Abstract

Abstract. Let G=(V,E) be a simple graph, a labeling is called an edge irregular total k-labelling of G if for any two different edges e and f of G there is, . The total edge irregularity strength denoted by tes G is the smallest positive integer k for which G has an edge irregular total k-labelling. In this paper, we will determine the total edge irregularity strengths of a Snail graph, the union isomorphic and non-isomorphic union of Snail graph, and shackle graph of Snail graph. We show that , for , , for and , , for where natural numbers, and , for and Key Words: Total edge irregular labeling, Total edge irregularity strength, Snail graph.

Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to describe the students’ thinking process of 9th grade of Junior High School in solving the open problem according to their capability in solving problem based on Polya’s solution step. Data analysis is done based on written test and interview techniques. The subject of research is students of IXA class at SMPN 7 Jember in odd semester academic year 2013-2014. The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, written test, and interview techniques. Students experience disequilibrium when they don’t understand about the qestion’s sentence and when she can’t determine the ways to solve the problem, also when she can’t determine the ways to check the result that has already gotten when she does the plans. Students experience assimilation when they can mention what is known and what is asked  from the problems immediately without reck of true or false, also when  they can determine the ways to solve the problems and when they are doing the computations. Students experience accomodation when they are quiet and confuse before they can determine the problem’s condition, also when she is doing the computation and when she is quite before she can determine the ways to solve the problem. Students experience assimilation and accomodation to reach the equilibrium phase. Key Words: thinking process, open problem, and Polya’s solution step.

Abstract

Abstract. A G graph of order p and size q is called an (a,d)-edge antimagic total if there exist a bijection f: V(G)E(G) {1,2,…,p+q} such that the edge-weights, w(uv)=f(u)+f(v)+f(uv), uv E(G), form an arithmetic sequence with first term a and common difference d. Such a graph G is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices. In this paper we study super (a, d)-edge-antimagic total properties of connected PCn by using deductive axiomatic and the pattern recognition method. The result shows that a connected pentagonal chain graphs admit a super (a,d)-edge antimagic total  labeling for d = 0,1,2 for n It can be concluded that the result of this research has covered all the feasible d. Key Words: (a,d)-edge antimagic vertex labeling, super (a,d)-edge antimagic total labeling, Pentagonal Chain Graph.

Abstract

Abstract. In general, mathematics learning at schools is a teacher centered, so the students become less active in teaching-learning process. It also causes the low score of the student learning achievement. Therefore, it needs a development of learning by applying a problem posing approach in program linier topic to improve the student learning achievement of class XII A in SMA Darus Sholah 2013/2014 academic year. The research methods are documentation, observation, test and interview. The data which is analysed are teacher’s activities, students’ activities and students’ test result. Final result of this research is the increasing of students’ activities and learning in class XII A SMA Darus Sholah the improvements of students’ activities are indicated by the average score of 71,05% for the first cycle, 85,96% for the second cycle of the action research. While the students’ learning increased significantly from 52,63% in tne first cycle to 89,47% in the second cycle of action research. It can be concluded that the Problem Posing approach is effective to improve the student learning achievement of class XII A in SMA Darus Sholah 2013/2014 academic year. Key Words: activities, student learning achievement, problem posing approach, program linier.

Abstract

Abstract. One of compulsory subject taught in SMPLB-A is mathematic. Geometry is known as part of mathematic. SMPLB-A student also learn rectangle and square but there is only few media and worksheet that can make them learn independently. This research is developing a worksheet based on four-D models. The developed Braille worksheet have to satisfy validation criteria, effectiveness criteria and practicality criteria. After analize data from research process, obtained that validation average value (Va) is 3,77 which means this Braille worksheet is valid. The effectiveness criteria is obtained from student’s and teacher’s activity which indicate that the activity is satisfy ideal time, so the Braille worksheet is effective. For practicality criteria, we use questionnaire to student. From the questionnaire, value percentage reach 86,25% which indicates that the Braille worksheet at good category and satisfy the practicality criteria. After Braille worksheet fullfill the validation, practicality and efectifeness criteria, this worksheet can be disseminated to school. Key Words: blind student, Braille worksheet, 4-D models.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this study is a second semester students of Mathematics Education IKIP PGRI MADIUN with a high degree of spatial intelligence. Data collection techniques were used that method of written test and interview-based tasks. Data analysis was conducted based on data written test and interview-based tasks. Furthermore, to obtain valid data triangulation method of writing data from and interviews. This research resulted in the description of the thought processes of students with a high level of spatial intelligence in solving geometry problems. In understanding the problem using the thought process of assimilation, in a problem-solving plan to use the thinking process is less than perfect assimilation and accommodation. In implementing the plan of solving students with high spatial intelligence using the thought process of assimilation. While in checking the breakdown of students with high spatial intelligence the process of assimilation and accommodation. Keywords: thought processes, spatial intelligence, geometry problem solving.

Abstract

Abstract. An  (a, d)-edge-antimagic  total   labeling  of G  is a  one-to-one  mapping taking the vertices and edges onto {1, 2, 3, . . . , p + q} Such that the edge-weights w(uv)  = (u)+(v)+(uv), uv ∈ E(G)  form an arithmetic sequence {a, a+d, a+2d, . . . , a+ (q − 1)d}, where first term  a > 0 and  common  difference d ≥ 0.  Such a graph G is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices.  In this paper we will study a super edge-antimagic total labelings properties of connective Swn graph.   The result shows that a connected Silkworm graph admit a super (a, d)-edge antimagic total labeling for d = 0, 1, 2. It can be concluded that the result of this research has covered all the feasible n, d.   Key Words: (a, d)-edge-antimagic total labeling, super (a, d)-edge-antimagic total labeling, Silkworm graph.
