Abstract

The research aimed to discover the response of growth and production of two mustard varieties on substrate hydroponic system and the concentration of AB Mix solution on each variety. The research was conducted in January to March 2016, in Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University by using Split Plot Design. The main plot was Tosakan and Shinta varieties, while the subplot was concentration of AB Mix nutrient solution, such as 4 ml/L of water, 5 ml/L of water, 6 ml/L of water and 7 ml/L of water. The research shows that nutrient solution is very good generally to support the production of mustard on a hydroponic substrate. Tosakan variety has better response than Shinta variety. Varieties and concentration of nutrion solution have interaction, the concentration of nutrient solution that was good for Tosakan variety is 6 ml/L, it was represented  by the leafs number were more in all plants age, the its leafs were wider, canopy and root (fresh and dry)  were heavier, while Shinta variety of the concentration of nutrient solution 4-7 ml / L resulted the production were not significantly different. Key Words: Mustard, nutrient solution, substrate hydroponic.

Abstract

 Purple blotch disease ( A. porri ) is to known as a main disease on onions it has becomes  and has become endemic in central planting and it creates a lot of financial lose to farmer. Using neem leaf as a potential alternative pesticide can control the purple blotch on onion. The aim of this research was to determine the inhibition of neem leaf extract toward of fungal pathogens A. porri. This research was conducted in Laboratory of Plant Diseases Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University Central Sulawesi Palu. This research was conducted on August until November 2015. Method of this research was mixing neem leaf extract concentrate of  0.4% , 0.6% , 0,8% and 1% into the PDA. Results of this research show that neem leaf extract which is concentrate 1% more effective to press the inhibitory growth of A. porri was 43.33%.    Key Words : A. porri, neem leaf extract, purple blotch.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the income of corn farming system in Labuan Toposo village, Labuan Sub-District of Donggala District. This research located in Labuan Toposo Village, Labuan Sub-District of Donggala District and conducted from March to May 2015. Respondents were chosen using a Simple Random Sampling technique.  The number of the respondents was 34 people selected from 150 corn farmers.  Data was analyzed using the Income analysis. The research results showed that the production of the corn farming system is IDR 3,932/kg per  one planting season and the average revenue is IDR 15,729,412/ha.  With the average total cost of IDR 9,788,062, the average income of the corn farmer is IDR 5,941,350/ha. Key Word : Corn, farming, and income.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the type and composition as well as the interaction of inorganic fertilizers (NPK) and organic fertilizers (piles of chicken) to the N uptake in entisols Sidera. This study uses a randomized block design (RBD), which consisted of 9 treatments were repeated 3 times so that there 27 experimental units. The treatment consisted of control and 2 types of fertilizers inorganic fertilizers doses of 150 kg/ha, inorganic fertilizer dose of 300 kg/ha of organic fertilizer dose 10 ton/ha and a dose of organic fertilizer 40 ton/ha. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance to determine the effect between treatments. If the results of analysis of variance showed a significant effect, then tested further by using 5% honest significant difference (HSD 5%). The results showed that administration of inorganic fertilizer (NPK) dose of 300 kg/ha significantly increased uptake of nitrogen to crops, organic fertilizer (piles of chicken) dose 40 ton/ha very significantly increased uptake of nitrogen and no significant interaction between the treatment of inorganic fertilizers (NPK) and organic puopuk (piles of chicken) on plant nitrogen uptake of onion (Allium ascalonicum L.). Key Words: Entisol Sidera, Onion, nitrogen uptake.

Abstract

Cocoa is one of the national commodity and plays an important role for the economy of Indonesia, especially in terms of farmer’s income and source of foreign exchange Cocoa seeds are recalcitrant i.e. prone to drought, sensitive to temperature and humidity. Cacao seeds have no dormancy, low storage capacity and sensitive to environmental changes. This study aimed to determine soaking time periods and concentration of gibberellin (GA3) for best cocoa seed viability. The study was conducted in the Seed Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University from March to April 2016.  It was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with two factors. The first factor is the time length of soaking i.e. 2 h, 4 h, and 6 h while the second factor is the concentration of gibberellins i.e. 5 ppm, 10 ppm, and 15 ppm. Thus there were 9 treatment combinations and replicated 3 times resulting in 27 experimental units where each unit consisting of 20 grains of seed.  Data was analyzed using Variance Analysis and then continued with the Honestly Significant Difference if there is a significant effect.  The research results showed that the interaction effect between the length of time and the gibberellin concentrations is significant on root length but not significant on germination rate and root volume. Key Words : Soking time, and gibberellin concentration.

Abstract

Indonesia was a country which located at kebayoran the equator and tropics and two seasons. Variegated plants can grow well, in various areas there were plants which can be used as a source of oil producer volatile is no exception in central Sulawesi that is one producer cloves who leaves are a raw materials making volatile oil. Village Palau who is located in Kecamatan Balaesang Tanjung Donggala is one of the villages there is a oil production volatile leaves cloves. The purpose to be achieved in this study is to find the income from income home industry the distillation of volatile oil of the leaves cloves in the village of Palau. The location of this research ditentuan deliberately and implemented from home industry the distillation of volatile oil of the leaves cloves located in the village of Palau, Tanjung sub-district Balesang, Donggala, central Sulawesi province. The number of respondents in research are always two people namely business owners and employees to your production. An instrument the analysis used is an analysis of income. Based on the results of the data analysis and discussion then obtained a conclusion that is flattened income per month home industry volatile oil of the leaves cloves for five months the production process in the village of Rp. 5.450.654 Palau. The average oil production per month as many as 287.8 Kg. Key Words: Income , Home Industry, Volatile Oil Of The Leaves Cloves.
