Abstract

There were no inquiry-based student worksheet of plant nutrition concept in VIIIth grade in Junior High School PGRI 29 Surabaya. Therefore, the aim of this research was 1) to develope the inquiry-based student worksheet, 2) to describe the validity of student-worksheet, 3) to describe the empirical validity based on student responses. The research design during the development used was 4-D model without the dessiminate phase. Based on the data showed that the developed student workesheet were 1) valid to be used by the score of 89% in the very valid category, 2) student responses in the score of 89,53% (very good category). Abstract

Animation interactive media can explain an abstract concept to more real. This research aimed to produce biogeochemical cycle animation interactive media which is fesiable theoretically. Feasibility theoretically got from a results of media validity by biology lecturers and teachers. The validation media aspects are graph quality, animation quality, program quality, physical quality, present quality, matter quality, and illustration quality. This development research used ASSURE model which consist of six phases. The validation media result percentage was 85,26% and got very feasible category that implementation feasible in the learning. Abstract

Hereditary is material that is difficult to understand. The material can not be observed with ordinary light microscope, so we need learning media that can provide an illustration of the relevant material to facilitate understanding learners. Many teachers using power point slide that just display pictures / photos and writings in learning, so the motivation of learners to learn the material of heredity is low. The purpose of this study is describing the theoritical feasibility of slide interactive media based power point of heredity in class xii senior high school which is gotten from research result of expert faculty of media, matter expert lecturers and teachers of Biology. This study refers to the ASSURE models. Results showed that slide interactive media based power point developed worthy use in learning by faculty experts and biology teacher with an average score of 3.48 overall worth is included in the category. Abstract

The objectives of this research are to 1) provide student worksheets with active learning-oriented that are feasible, 2) describe the feasibility of student worksheets the theoretically based on experts and practitioner of biology review results, 3) describe the empirical feasibility of the student responses to the worksheets on the subject of obtaining plant nutrition system. This type of research is student worksheets development with active learning-oriented. The development used FourD model (4D). Student worksheet's feasibility data were obtained from result of review of the worksheets by experts and practitioner of biology, and student responses to student worksheets. Data obtained were analized quantitatively and descriptively. The results show that 1) student worksheets has been the resulting feasible active learning -oriented is used, 2) student worksheets got a value of 3,48 with excellent category. It can be said that they are feasible theoretically based on experts and practitioner of biology review, 3) the result of the student responses to the worksheets got a positive value of 94%. Abstract

This research aimed to develop character-based students’ worksheet for subdiscussion of Phylum Mollusca which is feasible theoretically and empirically. This research was developmental research which develop character-based students’ worksheet by 4-D method (without disseminate phase). The result showed that the characters-based students’ worksheet that have been developed was feasible, both theoretically and empirically. The worksheet got good result, because the validation result showed that 93,75%. The worksheet was also good empirically students’ response was 97%. Abstract

Learning process especially for Science class should be designed to be interactive and inspiring so that the students will be motivated to participate actively. In material about animals kingdom for X class, there is one of basic competences stated that the students are able to describe phylum in animal kingdom and its role in daily life. Thus, this study focuses on Echinodermata phylum. Based on preliminary study, 51.7% of the students of SMAN 1 Lamongan had difficulties in learning one of materials about phylum of animal kingdom, the medium that was used by the teacher was not good enough. Therefore, the students’ working sheets entitled “Guided Discovery” was needed to develop as well as the model of Echinodermata to support Biology learning process for X class. The aim of this study was to create students’ working sheets entitled “Guided Discovery” and describe its suitability theoretically. This reseach was developmental study, which was from the students’ working sheets entitled “Guided Discovery”. The development of medium was based on 4-D method (disseminate steps). It took time from November 2012 until February 2013. Method of data collection using validation sheet. The result of this study showed that the students working sheets entitled “Guided Discovery” was not only worth using theoretically with 94% which includes the identity of 91%, display 97%, English 94%, content 94%, and 94% characteristic of guided discovery. In summary, the students’ working sheets entitled “Guided Discovery” can be used for learning purposes. Keyword: students worksheets “Guided Discovery”, Echinodermata, Biology for X class.

Abstract

Mutation sub Topic is one of an abstract learning material. Learning object in this sub topic cannot be observed using light microscope, thus it needs learning media that able to illustrated the material itself. So, this material would be simply understand by students. The objectives of this research is to produce and to described the theoritical feasibility of student worksheet. This research conducted based on Four-D (4-D) development methods. The result of this research indicates that developed student worksheets based on guided discovery on the mutation material as learning media could be declared feasible with worksheets validation and material validation score namely 86% and 90% Keywords: student worksheet, guided discovery, mutation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the suitability of the instructional objectives with paper and pencil test, developed by certified biologist teachers in the Bojonogoro district. The method used in this research is survey. Population and sample are 26 certified biology teacher. Documentation data retrieval techniques. The data obtained and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 43.06% items according to the taxonomic level learning objectives are developed, 39.35% items are not in accordance with the taxonomy of learning objectives and the level of 17.59% of the items were not developed learning goals. Abstract

Learning device in the plant organs materials on SMA GIKI 2 Surabaya not be an inquiry activities. so that, conducted research with the aim of producing learning device of inquiry feasible in materials of plant organs. This research is a development research, which adapted the 4-D model, the stage is limited to the develop stage. Subjects were the inquiry learning. Parameters of the feasibility study in terms of the results of the study include: syllabus gets a value of 89.58%, RPP gets a value of 91.67%, and LKS got a value of 94.45% and respectively categorized as very feasible. Abstract

This research aimed to describe suitability between learning objective and authentic assessment that made by certified biology teacher in Sidoarjo. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Sample of this research is 27 certified biology teacher of 46 total population certified biology teacher in Sidoarjo. Techniques of collecting data done by documentation and gave self-assessment questionnaires teacher. Authentic assessment profile analysis result are known for 98,02% of teachers using authentic assessment. 98,02% of teacher who used authentic assessment, at 63,82% of teacher prepared learning objectives appropriate to the task and rubric.
