Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dividend policy, leverage, earning volatility, and trading volume on stock price volatility. This research is causality and uses quantitative data obtained by the purposive sampling method. There are 17 companies as research samples. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. This study's object is a company listed in the Finance sector in the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014 - 2018. The data used from financial reports, annual reports, and a summary of listed companies' performance. The research analysis method uses a multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS version 25 software. The study results found that dividend payout ratio and dividend yield were a significant positive effect on stock price volatility. While leverage, earning volatility, and trading volume does not affect stock price volatility.

Abstract

This research explains the influence of inflation, Exchange Rate, BI Rate, GDP, World Gold Price, Crude Oil Price, Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), and Nikkei 225 toward Jakarta Composite Index (JCI). Type of research used in causality research with a quantitative approach. The sample was based on daily time series data from 1 January 2014 until 31 December 2019, using a complete sampling method that consists of 2190 samples. This research used a generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) method. The result of hypothesis testing by the GARCH method shows that the World Gold Price and Dow Jones Industrial Average significant have a positive effect, Then the Nikkei 225 significant have a negative effect, and then the Inflation, Exchange Rate, BI Rate, and GDP have not significant to the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI). The implication of this research provides information to investors who must pay attention to World Gold Price, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nikkei225 if they want to invest in Indonesian.

Abstract

The use of the internet has now become a necessity in everyday life. E-commerce is the sale, purchase, marketing of goods or services through electronic systems or the internet. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy and financial attitude on financial management behaviour as a mediator for e-commerce users in Surabaya. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data and uses primary data. The number of samples used was 218 respondents with criteria for e-commerce users included in the top 10 e-commerce that dominated the Indonesian online market, residing in the city of Surabaya, and aged 18 to 35 years. This study's data collection instrument was the distribution of questionnaires online. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Path Analysis technique of the Complex Model using AMOS version 23. The results of this study are that financial literacy influences financial management behaviour. Financial attitude does not affect financial management behaviour because based on age that is still not fully able to manage their finances very well. Financial literacy and financial management behaviour affect financial satisfaction. Financial attitude does not affect financial satisfaction because respondents still do not have their income or their income level is not too high. Financial management behaviour mediates financial literacy for financial satisfaction. Financial management behaviour does not mediate financial attitude towards financial satisfaction.

Abstract

The factors that influence employee job satisfaction are work-life balance and emotional exhaustion. Factors that can affect job satisfaction will affect employee job satisfaction. This study aimed to determine the influence of work-life balance on job satisfaction through emotional exhaustion. This research was conducted at Surabaya State University, with a total sample of 60 employees and used convenience sample techniques. Data collection uses surveys, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of the study show that work-life balance has a positive effect on job satisfaction, while emotional exhaustion harms job satisfaction.

Abstract

The increase in internet users encourages endorsers to market a product to shift to online media such as Youtube. The use of the online media Youtube by endorsers creates a unique attraction and can encourage consumers to make purchases. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that need to be considered by marketers in marketing their products so that they can achieve a high level of consumer purchase intention. This research uses a quantitative survey method by distributing 210 questionnaires to Youtube viewers who have seen Atta Halilintar and know AHHA fashion products. Testing using structural equation models (SEM) shows the factors influencing consumer purchase intentions. The results show attitude homophily has a significant effect on endorser credibility. Attitude homophily, social attractiveness, and self-disclosure significantly affect parasocial interaction. Relationship with endorser credibility also has a significant impact on purchase intention. Social relationships have a significant effect on parasocial interactions. Interaction has a significant effect on Atta Halilintar's audience's purchase intention. This study implies that the endorsers who have the personality, credibility, and parasocial interactions that the audience likes will influence their purchase intention.

