Abstract

The purposes of Prima Tani Programs are to socialize agricultural innovation and to reinforce participative rural institutions. One of the innovations from Prima Tani in Paleran village, Umbulsari sub district is hybrid rice Adirasa 1. The role of Gapoktan Eka Jaya is supplying and marketing Hybrid rice Adirasa 1 working together with associate company PT. Tri Sari Usahatani as the producer and distributor the seeds of hybrid rice Adirasa 1. The research location is determined by using purposive sampling method on Paleran village, Umbulsari sub district, Jember regency.The product of district is rice good after Prima Tani stay in Paleran. That indicator is technology adoption level of hybrid rice is better than before. The objectives of this study are to know: (1) farmers’ understanding related to Prima Tani programs; (2) technology adoption level of hybrid rice Adirasa 1; (3) farmer characteristic factors related to technology adoption level of hybrid rice Adirasa 1; (4) innovation features related to technology adoption level of hybrid rice Adirasa 1; (5) the institution role of Gapoktan Eka Jaya in supplying and marketing the rice yields with TST through Gapoktan. Abstract

Lamongan Regency is a potential area to develop the fishery industries for special is the area of embakment with the commodity of Vannamei shrimp in the Deket Subdistrict. There are some area in Deket Subdistrict with huge potential condition to cultivate Vannamei shrimp, one of them in Dinoyo Village. Dinoyo Village is the biggest producer of Vannamei shrimp and also it is easy to get the tradisional market which sell fish and Vannamei shrimp fry in order to be a potentially reason to develop the cultivation of Vannamei shrimp.Most of the resident of Dinoyo Village work as the farmer of Vannamei shrimp. However there are some problems faced by them, such as technical. Constraint like virus and the rarity of fertilizer, and also untechnical constraint like flood. This research is done to examine: the farmer’s motivation of Vannamei shrimp in Dinoyo Village, the social – economy factors which influence the income of Vannamei shrimp cultivation in Dinoyo Village, the efficiency of production expense usage in the Vannamei shrimp cultivation in DinoyoVillage.Key Words: Motivation of Shrimp, Income of Shrimp, and efficiency of production expense

Abstract

Comodities farming system is the farming system management whith a commodity whose primerly planting which coverage by the sub-systems or other commodities arranged with characteristic and specificly and integrated toward that commodity. The research location in slope of Sumbing mountain which have tobacco aromatics with high nicotin and tar. The sample are sub-village to trade off phenomena analyzes with purposive sampling and the data are intensively take in sub-village farmer with proporsion sampling. And anlysis in power function regression model.Sumbing slope land area have 2 character agroclimate. High land area have longer time harvaest commodities than midle land area and have dry season whose can not planted with economic commodities except tobacco. Phenomena of trade off on high land area not happen in changing comodities farming system but not in midle land area. The tradeoff phenomena were midle land area in changging of cabbage farming system with tobacco farming system, but not for other system. Increasing of cabbage farming system area whose indicated decreasing tobacco farming system area caused decreasing in input use by farmer on that area but not for economic produktivity land.Keywords: commodity farming system, tradeoff phenomena.

Abstract

The phenomena of modern markets make consumers have many choices of buying fruits. However, this does not reduce interest of other consumers to choose traditional market as a choice of place to buy fruits. This research is intended to identify factors that influence fruit buying in traditional market and modern market as well as the type of buying behavior in District of Kaliwates, Jember Regency. Samples were taken by using Convenience Sampling. Research data used were primary and secondary data. Data was analyzed using factorial analysis and tested by involvement inventory. The research findings showed that (1) Factors that influenced fruits buying in traditional market were location and income, motivation, fruits physical performance and price, kinds of fruits, information and fund availability, number of fruits purchased, aroma. Meanwhile, factors that influenced fruit purchase in Modern Market, were price, information, selling, location, physical performance of fruits, motivation of buying, consumers’ interests; (2) Type of fruit buying behavior in Traditional Market and Modern Market were dissonance reducing buying behavior (3) The most frequently bought fruits in “Tanjung” Traditional Market were oranges, and those in Modern Market “Matahari” Supermarket were apples.Key Words: consumers behaviors, fruit, traditional market, modern market

