Abstract

 The problem in this research is still many students are less capable of passing on volleyball. This study aims to determine the contribution of the arm muscle strength endurance and hand-eye coordination against passing on volleyball skills. This type of research is correlational. The population in this research that students who take courses in basic volleyball as many as 142 people. Purposive sampling technique. The number of samples in this study were 30 people. To measure the strength of arm muscle endurance using a push-up tests, and eye-hand coordination using Und-Fangen Ballwerfen Test. And passing skills on using top passing skills tests. Data were analyzed by product moment correlation and followed with a double. The result showed that 1) the contribution of the arm muscle strength endurance against passing on volleyball skills, namely 15%. 2) contribution to the hand-eye coordination skills of passing on volleyball is 22%. 3) the contribution of the arm muscle strength endurance and hand-eye coordination jointly against passing on volleyball skills is 30%.

Abstract

This research aimed at developing contextual-based learning materials for local guidesat Ambengan village. It was research and development using modified Borg and Gall’s R&D model. There were eight steps conducted in order to develop the learning materials namely, need analysis, writing course grid, first draft, expert judgment, revision I, field test, revision II, and final product. From the data analysis, it was found that (i) the local guides required English learning materials which canimprove their speaking skill and help them to conduct waterfall trekking tour;(ii) The development of the materials should consider some criteria of good learning materials and follow task based model as a framework of the developed English learning materials; (iii) the developed English learning materials were categorized as excellent; and (iv) thematerials were effective in improving learners ‘speaking skill since there was an improvement from the post-test I, post-test II, post-test III.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of generative learning model on the students’ conceptual understanding on Lights subject matter. This type of research is pre experimental study with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population of this research is all students of class VIII in SMP 5 Singkawang city. The sample of the research is the students of class VIII E which amounted to 20 people and the sampling technique using simple random sampling. The research instrument used in the form of multiple choice test. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test. From the calculation results obtained value -tcalculation < -ttable ie -59,73 < -2,093, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted at the level of significance α = 0,05. So it can be concluded that there is influence of generative learning model to students’ concept understanding on lights subject matter.

Abstract

Classroom learning environment has been widely researched topics in elementary and secondary education. This study aimed to investigate teachers’ experience in building classroom learning environment. This research involved a qualitative phenomenological design that employed a purposeful sample of teachers at Junior High School Classrooms in Ponorogo.  Data were collected via in depth interviews and participant observations. In analyzing the data, the writer evaluated the interview transcriptions and the observation field notes which were organized into relevant themes (Cresswell, 2009). Most of the participants suggest that there were some meanings gotten from building students center classrooms learning environment based on constructivistics paradigm. Classroom learning environment is built psychologically and socio-culturally context. Thus students can manage, interact, and achieve their learning objectives, facilitated by learning activities based on selected materials, strategies, and media

Abstract

This study aims to develop laboratory management model based on Bali local wisdom to improve quality of laboratory service. This research is the development research by adopting of research and development model in education. Limited scale trial was conducted on 50 students from the Chemistry Department of Education, Ganesha University of Education year 2016 with a class action research model of Kurt Lewin. Fifty students were comprised of 7 groups of physical chemistry practicum and 7 groups analytical chemistry practicum. The instrument of this study was observation sheets and questionnaires. Observations and questionnaires were analyzed descriptively. Results of the study are: Bali local wisdom relating to the laboratory management, a laboratory management model based on Bali local wisdom to improve quality of laboratory service, a laboratory management model was developed very effective, the model can be applied, and the student response to the laboratory management model is very positive.

Abstract

This study aimed at developing training materials for ecotourism at Sambangan village.This research was a research and development using modified Borg and Gall design (2003). There were some steps conducted in order to develop the training materials namely; need analysis, design first draft, expert judgment, revision I, field test, revision II, and final product. There were four instruments applied to obtain the research data, observation, document study, questionnaire, and interview guide. The findings were described descriptively. The results of this study found that (i) the tour guides needed tasks-based training materials that could improve their speaking skill, (ii) developed training materials based on tasks of the members of kelompok sadar wisata had been evaluated as excellent materials, (iii) The developed training materials was readable, implementable, and measurable

Abstract

It is found that some elementary school students favor to talk and behave one of the cinema, namely "Anak Jalanan". The cinema influences the children’s character, in this case in high school classes such as imitating fashion style, speech style, even hairstyles. Such kinds of imitating are still in a good control. However, there is an increasing on fear of the worst development of moral. This research is aimed at: (1) to analyze the possibility effect of cinema on behavior changing of elementary school students in Bangkinang Kota, (2) to analyze the factors causes the changing of the character, and 3) to give the information on the importance of assisting the children while watching TV. The subjects of the research were elementary school students in Bangkinang Kota, in academic year 2016/2017. The data were collected by documentation, questionnaire, and interview guide. The findings showed that cinema Anak Jalanan have significant effect on the changing of children’s character. It is highly exoected that parents play the role of assisting the children.
