Abstract

Have been done by research of action Class to increase result and motivation learn Biology byapplying model study of type co-operative Jigsaw III at class student one SMAN 4 Pekanbaru in apriluntil mei 2004. The research subject is class student 17 with amount 43 people. Parameter themeasured is result learn student, complete learn, activity learn motivation and student learn. Resultlearn cycle of 17 mean 74.23 % mounting, at cycle II mean 80.35 %. Complete learn cycle of I is 76.74% (is not complete), at cycle of II is 93.02 % (is complete), for the activity of student at group comefrom at cycle of I mean 75.12 % and mount to become 85.47 % at cycle of II. Activity expert group55.47% at cycle of I and 64.52% at cycle of II. Motivation learn student biology at cycle student of Inatural is make-up of with percentage mean of is make-up of motivation 35.77% and mean score 2.80.At cycle of II natural is make-up of with percentage mean is make-up of motivation 8.10% and meanscore 3.03. From result of research can be concluded that applying of study of type co-operative ofJigsaw III can improve result, motivation and activity learn class student 17 SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The research on diversity of protecting plant at Pekanbaru city had carried out on six main roads. Thestudy had been done with survey methods by transect. One main road is a transect that divide into someintervals 100 meter each ones. Data collecting are diameters of breath high and cover of a tree is length oftransect that intercepts by cover of each ones. Parameters are Density, Relative Density, Frequency,Relative Frequency, Dominancy, Relative Dominancy, Coverage, Importance Value and Diversity Index.Another data that collecting are air temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, particulate contents inleaf surface. The results in this research that protecting plants at Pekanbaru city include 13 species eith 8family, that dominance with Pterocarpus indicus, Swietenia mahagoni and Acacia mangium. Diversityindex each location 0.692-1.641, density 1.583-6.6 trees/100 meter length of roads and coverage of trees7.285-30.341 meters/100 meters length of roads. Particulate contens are 0.219-0.580 mg/cm2 of leafsurface.

Abstract

The research is using the implementation of artificial neural network (ANN) to identify the type of coral from digitalimage. An ANN is an information-processing system that has certain performance characteristics in cnmon withbiological neural networks. ANN have been developed as general izatons of mathematical models of neural biology,input to ANN are color and shape information from image. For the extraction of the information, the methods ofimage processing is used which are RGB and HSV color model and moment invarian for shape.

Abstract

This is an experimental research using Problem Based Learning as a treatment. The objectiveresearch is identiI the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning on mathematics achievement.Sample of 196 lower secondary student in Pekanbaru were used in the studies. The two treatmentgroup are from Madrasyah Tsanawiyah with 60 student in each group. The controlled consist of 76students from Junior High School. The first treatment Group using Problem Based Learning with‘media ceker’ While the second treatment Group using treatment Problem Based Learning with ‘lognumber line’. The control group is using a conventional teaching and learning method. There aremathematics achievement test. The research shows that the Problem Based Learning treatment moreeffectiveness on mathematics achievement than conventional learning. The Problem Based Learningimplicate that student active involvement in learning to solve problem will improve theirmathematics achievement effectively.

Abstract

This research for destination to know quality well water in Pekanbaru city based on sum bacteria coilform fecaland coliform non fecal on July until December of 2007 in Biologi laboratory FKIP UNRI. Take sample carryout way purposive random sampling in all 12 subdistrict there are in Pekanbam city, are Sukajadi subdistrict,Tenayan Raya, Rumbai, Marpoyan Damai, Tampan, Bukit Raya, Rumbai pesisir, Pekanbaru city, Senapelan,Sail, Payung Sekaki and Lima Puluh. Every subdistrict decide 3 lacated, take sample well with judgmentdistance place/located well from resources pollution and activity society, is : Take well water from houses tolocated neared with market (0-500 m), take well water from houses located near with Siak River and Sail River(0-500 m) and take well water from house located far from marke and River (>500 m). Procedur researchconsist of: 1) stage production medium is medium is medium kaldu laktosa (lactosa broth) and medium brilliantgreen lactose bile broth (BGLBB), 2) investigation sample with test MPN (Most probable numbu)/JPT (totalapproximation neared). Data result research analysis like descriptive, based on standardization quality watergroup B about rules quality water group B about rules quality clean water by minister of public health regulationRI No. 416/minester of public health/Per/lx/1990. From result research can conclusion that well water inpekanbaru city be pregnant coliform fecal revolve between 4,7 cell bacteria/100 ml-26,7 cell bacteria/l00 ml andcoliform non fecal revolve between 49,7 cell bacteria/100 ml- 172.7 cell bacteria/l00 ml, untill well water inPekanbaru city quality less good for used as resources clean water because already pass by maximum fromwater group B.

Abstract

Cooling and Trapping neutral particles or ions using laser beam becomes a new research field inPhysics. This field was started in 1970’s by Ashkin who demonstrated that a focused laser beam ondielectric particles in a glass cell can attract the particles to the focal area because the potenstialenergy there is lower. Cooling which means to reduce the average thermal velocity of atoms orparticles and trapping which means controlling the positions of the atoms can be performed using twokinds of forces from Laser beam i.e. scattering force and gradient force. A scattering force is resultedfrom the laser beam because the laser beam contains fotons which have momentum. The gradientforce appears because of the gradient of intensity around focal area. One of famous atom traps isMagneto-Optical Trap (MOT). MOT uses Doppler effect for cooling and Zeeman effect for trappingWith this technique, cold atoms with temperature in the order of mikro Kelvin can be produced. Coldatom can be used for many applications such as to make Bose Einstein Condensate (BEC), atominterfermetry and atomic clocks.

Abstract

This research produced bi isel from Crude Pin 0 (çPQ) and ccdensate waste which their productionsincreased every year. Biodiesel was friendly to environment and it could be directly used on dieselengines. Biodiesel was produced with transesterification reaction between triglycerides and methanol,and it was added with catalyst of NaOCH3. This research resulted that biodiesel produced from CPOapproached standard characteristic: density of 0.8613 gr/nil and viscosity of 5.4474 cP. Then,biodiesel produced from mixture between condensate waste and CPO was far enough from standardcharacteristic.

Abstract

Have been studied biologis activity test and sitotoxic test of jatropha multida leaf extract . Extractionhave been done with heksane, ethyl acetate and methanol. Activity test with diffusion methode andsitotoxic test with Brine Shrimp Lethality Test method use Artemia salina species.Heksane exstract obtained 2 pure compounds, Jm 1 with meldng point 73-75 °C and 3m 2 withmelting point 163-164 °C. Extract etylacetate and methanol have been yet obtained pure compound.Biologis activity test showed all of extract negatif to micro organisme test. Sitotoxic test showedmethanol and hexane extract negative to anemia sauna species and ethyl acetate extract have beencharacter of toxic to Anemia sauna species at the price of LC5O =52 ppm.