Abstract

The problems of the study are: (a) how the peri urban agricultural land use changes, (b) what factors influence land use cahange, (c) how the impacts of the land use changes on regional food lost, food availability, and the prospects of the farming sustainability in the peri urban area ofYogyakarta city. The objectives of the study are (a) to estimate the area and the rates of the peri urban agricultural land use change, (b) to estimate the factors influencing the land use change, and (c) to estimate the impacts of the peri urban agricultural land use change to the regional food lost, regional food availability, and the prospects of the farming sustainaibility in the peri urban area of Yogyakarta city..The data collection methods used in this study are: (a) Landsat TM satellite Images analysis, (b) digitally map overlaying on computer screen using Geographic Information System (GIS), (c) documentation of secondary data, (d) interview with quetionare as the guide, and (d) field observation. Data will be analyzed by using the mathematics, statistics, and econometrics equations specially multiple linear regression. Data will be presented as the table, diagram, curve and map.The results and conclusions of this research are (a) the changed of peri urban agricultural land use as long as 11 years from 1996-2007 are 922,17 ha in Sleman; 1.888,60 in Bantul; and 1.082,79 ha involving 47 sample of villages; the rates of land use changing is in negatif correlation with the the distance from the city, (b) the used econometric model in this research indicate a satisfaction goodness of fit with R2 of 0,895. Based on the analysis of variance, F-test, and t-test can be conclude that some factors i.e. Exhange Value of Agriculture Production (FPV), Technical Irrigated Agriculture Lands (IRG), the Precentage of Built Area to the Agriculture Lands (BCPr), People Density (Dens), Society Education (Edu), and the Agriculture Land Price (FLP) significantly influence to the rates of agriculture land changes, but the other factors i.e. the Precentage of agricultural lands to the village area (FLPr), Agriculture Lands Tax (FLT), Dummy of Bantul (DB), and Dummy of Kulon Progo (DKP) do not significantly at the α of 5-10%, and (c) the rates of agricultural lands changes have negative impacts to the regional food lost, regional food availability, and the prospects of the farming sustainability of peri urban agricultural lands. The number of regional food lost equivalent with 703,443 people, and the decreasing of regional food availability is equivalent with 572.259 people.Keywords: landsat image, land use change, overlay, peri urban

Abstract

This research aims to recognize : (a) effective of partnership Inti-Plasma pattern, (b)productivity business livestock broiler chicken partnership Inti-Plasma pattern and independent, and the factors influence. This research is done in Sleman, DIY. The like of analysis unit primary data is resulted of direct interview with one whose work is to rear cattle broiler chicken sample at 2008 – 2009 year. To recognize effective of partnership inti-plasma pattern, with the method deference of evenly test of : (1) evenly percent of production broiler chicken is sold to company with 100 percents, (2)on the average of production’s price and weft’s price, doc’s price is to be paid by company and plasma with production’s price and weft’s price, doc’s price in contract, and (3) on the average of percent of debt with is to be paid by plasma commensurate with contract. To count of the productivity, with the method to divide of the total production with the wide of stable. To calculation productivity function of business livestock broiler chicken, is used OLS method of natural equalization.The result of research show that : (a) performance of partnership ”inti-plasma” business broiler chicken livestock was effective. The condition mentioned is showed by : (1) all of production is sold to company, (2) the production price and weft price, doc price compatible with contract, and (3)evenly percent of debt is to be paid compatible with contract; (b) productivity business livestock broiler chicken for respectively one whose work is to rear cattle group are : (1) one whose work is to rear cattle plasma 15.75 kg/m2, (2) one whose work is to rear cattle independent 13.78 kg/m2,(3) one whose work is to rear cattle “plasma-inti mandiri” 15.43 kg/m2, and (4) one whose work is to rear cattle ”plasma-inti pabrikan” 16.93 kg/m2. That except, according to part, productivity business livestock broiler chicken is influenced by : (1) amount of doc (0.47458);(2) amount of weft (0.45074); (3) amount of “ovk” (0.03527); (4) age (-0.074361),(5) experience (0.0395); and wide of stable (-0.9803).Keyword : Effective, Partnership Inti-Plasma pattern, Productivity

Abstract

The scarcity of subsidized fertilizer in subdistrict of Wonosari, Bondowoso Country affects the farmer’s exertion. Agriculture product decreases and to be hopeless. By this reason, farmers suffer operating loss. This will affect the available of national food. The scarcity of subsidized fertilizer in subdistrict of Wonosari, Bondowoso Country happened on the third of seasonal planting in 2007. This research is aimed to know: (1) Scarcity factors of subsidized fertilizer; (2) The effect of the scarcity of subsidized fertilizer on the farmer’s motivation in maintaining farmer exertion; and (3) The effect of the scarcity of subsidized fertilizer on the productivity of farmer’s exertion, especially on rice plant. This research is conducted conciously (Purposive Method). It is located in subdistrict Wonosari, Bondowoso Country. The research uses descriptive and comparative method. Sample was taken by using Cluster Sampling method consisting 35 respondents. On the other hand, the researcher also used Puposive Sampling method to determine the respondents criteria. Other respondents (beyond farmer) are the commision of subsidized fertilizer’s superintendant, field instructor, legitimated kiosk of subsidized fertilizer, and distributor of subsidized fertilizer. Method the data analysis used descriptive analysis through indicators and stage test analysis of Wilcoxon. The result of the research shows that: (1) Scarcity factors of subsidized fertilizer that is the dependence of farmer on inorganic fertilizer, imbalance of fertilizer and menimizing role recommended by the goverment, extensification of area, and informal distributor of subsidized fertilizer; (2) The farmer’s motivation is still high even the subsidized fertilizer is scarce; (3) The difference of productivity of farmer’s exertion, especially on the rice farming.Key Words: Scarcity of subsidized fertilizer, motivation, productivity exertion, and farmers
