction, categorization, and interpretation to find relevant patterns of meaning. The results show that Sabang has great potential to develop sport tourism through its geographical advantages, marine ecology, and maritime traditions, but still faces challenges such as limited infrastructure, inconsistent international promotion, and threats to ecological sustainability. The discussion emphasizes that sport tourism can be an effective city branding instrument if developed with an integrative approach, involving synergy between the government, community, and business actors, and prioritizing environmental sustainability. Thus, sports tourism in Sabang is not only a tourist attraction but also a city branding strategy that can strengthen local identity, stimulate the creative economy, and increase global competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze changes in language patterns in adolescents' digital communication using a qualitative approach that combines linguistic, sociological, and information technology perspectives. The transformation of language patterns in the digital space has become increasingly significant with the increasing intensity of use of platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok in adolescents' daily lives. Research data was obtained through observations of digital communication in online chat groups and documentation of conversation screenshots, which were analyzed thematically using a linguistic and social interpretation framework. The results show that adolescents develop new language patterns characterized by shortening words, using creative abbreviations, mixing Indonesian and English, and integrating visual symbols such as emojis and stickers as part of the message structure. From a sociological perspective, these language patterns function as group identity and a means of building social closeness in digital communities. Meanwhile, digital platform features such as auto-suggestion, recommendation algorithms, and the ease of use of stickers have been shown to influence adolescents' language choices and communication expressions. These findings confirm that language changes in digital communication are not random but are shaped by the interaction between linguistic factors, social dynamics, and technological influences.

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze the implementation of Murabahah contracts in Indonesian Islamic Banking from the perspective of Shari'ah Compliance principles. Although Murabahah is fundamentally defined as a sale and purchase transaction (bai') with an agreed profit margin, its practical implementation often shows distortions that distance it from the pure essence of sale and purchase and make it more similar to a debt financing scheme. The main distortion is identified in the minimal role of the bank as the seller who owns and controls the object of the goods (qabdh), as well as the use of wakalah contracts, which often obscure the transfer of risk and actual ownership. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis with a contemporary fiqh muamalah approach and Sharia banking regulations applicable in Indonesia (DSN-MUI Fatwa and PBI/POJK). The results of the analysis show that although formally and legally the Bank has fulfilled the document requirements, substantively several practices, such as determining the selling price based on conventional interest calculations (even though it is termed margin) and the absence of full ownership risk, weaken the clear separation between Sharia and conventional principles

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sustainability Management (SM) and philanthropic practices carried out by PT Astra International Tbk as part of the company's sustainability strategy. In the modern business context, sustainability is not only an external demand, but also an integral part of long-term competitive advantage. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through document studies, indirect observations, and semi-structured interviews with relevant stakeholders. Data sources consist of company sustainability reports, academic publications, and information from trusted media. The results show that Astra has successfully integrated sustainability principles into its business operations through programs that cover environmental, social, and governance aspects. Initiatives such as the development of environmentally friendly vehicles, community empowerment through vocational education, and the SATU Indonesia Awards program reflect the company's commitment to creating shared value. The philanthropic practices carried out are not only charitable, but also strategic and oriented towards long-term impact. This study concludes that PT Astra International Tbk can be a model for the effective implementation of SM and philanthropy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine This study aims to determine the description of literacy in the form of language alteration in the Nussa & Rara animated film episode "Learning Honest". This research is a qualitative descriptive. The provision of information is carried out by following and listening and mastering linguistic data in the form of oral information in the broadcast source of the Nussa & Rara Animated Film. The technique is a listening technique, free to engage in conversation and a note-taking technique. The data analysis method used is the agih method and the technical reading agih method. The results of this study show the form of language variation in this animated film consisting of variations from speakers, variations in terms of formality, users and variations in terms of facilities. 1) the variety of language in terms of speakers is colored by the Jakarta dialect, 2) the alteration in terms of formality using standard and relaxed languages, 3) educational registers give a lot of color in the variety of users, and 4) variations in terms of means of using spoken means in the broadcast of this animated film.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct a new paradigm capable of bridging the existing gap. Theoretically, it integrates the concept of transcendental values in Sufism with the humanistic–existential psychology approach and social transformation theory. The method employed is qualitative research based on library studies with philosophical, theological, and interdisciplinary approaches, analyzed through hermeneutic-critical methods and conceptual synthesis. The main argument of this study is that authentic social transformation can only be realized through the integration of inner transformation and structural change, mediated by transcendental awareness and human self-actualization. Therefore, transcendental values must be reconstructed not merely as norms, but as epistemic and practical energy. The scientific contribution of this research lies in the formulation of a humanistic–spiritual–transformative paradigm, the strengthening of the concept of spiritual agency, and the development of methodologies for applying transcendental values based on existential experience. This paradigm is expected to enrich the field of Islamic Studies while providing an alternative response to contemporary humanitarian crises.

