Abstract

Developing cognitive learning objectives becomes prior needs to be prepared by teachers. The aspect of early childhood education includes language development, physical-motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, religious-morality, and art. The development of cognitive aspects becomes very important in efforts to develop lesson planning, learning materials, and assessment. This study aims to produce instructional media on cognitive aspects that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood education. The instructional media was developed using the research and development design with Rowntree model. The Rowntree development model consists of 3 phases, those are planning phase, development phase, and the evaluation phase. The study was conducted involving 10 early childhood education institutions in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data was collected by documenting the learning process and utilizing rubrics for assessing the development of cognitive domain. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis to describe the quality of the products on cognitive domain in early childhood education. The results showed that the development of cognitive aspects in early childhood learning consisted of three aspects, namely aspects of learning and problem solving, aspects of logical thinking, and aspects of symbolic thinking. The development of cognitive aspects in early childhood education for children aged 5-6 years based on Anderson and Krathwohl's Taxonomy produced 18 learning objectives. On the other hand, the development of cognitive aspects in early childhood education aged 4-5 years based on the taxonomy of Anderson and Krathwohl produced 15 learning objectives. The learning objectives of the results of the development had been examined by instructional content experts, instructional design experts, and product user. The test results in the cognitive aspects of learning objectives are in the "very good" category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to help empower the atmosphere and climate of learning students who had different learning styles with the prior generation by using a digital-based instructional media such as digital flipbook. The research methods used were Research and Development, ADDIE model. Data collection obtained through interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires with direct observation. The data analysis technique used was an Independent sample test of hypothesis testing via SPSS version 26. The objects of the research were 11th grade students of Public High School 1 Dagangan, academic year 2019/2020. The results of the research development of digital flipbook learning media on the effectiveness test stage through post-test of the control class and the experimental class showed the mean difference or the average grade of the experimental class (XI Social Sciences 2) 91.6 and grade control (XI Social Sciences 1) 83.5. Thus, digital flipbook learning media that have been developed have succeeded in gaining a significant increase in students' grades as well as succeeding as delivering information media to students in the classroom.

Abstract

This article discusses the results of research on the development of conceptual models and hypothetical models of Interactive Blended Problem Based Learning (IBPBL) in Programming Language subjects for Electrical Engineering students at Universitas Negeri Padang. This model is a blended learning model that combines face-to-face learning in class and Moodle-based online learning with problem-based learning syntax in the field of Electrical Engineering. The research was carried out in three stages: (1) literature review, (2) formulation of the conceptual model, and (3) formulation of the hypothetical model. The IBPBL conceptual models consist of: (1) philosophical components: pragmatism; (2) theoretical components: cognitivism, behaviorism, constructivism, and connectivism; (3) methodological components: problem-based learning; and (4) technical components: problem-solving, cooperation, critical thinking, innovative, creative and systematic. The hypothetical model is based on students' ability to solve problems critically, creatively, collaboratively, systematically by utilizing the various advantages possessed by face-to-face and online learning in Programming Language courses. Model validation is done using expert judgment. The expert assessment assessed the IBPBL model in three aspects, namely: (1) component sufficiency, (2) content, and (3) ease of implementation.
