Abstract

Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah who had skilss in multidisciplinary sciences was promient scholar in Islam  in the Middle Ages. Besides an expert in the fiqh (islamic jurisprudence) of Hambali School of thoughts, he was also expert in Hadis, theologian of Salafi School of thoughts, psychologist, and expert in Arabic languege and literature. One of his works in Arabic languege and literature. One of his works in Arabic language and literature was Qasidah Mimiyah and Qosidah Nuniyah wich consist of numerous poems. one of the poems is was al-Qalb (description of the heart). Expert in Arabic literature stated that the poem was alQalb is invaluable in the works of litarature as it fulfiills the element of critic of literature, such as : firstly the element of feeling (atifah/emotion), secondly the element of imagination (khayal/imagination), thirdly the element of idea (fikrah/idea) and fourtly the element of languege style (uslub/surah/style)

Abstract

Cultural interaction between Persia and Islam occurred through nimerous ways, such as expansion process,(expansion of region by way of invasion). Through  this process, Persia enriched the di-versity of Arabic-Islam cultures wich can be seen among others in implementation of administration of state intitutions (wizarah) wich  was unique feature of Persia during the time when Abbasid Dynasty was in reign. Relocation of Abbasid capital drom Damasqus to Baghdad and translation activities formed an intense acculturation among the two cultures wich resulted in the growth and advencement of sciences. this was incited by the development of Arabic language, both as a language of administration and languge of science.

Abstract

Feminist literary criticsm is the therm wich is used to criticize literary works through the examination of female points of view, conserns and values. it encompasses not only female literary works but also male literary works, Generally, feminist literary criticsm to counter, resist and eventually elliminate traditions and conventions of patriarchy ideology of belief system wich sees as "natural" the dominance and superiority of men over women in both private in public contexts as it exist in literary, historical and critical contexts.

Abstract

In the study of the science of nahwu and saraf (Arabic grammer) there exist two opposing schools of thoughts, namely the school of Basrah wich came earlier and the school of Kufah wich appeared after that. The school of Kufah Determine Arabic vocabularies through what they believe originated from verbs. Whereas the School of Kufah determine Arabic Vocabularies through what they have heard from their ancestors wether through poems, prose, and others thus not needing a definite principle as is adopted by the School of Basrah.

Abstract

Umru al-Qais was figure, even an icon in arabic literature in the Pre-Islamic Era (Jahiliyah) be sides al-Nabighah al-Dzubyani, Zuhair ibn Abu Sulma. Antarah ibn Saddad, and others. His compilation of poems wich is written in Diwan Umru al-Qais comprises of 3 Qasidah : the first Qasidah has 91 verses with the total of 221 verses. the theme wich is brought forward by Umru al-Qais in his Diwan are al-risa (elegy or sadness), al-ghazl (romance), al wasf (description) and al-hikmah (advice). THe themes used the rythm of bahr tawil as the bahr character is accurate and appropriate in revealing "serious" themes.
