Abstract

Investment in HR training is the best practice in the industry that was developed in the information age. Employee competencies and skills are needed by organizations to increase profits. Employees in the marketing division, in this case are sales force. Companies providing assistance for sales training by providing useful training will return results to the company. The purpose of this study was to analyze the training plan for salespeople at PT X Surabaya engaged in heavy equipment rental. This company chooses because of its unique nature if you choose another service company. Qualitative research methods were chosen for this study, data collection was done by interview and observation. The results of this study show how training practices conducted by companies for their sales force are very effective, seen from reactions, learning, behavior, and results for organizations.Keywords: Effectiveness, Sales Force Training, performance, evaluation Training

Abstract

The results of the situation analysis show that the problems faced by partners are: First, the branding process for superior products such as product packaging, brands and designs that are less attractive. Some farmers have actually tried to package with good quality plastic. However, it is still lacking to make the product specific and have a positioning in the minds of consumers. Therefore, it is very important to make improvements in the product branding process so as to achieve competitive advantage. Second, the lack of knowledge and ability of business actors in online marketing to increase product sales. Third, as a relatively new business, oyster mushroom entrepreneurs have not yet done financial bookkeeping.Good business management must be supported by financial bookkeeping in an orderly and administrative manner. The solution to this problem is: First, efforts are needed to help oyster mushroom entrepreneurs in the form of training on packaging. Second, to further increase effectiveness and efficiency in product marketing in the current digital era, assistance needs to be provided in the form of training on online marketing. Third, training is needed on financial bookkeeping. It is hoped that assistance in the form of financial bookkeeping training, online marketing training and packaging improvements will be able to have a positive impact on improving and developing businesses for oyster mushroom business actors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of work–life balance on employee retention with the moderation of compensation. This study applied a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was the saturated sample technique. The total number of respondents was 99, obtained by distributing questionnaires directly. This study uses a Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Model (PLS–SEM) analysis technique. The results found that work–life balance has no significant effect on employee retention. Compensation has a significant positive effect on employee retention. Meanwhile, the moderation test could not be carried out further because the influence of work–life balance on employee retention was proven to have no effect This study suggests that while work–life balance policies are often considered important in employee retention, they may not be the primary determinant. Instead, companies should prioritise other factors, such as compensation, to enhance workforce loyalty effectively. The findings indicate that a well–structured compensation package, such as one encompassing salary, incentives, and benefits, plays a crucial role in reducing turnover. As a result, organissations aiming to improve employee commitment should focus on competitive compensation strategies as a central component of their retention efforts.

