Abstract

Plantation commodities that are capable of supporting the establishment of some industries are coconut trees (Cocos nucifera L). Coconut has a broad usability as a raw material for other than food and non food industries as well as household consumption. Utilization of coconu not only as coconut oil but there are several other coconut products sale in the international trade market, such as grated coconut, fresh coconut, coconut charcoal, coconut sugar and coconut oil known as Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The purpose of this study was to analyze: (i) the total cost of production, (ii) the amount of physical production, (iii) the selling price, and (iv) the amount of revenue that the UKM pengais Jaya Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) received, so business can achieve break-even point. The study location and sampling was determined by intentionally (purposive) by the leaders of UKM PengaisJaya Virgin Coconut Oil scavengers in the Ampibabovillage. The analytical tool used in this research was the analysis of break-even point. The results showed that the highest break-even point achieved at the product Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) obtained from the sale of product for 1000 ml bottle was Rp. 4,121,007, or approximately 50.64 %, on the second level obtained in bottles of 500 ml equal to Rp 2,409,605 or approximately 29.61 %, and the smallest revenue obtained in the packaging of 250 ml, only of Rp . 1,606,40 or approximately 19.74%.

Abstract

Cocoa is one of the plantation commodity which have a significant role in the national economy. This role can provide employment, income and foreign exchange. The purpose of this study was to ( i ) determine how the characteristics of cocoa farmers in the Buranga village Sub District Ampibabo District Parigi Moutong, (ii ) analyze the income of cocoa farming, and ( iii ) to determine the level of sensitivity of the income of cocoa farmers in the Buranga village Sub District Ampibabo District ParigiMoutong. Study location determinedintentionally (purposive). Determination of the respondents conducted by simple random method with 30 respondents. The analytical tool used in this research was the farm income analysisand sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the cocoa farm income on average Rp.10.271.755,56/ha. Results of iteration prices riseof cocoacounted by 5 % gives rise profit of Rp . 653,459.26 / Ha. On the other hand,decrease variable costs increaseprofit by Rp . 137,296.30ha. An increase in the price of cocoa by 15 % gives profit to riseby Rp .1,960,377.77/ha. On the other hand,decreasedvariable costs by 15 % increase the profits of Rp .411,888.89/ha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the affect of land area, seed, fertiliser and labor to the local Palu onion production in the village Oloboju Biromaru Sigi Sub District Sigi District andthe incomes of local Palu onion farming at village Oloboju Sub Biromaru Sigi District Sigi. Respondents used in this study were 30 respondents or 13.82 % of the 217 households that farming oflocal Palu onion by using simple random sampling. The analysis showed that the simultaneously land area factor (X1), seeds (X2), fertilizer (X3) and labor (X4) very significant effect on farm production local Palu onion farming, with an F-count > F- table ( 299.354 > 2.76 ) at the α level of 5 % signicancy. The test results show that the t-test was highly significant on land area with t-> t -table (8.098 > 2.756), the seed was highly significant with  t-count > t-table (5.869 > 2.756), fertilizer was highly significant with t-count > t -table (3.978 > 2.756) and a significant on labor with t --count > t -table (2.836 > 2.756), respectively at the 1 % level α. The revenue analysis results showed that the average income of the respondent of Local Palu onion farmers Oloboju village in single growing season was Rp 59.913.000/ 0,67 ha or Rp89.511.454/ha.
