Abstract

This study investigates the effect of work motivation and ethics on the job commitment of BPTI Surabaya administrators. The study's population consisted of 159 participants, and the sample comprised 113 individuals. The data collection was accomplished through the use of questionnaires and various documentation methods. Data sources were obtained through both primary and secondary data. Data processing and analysis are performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 15.0. The research findings indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the job commitment of administrators. The t-count value (8.637) is greater than the t-table value (2.390), and the p-value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, which supports this. Work ethic has a positive and significant influence on administrators' job dedication, as indicated by the t-count value (4.184), which exceeds the t-table value (2.390), and a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. There is a positive and substantial impact on management's job commitment when work ethics and work motivation are integrated simultaneously. Work motivation exerts a more significant effect on management's job commitment than work ethic, as indicated by the regression coefficient of the work motivation variable (0.685), which surpasses that of work ethic (0.409). Work motivation (X1) and work ethic (X2) account for 86.00% of the manager's job commitment (Y). Conversely, the remaining 14.00% is affected by extraneous elements or variables beyond the purview of this study, including work morale, atmosphere, workability, education, and training.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of micro influencers on customer online engagement by examining key dimensions that define influencer effectiveness. Specifically, the research evaluates two main dimensions of micro influencers: Influencer Attractiveness (IA) and Follower Self-Assessment (Emotional Attachment), and their influence on three components of customer online engagement: Cognition, Affection, and Activation. A quantitative method was employed using SEM-PLS approach to test the proposed hypotheses. A total of 232 responses were collected through an online survey distributed to social media users who engage with micro influencer content. The analysis reveals that both Influencer Attractiveness and Emotional Attachment have a significant and positive impact on customer cognitive, affective, and active engagement. These findings highlight the strategic importance of selecting micro influencers who not only appeal visually but also build emotional connections with their audience. The study provides practical insights for marketers to strengthen their digital campaigns by leveraging emotionally resonant and attractive micro influencers to enhance brand engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze in depth the influence of Employer Branding on Job Application Intention, considering the role of Corporate Reputation as a mediating variable. This research was conducted on a case study in the Department of Human Resource Management and Development. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, involving the entire population as respondents. The total number of respondents was 32 employees working in the Department of Human Resource Management and Development. This research was quantitative, with data analysis using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach, processed and analyzed using SmartPLS software version 4.1. Based on the data processing results, it was found that employer branding did not significantly influence job application intention among the respondents involved in this study. Conversely, corporate reputation was found to have a positive and significant influence on job application intention, indicating that corporate image plays a crucial role in attracting applicants. Furthermore, the results also indicated that employer branding did not significantly influence corporate reputation. Indirect relationship testing revealed that employer branding was unable to mediate the relationship between employer branding itself and job application intentions. Overall, these findings suggest that efforts to build a company's reputation have a more significant impact than relying solely on employer branding strategies in influencing job application intentions.

Abstract

This research seeks to explore how gender diversity within boards of directors influences capital structure, alongside examining the roles of profitability, revenue growth, business risk, asset composition, and CEO tenure. The focus is on energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2019 and 2023. Utilising a quantitative approach, the study relies on secondary data sources. The sample comprises firms in the energy sector that were publicly traded on the IDX during the specified years, selected through purposive sampling. Panel data regression analysis was employed using STATA version 17 to process the data. The results indicate that CEO tenure has a significant negative impact on the capital structure of energy companies. In relation to the length of the CEO's tenure, a company may appoint an experienced CEO as it reflects their understanding of the mechanisms of debt ratio usage and the associated risks. However, no significant relationships were found concerning gender diversity on the board of directors, profitability, sales growth, business risk, or asset structure. Therefore, companies in the energy sector should consider additional factors beyond these five variables to attain an optimal capital structure. Company management has the freedom to recruit members of the board of directors in terms of gender diversity. Management must maintain stable profitability so that creditors or investors can better consider the level of profitability when assessing the capital structure. Management should also ensure stable sales growth to avoid selling products on credit. Furthermore, the company’s management is expected to choose between external and internal funding appropriately. Lastly, management must maintain financial stability, as it reflects the company's ability to meet long-term fixed asset requirements.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and health motivation on attitudes, and the subsequent influence of attitudes on the intention to consume low-sugar products among students at Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari, Jombang, Indonesia. Integrating the Health Belief Model (HBM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this explanatory quantitative research applies Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to data collected from 100 purposively selected students. The analysis reveals that perceived benefits and health motivation significantly and positively affect attitudes, while perceived barriers show no significant influence. Attitudes emerge as the main predictor of the intention to adopt low-sugar consumption behaviors. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the understanding that intrinsic motivation and perceived benefits can overcome external barriers in shaping health intentions, especially within a collectivist cultural context. Practically, the study highlights the importance of participatory, value-driven social marketing campaigns that resonate with students’ emotional, moral, and social values. Effective interventions should not rely solely on rational health information but also engage young audiences through relatable narratives, role models, and community-based approaches. Overall, this research offers both theoretical insights and practical recommendations for designing culturally sensitive strategies to promote sustainable healthy consumption behaviors among youth in developing countries.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the factors that can influence the financial management behaviour of Genshin Impact gamers who engage in lootbox transactions. The study employs a quantitative approach; this research utilises primary data collected from 176 individuals characterised as gamers who have an income and have made transactions within Genshin Impact. The collected data was processed using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares) analysis with the aid of SmartPLS 4 software. The results of this study indicate that the variables financial attitude and locus of control have a significant effect on financial management behaviour. In contrast, the variables income and financial literacy do not influence financial management behaviour. Therefore, the impliactions of this research highligt the importance for gamers to cultivate positive financial attitudes through awareness in managing expenses, savings and long-term goals. Gamers who actively engage in in-game transactions should strengthen internal control to resist external pressures such as lootbox promotions or community influence, enabling more rational decisions aligned with personal needs and financial capacity. Moreover, gamers need to understand that the higher the income does not automatically lead to good financial management behavior; effective financial management is required regardless of income level. Financial literacy should be applied into daily habits so that it can supports more sustainable financial decisions, rather than just theoretical understanding. Consistent financial management behavior can help gamers avoid impulsice spending and maintain financial well-being

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence, organizational culture, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among management employees in a type C hospital established in 2021. Using a quantitative approach, the research applied a saturated sampling technique involving 55 respondents. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on OCB, suggesting that employees with higher emotional intelligence tend to demonstrate stronger discretionary behaviors that benefit the organization. Similarly, organizational culture also shows a positive and significant effect on OCB, highlighting the role of shared values and norms in encouraging supportive behaviors among employees. However, the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between emotional intelligence and OCB was not supported in this study. From a managerial perspective, the results provide practical implications: management should focus on developing programs to enhance employees’ emotional intelligence and foster a strong organizational culture. These efforts are essential to sustain positive behaviors beyond formal job descriptions, ultimately contributing to improved organizational effectiveness and service quality.
