Abstract

Paraffin is a material that is easily obtained because it is sold in supermarkets, in addition to household needs, paraffin can be used as a thermal storage material, this is because paraffin has many good properties. To find out the properties needed as heat storage material, a DSC test was performed. Based on the test results and analysis, the results show values that are almost the same as the existing references.

Abstract

Fuzzy logic is a method for mapping input to output. Fuzzy logic is used to support decision making. This method consists of three main processes, namely fuzzification, fuzzy inferential, and defuzzification. The results of this process depend on fuzzy compilation limits, fuzzy variables and non-fuzzy variables. The number of Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) series that are developing at this time with diverse specifications makes it difficult for people to make a choice when buying a DSLR camera. Everyone has criteria that are considered according to their individual needs. In principle, the existence of SPK, only as a decision support system, not replace it. Including, making decisions in the selection of a product. The results of the implementation of the fuzzy method in the case of the selection of DSLR cameras tested in 10 data using Matlab are the highest value printed on the type of Canon EOS camera with the output output = 72.6 and the camera that is not recommended is located on the type of Canon EOS 700D camera with the output output = 17.1 .

Abstract

The potential of biomass teak leaves as an alternative source of energy is so abundant, but not yet fully realized. Teak leaf is one type of biomass that can be used as an alternative fuel. The objective of this research is to determine the influence of pressure variation on the combustion characteristics of teak biobriket charcoal. Testing carried out with a variation of pressing pressure of 350 psi, 600 psi, 850 psi, 1100 psi and 1350 psi.The test results of the influence of pressure variations on the presses against the combustion characteristics of teak charcoal briquettes show that biobriket with lower dipbriglutinous pressure has the highest combustion rate of 0.0928 grams/second. The combustion temperature rate reaches 486.4 ° C and the lowest temperature is 384.3 °c. Mass reduction will be quicker if the temperature of the air flowing into the fuel chamber is higher. The decrease in mass will be faster if airflow speed is raised. Low glutinous pressure causes the fuel to be shorter in its burning time.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi di bidang manufaktur memudahkan industri untuk menghasilkan produk massal, berkualitas tinggi dan harga terjangkau. Tantangan bagi industri kecil menengah di bidang manufaktur adalah bersaing terhadap kualitas produk. Industri kecil manufaktur dalam mengendalikan kualitas produk terkendala dengan masalah keuangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik geram dan kekasaran permukaan dengan kekerasan baja karbon. Penelitian ini menggunakan mesin bubut konvensional dengan putaran rendah, kedalaman pemakanan 1 mm, proses tanpa pendinginan dengan variasi laju pemakanan 0,1 mm/putaran, 0,2 mm/putaran dan 0,3 mm/putaran, bahan uji baja AISI (1010, 1045 dan 1068) dan material pahat dari karbida. Stereoscopic Optical Microscopy (SOM) digunakan untuk mengukur sudut geser sementara Surface Roughness Tester digunakan untuk mengukur kekasaran permukaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi geram dan kekasaran permukaan berkorelasi dengan kekerasan baja karbon.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to illustrate whether training strategy in the research can increase students writing motivation and (2) to find out the advantages and disadvantages of training strategy in the research for students of Mechanical Engineering STTR Cepu. This School Action Research was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle 1 includes 2 meetings, while cycle 2 is 1 meeting. The data used in this study is qualitative data. Qualitative data is taken from observations, questions and answers, questionnaires, and product results. The data has been analyzed using the Constant Comparative Method. The findings of the study using a training strategy are: (1) increasing students writing motivation, including: a) curiosity, b) students’ effort, c) students’ perseverance, and d) students’ experience. The increase can also be shown by the average number of participants from each meeting increasing and the product results of students also increasing. There are 12 research titles and there are 2 research proposals made by participants. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the training in the preparation of research can increase students’ motivation to write.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesia has 17 diverse cultures that have been recognized by UNESCO, one of which is batik.There is recognition from UNESCO that Indonesian cultural heritage of batik may not berecognized by other countries. Batik as a cultural heritage has its own uniqueness, to maintain theuniqueness of batik, it is necessary to document batik motifs. Batik motifs can be documented bychanging batik motifs into images or images. One way to change batik motifs into images is by using optical devices such as cameras,scanners, and so on. The authenticity of batik motifs from the documentation needs to be done bydetecting the edge of the batik so that the batik motif can be maintained properly. One methodused is to use the canny method in Matlab 2013, but edge detection with canny has weaknesses inimages that have uneven gray values, so to level up the grayishness of batik it is necessary toimprove the image using the histogram equalization method. Detection of batik edges with image improvement using histogram equalization methodand canny method can improve the detection results with the number of test data 13 with a totalof batik images that can be repaired 10 batik images and 3 batik images have not been able to berepaired. The best MSE value is 0.229538 and PSNR is 54.5563. Poor value with MSE 0.676356and PSNR 49,863.