Abstract

In May and Go Away (SMGA), Sell is a type of seasonal Anomaly, which historically originated in Europe and America that between May-October returns lower than the other periods from November to April. This research aims to determine the difference in abnormal return in the May-October (Worst period) period and November-April (Best period) in Indonesia and Malaysia Stock Exchange between 2017 to 2019. This test conducted using the company's stock price data samples listed on the LQ45 index in the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the FBMKLCI index in the Malaysia Stock Exchange period 2017 to 2019. Hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test to answer if there is a difference in return between the best period and the worst period, to prove the Sell's existence in May and Go Away. The results showed no difference returns between the best and worst periods in the Sell in May and Go Away phenomenon at the Indonesia and Malaysia Stock Exchange period 2017 to 2019. The Investor considers SMGA as not a phenomenon containing excellent or bad information that is capable of affecting the price movement of shares so that SMGA as a strategy to buy stocks in the best period and sell in the worst period is no longer relevant

Abstract

Instititut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Lhokseumawe is the only Islamic education campus in Lhokseumawe city, which one of its faculties is the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, consisting of Sharia banking and Sharia Accounting study programs. This research tries to determine factors influencing the students' decision to choose the new study program in the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, IAIN Lhokseumawe. This research used analysis factor methods using SPSS. The study samples are Sharia banking and Sharia Accounting students. The research results explained that the investigated two-factor groups: the first-factor group includes the place, process, physical evidence, price, product, decision, and economy. The second-factor group includes positive issues and promotion. The positive issue factor is the highest and dominated the students' decision to choose the study programs. The following factors included place, process, physical evidence, price, product, promotion, decision, and economy. Thus, there is no difference between factor 1 and factor 2 variables influencing the students' decision when choosing the departments. This research is limited to two study programs in an Islamic higher education institution. Future research can involve students' parents and compare with other study programs using other research methods to get a complete picture to deepen the factors influencing students to choose a new study program.

Abstract

This research tries to find the relationship between organizational change, organizational culture, transformational leadership, and employee performance at PT Pancaputra Mitratama Mandiri. This research is using a quantitative approach. The population in this study are 32 employees at PT Pancaputra Mitratama Mandiri. Data are running using software SmartPLS, which uses SEM and PLS. The results in this research are (1) Transformational leadership has an insignificant impact on employee performance, (2) transformational leadership has a significant impact on organizational change, (3) transformational leadership has a significant impact on organizational culture, (4) organizational change has an insignificant impact on employee performance, (5) organizational culture has an insignificant impact on employee performance, (6) organizational change has a significant impact on organizational culture, (7) transformational leadership on employee performance has not indirect impact by organizational culture, (8) transformational leadership on employee performance has not indirect impact by organizational change, and (9) organizational change on employee performance has not indirect impact by organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors considered by online shop owners in choosing photo catalogue services. This research is quantitative type. This study's data sources are primary data conducted by distributing questionnaires to research respondents. This research sample is 54 online shop owners who use product catalogue photo services. This research's variables are product attributes consisting of the brand, quality, features, design, price, and guarantee. The data collection technique uses questionnaires to 54 samples of product catalogue service users. In this case, the weighting questionnaire was filled in, done with Osgood's semantic differential measurement scale. This study's data analysis techniques were factor analysis, factor feasibility test, and correlation analysis. Are six factors to consider online businesspeople using product catalogue photo services. Product quality factors include high photo resolution, proper photo brightness; the resulting photo focuses on the product and colour match. The Feature Factor includes distinctive features, exceptional light-dark levels, and distinctive themes. Design factors include photo clarity, photo editing, and ready-to-upload photos. Factors include price according to quality, affordable prices, discounted prices, and price variations. The warranty factor includes product warranty items, a money-back guarantee, and a photo re-guarantee. Promotional factors that are informative, attractive promotions, promotions that are easy to remember, service readiness, problem-solving, services that are as promised and responsive to complaints

Abstract

This study aimed to examine and analyze transformational leadership and employee engagement on employee performance at PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Utama Surabaya. Quantitative methods use to process questionnaire that employees have filled in. The study population was all employees of PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Utama Surabaya consisting of 63 employees. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis by IBM SPSS 23 software. This study indicates that transformational leadership has a positive impact on employee performance. Employee engagement has a positive impact on employee performance. Transformational leadership and employee engagement can affect the performance of employees of PT. Taspen (Persero) Kantor Cabang Utama Surabaya.