Abstract

Objective: Internships in higher education are vital for students' practical experience and skill development, with satisfaction being a key measure of success. Job challenge and role clarity significantly influence internship satisfaction. Job challenge enhances engagement and creativity, while role clarity reduces confusion, allowing students to focus on learning. Innovative work behavior, involving the initiation and implementation of new ideas, mediates this relationship, benefiting both the organization and students' sense of accomplishment. Together, these factors critically shape students' internship satisfaction. Method: The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The collected survey data is then analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS software. Results: The research indicates that **innovative work behavior** does not significantly affect internship satisfaction. **Job challenge** positively influences innovative behavior but has no significant impact on satisfaction. **Role clarity** does not directly affect innovative behavior but positively influences satisfaction. Neither job challenge nor role clarity significantly affects satisfaction through the mediation of innovative work behavior. Novelty: This research not only examines the direct influence of job challenge and role clarity on internship satisfaction, but also explores how students' innovative behaviors-such as the ability to initiate, implement, and adapt new ideas-can mediate the relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work stress on turnover intention with work engagement as a mediating variable. This research is a causal research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study amounted to 130 employees. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling technique, namely saturated sample technique. The statistical analysis method in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) supported by SmartPLS 4.0.9 computer software. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect of work stress on turnover intention, a negative and significant effect of work stress on work engagement, a negative and significant effect of work engagement on turnover intention, and work engagement can significantly mediate work stress on turnover intention. Therefore, Companies that want to reduce turnover intention need to pay more attention to work stress through work engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of job insecurity and workload on turnover intention, mediated by affective commitment, among employees of a manufacturing company. This type of research is quantitative research. Sampling using a saturated sampling technique with a total of 92 respondents. Statistical analysis was used in this study using SEM-PLS with the help of SmartPLS 4.1.0.6 software. The results of this study prove that job insecurity has a positive and insignificant effect on turnover intention, workload has a positive and significant impact on turnover intention, job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on affective commitment, workload has a positive and insignificant influence on affective commitment, and affective commitment has a positive and negligible effect on turnover intention. Affective commitment mediation the impact of job insecurity on turnover intention, and affective commitment does not mediate the effect of workload on turnover intention. The study's implications suggest that manufacturing companies should strive to create a safe and conducive work environment and involve employees in all company activities to maintain their commitment and loyalty. In addition, companies also need to pay attention to working hours and tasks assigned to employees to minimize the workload, thereby reducing turnover intention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work-life balance on Organizational Citizenship Behavior through psychological empowerment as an intervening variable. This study is a causal study using a quantitative approach, with a population of 53 employees. The sampling technique used is a non-probability sampling technique, namely the saturated sample technique. The statistical analysis method in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) supported by SmartPLS 4.1 computer software. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence of work-life balance on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, a positive and significant influence of work-life balance on psychological empowerment, a positive and significant influence of psychological empowerment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and psychological empowerment can mediate work-life balance on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Companies that want to improve Organizational Citizenship Behavior need to pay more attention to work-life balance through psychological empowerment.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of work motivation and ethics on the job commitment of BPTI Surabaya administrators. The study's population consisted of 159 participants, and the sample comprised 113 individuals. The data collection was accomplished through the use of questionnaires and various documentation methods. Data sources were obtained through both primary and secondary data. Data processing and analysis are performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 15.0. The research findings indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the job commitment of administrators. The t-count value (8.637) is greater than the t-table value (2.390), and the p-value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, which supports this. Work ethic has a positive and significant influence on administrators' job dedication, as indicated by the t-count value (4.184), which exceeds the t-table value (2.390), and a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. There is a positive and substantial impact on management's job commitment when work ethics and work motivation are integrated simultaneously. Work motivation exerts a more significant effect on management's job commitment than work ethic, as indicated by the regression coefficient of the work motivation variable (0.685), which surpasses that of work ethic (0.409). Work motivation (X1) and work ethic (X2) account for 86.00% of the manager's job commitment (Y). Conversely, the remaining 14.00% is affected by extraneous elements or variables beyond the purview of this study, including work morale, atmosphere, workability, education, and training.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence, organizational culture, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among management employees in a type C hospital established in 2021. Using a quantitative approach, the research applied a saturated sampling technique involving 55 respondents. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on OCB, suggesting that employees with higher emotional intelligence tend to demonstrate stronger discretionary behaviors that benefit the organization. Similarly, organizational culture also shows a positive and significant effect on OCB, highlighting the role of shared values and norms in encouraging supportive behaviors among employees. However, the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between emotional intelligence and OCB was not supported in this study. From a managerial perspective, the results provide practical implications: management should focus on developing programs to enhance employees’ emotional intelligence and foster a strong organizational culture. These efforts are essential to sustain positive behaviors beyond formal job descriptions, ultimately contributing to improved organizational effectiveness and service quality.

Abstract

Desa wisata merupakan salah satu sarana untuk pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal. Hal inilah yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Desa Hendrosari, Kecamatan Menganti, Kabupaten Gresik melalui BUMDes Lontar Sewu yang sedang meningkatkan pembangunan desa wisata sejak tahun 2020. Permasalahan yang masih menjadi perhatian pihak pengelola adalah SDM yang masih perlu terus ditingkatkan kemampuannya terutama dalam hal kualitas pelayanan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan tentang kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan kepada karyawan Wisata Lontar Sewu. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari pada tanggal 6-7 Oktober 2021 kepada 25 karyawan bagian frontline yang berhubungan langsung dengan para pelanggan. Hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan yang terdiri dari: pre test, post test dan evaluasi tingkat keberhasilan dalam kegiatan pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kegiatan PKM ini telah memberikan kemanfaatan bagi peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman para karyawan Wisata Lontar Sewu terkait dengan upaya perbaikan dalam pelayanan jasa di Wisata Lontar Sewu. Hal ini diindikasikan dari peningkatan yang signifikan skor nilai post test dibandingkan pre test, serta semua peserta pelatihan merasa puas dengan kegiatan PKM secara keseluruhan. Kata Kunci: pelatihan, pelayanan, desa wisata
