Abstract

Abstract.Quantum Teaching is real life learning strategy with relevances social nuances. Quantum Teaching consists of four steps, namely Tumbuhkan (Motivate), Alami (Do), Namai (Symbolize), Demonstrasikan (Demonstrate), Ulangi (Repeat) (TANDUR, for short). The research purpose is to analyze thestudents learningachievement and activities. The research design is Classroom Action Research (CAR). It consists of four stages. Plan, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was done in two cycles. The result shows that the percentage of student learning achievement and activities respectively increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely 75% to83,33% and 70,27 % to 83,55%. It can be concluded that the application of Quantum Teaching with Crosswords puzzle technique can effectively improve studentlearning achievement as well as their activities. Abstract

Abstract.Polya Model is one of the problem solving model which consisting four phrases:understanding problem, devising plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The purpose of this research is to know the percentage of students’ problem solving ability on the subject of financial mathematics based on Polya model. The subject of the research is grade XI Accounting 1 and XI Marketing 1 SMKN 6 Jember. The data collection methodsused in this research are test, interview, and documentation.The result of the research showed that the percentages of students ability which is high, medium and low in problem solving on the subject of financial mathematics based on Polya model generally are 52,97%, 15,87% and 30,16%.It can be concluded that the ability of students’ problem solving based on Polya model is high enough on the subject of financial mathematics in SMKN 6 Jember. Abstract

Abstract. The research purpose is to know the process and result of development of mathematics learning instruments based on contextual teaching and learning by setting of cooperative learning two stay two stray for rectangle and square topic at seventh grade of junior high school. Learning instruments development model refers to 4D Thiagarajan models which has 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research has three products namely lesson plan, worksheet, and evaluation test. Based on validation process and tryout, it can be concluded that the learning instruments had fullfiled with validity, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract.The research aims toknow process and result of developing of mathematics learning intruments based on investigation approach and assistede-learning with LMS Moodle fortrigonometry topic at tenthgrade ofseniorhigh school. The research development modle refers to4D Thiagarajan models. The subject of research is students of X2 class SMAN Rambipuji in even semester academic year 2012-2013. The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, questionnaire, and evaluation test.Theproduct of thisresearch are lesson plan, student handbook, worksheet, evaluation test, and e-learning site.The result shows that the learning instrumentsqualifies validity, practical, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstract.Cooperative learning by using change of pairs technique is a learning model which gives chancefor thestudentstoask andstrengthentheir answerfor the exercises.This research implementscooperative learning by using change of pairs technique to reduce student’s errorin solving problems of area of trapezoid. The subject of the research is grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The type of this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection methods used in this research are observation, documentation, interview, and test. The result shows that the errors are decreasing; misused data decrease from 50% to 0%; distorted theorem or definition decrease from 59,38% to 12,5%; technical errors decrease from 61,25% to 9,34%; and other error decrease from 27,5% to 1,25%. The result also shows that the activity of the students and the teacher in teaching and learning process are increasing. KeyWords:changeofpairs technique, students error, area of trapezoid