Abstract

This study discusses the tradition of pounding rice using Jeungki as one of the cultural heritages of Acehnese society that possesses historical, social, and cultural values. Jeungki is a traditional rice-pounding tool that has been used from generation to generation by rural communities in Aceh before the development of modern technology in agricultural processing. This tradition functions not only as an economic activity and a means of fulfilling food needs, but also as a medium of social interaction, mutual cooperation, and a symbol of togetherness within the community. This research aims to describe the use of Jeungki, the cultural values embedded within the tradition, and the challenges of its preservation in the era of modernization. The study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques involving communities that still maintain the use of Jeungki. The findings reveal that Jeungki embodies the values of cooperation, social solidarity, respect for ancestral traditions, and reflects the local wisdom of Acehnese society in utilizing environmentally friendly traditional technology. However, the existence of Jeungki has gradually declined due to changes in lifestyles and the increasing use of modern machinery. Therefore, preservation efforts are needed through cultural education, documentation of traditions, and introduction to younger generations so that Jeungki remains recognized as part of Acehnese cultural identity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school leadership in improving teacher discipline at SMPS Tauthiah Arongan and to identify the efforts undertaken by the principal to foster teacher discipline. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the principal played an important role in improving teacher discipline through the implementation of mutually agreed-upon regulations, supervision, and direct guidance. Teachers who demonstrated a lack of discipline were provided with direction and guidance through personal meetings and family-oriented warnings. This approach was implemented to foster teachers' professional awareness without prioritizing rigid formal sanctions. The findings indicate that the principal's communicative and humanistic leadership helped maintain a harmonious school environment while encouraging improved teacher discipline. Therefore, school leadership plays an important role in building a culture of discipline and enhancing teachers' professional responsibility at SMPS Tauthiah Arongan.

Abstract

History learning outcomes remain a challenge in the learning process, partly due to the suboptimal use of learning media that can enhance student engagement. This study aims to examine the implementation of Canvas Instructure as a learning medium and students’ history learning outcomes in Class X-E1 at MAN 2 Banda Aceh. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a One-Shot Case Study. The sample consisted of 27 students. Data were collected through observation and a post-test, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and a One-Sample t-Test. The results showed that the implementation of Canvas Instructure supported by the Blended Learning model obtained an observation score of 95%, categorized as very good. The students’ average learning outcome reached 84.17, exceeding the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 80, with a learning mastery percentage of 75%. The hypothesis test showed a calculated t-value of 1.935 > the critical t-value of 1.714 at a 5% significance level, leading to the rejection of H₀ and acceptance of Hₐ. Therefore, Canvas Instructure supported by the Blended Learning model is effective in improving the history learning outcomes of Class X-E1 students at MAN 2 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the history learning outcomes of Grade XI students after learning through the Kung Fu Quiz learning media at SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. This research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Shot Case Study design, involving only one experimental group. The population consisted of all Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh, comprising eight classes. The sample was Class XI A2-4, which initially consisted of 36 students. However, only 28 students participated in the entire research process; therefore, the data analysis was based on 28 students. The sample was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the students' mean history learning outcome after using the Kung Fu Quiz learning media was 78.57, which was higher than the school's MMC of 70. The One-Sample t-test yielded a t-value of 3.422, which exceeded the t-table value of 1.703 at the significance level of α = 0.05 (3.422 > 1.703). In addition, the one-tailed significance value was 0.001, indicating that the students' mean learning outcome was significantly higher than the established MMC. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Kung Fu Quiz learning media was effective in helping Grade XI A2-4 students at SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh achieve mastery in history learning outcomes.
