Abstract

This research aimed to identify the effect of different rates of chicken manure on phosphorous uptake (P) and cauliflower yield in Oxic dystrudepts of Lemban Tongoa. This research was aranged a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with the chicken manure  rates as the treatments i.e. control or with no chicken manure added, 10 t ha-1, 15 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, 25 t ha-1, 30 t ha-1, and 35 t ha-1. Each treatment was replicated three times, there were 21 experimental units. The result of research showed that adding chicken manure can increase plant uptake of P, this is in line with the significantly increasing plant dried weight and phosphor concentration in the plant tissue. The addition of chicken manure can increase pH (H2O), C-organic content, P-total and P-available but decrease Al-exchangeable.

Abstract

This study aim was to determine consumer behavior in making decision for the consumption of Banua chocolate product at Sa?adah Agency Industry in Palu City during October to December 2014. The study location and respondents were purposively determined.  There were 33 respondents selected. Data used were primary and secondary information. This research used Chi Square method to analyze the data. The study results showed that the financial performance of Banua Chocolate is good based on the values of X2count > X2table.   The taste quality had the value of 18.2 > 9.49, the price had that of 22.4 > 9.49, the grade had that of 27.8 > 9.49,  the job status had that of 19.8 > 9.49, and the kind of chocolate had that of 6 < 9.49. The consumers of the chocolate mostly are students and only few are workers.

Abstract

Research on the analysis of the income of farming next to the dial plan in the village of cocoa in Sidole subdistrict of  Ampbabo regency of Parigi Moutong aim to wished how much big find out the income side grafting for cocoa farmers in the village of Sidole sub-district of Ampibabo regency of Parigi Moutong with used formula ? = TR - TC. Data collection was carried out in January-Maret 2014. The calculation result analysis revenue the cocoa farming connect side in the village of Toliba showed that the average reception in received by farmers respondents in one multiply season crop aqualto Rp 7.662.418 /2,10 ha, or Rp Rp 4.370.000 /1,00 ha, while the average total cost incurred during the year amounted to Rp 5.032.525 /2,10 ha, or Rp 2.597.070 /1,00 ha, so that the average farmer's income in one multiply season crop aqualto Rp 2.629.893 /2,10 ha,, or $1.772.930 /1,00 ha. Thereby, you can assume that the use of the cocoa to increase farmer income and in order to improve the welfare of society especially for farmers cocoa.

Abstract

The research was conducted at Bulu Pounto Jaya, Biromaru sub District, Sigi District, Central Sulawesi Province from August to November 2014. This research aimed to determine the effect of mulch and liquid organic fertilizer types on growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Lembah Palu varieties. The design used in this research was a two factorial randomized block design (RAK).  The first factor was application of mulch (M) i.e. M0 = no mulching, M1 = silver black plastic mulching, M2 = rice straw mulch and the second factor was the application of liquid organic fertilizer i.e. F1 = once application (7 days after planting-WAP), F2 = twice applications (7, 14 DAP), F3 = thrice applications (7, 14, 21 DAP). Therefore, there were nine combinations of treatments and replicated three times. The results showed that the type of mulch (M) affected significantly the components of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, and tuber fresh weight. The liquid organic fertilizer treatment (F) had a significant effect on the components of leaf area and plant fresh weight. The rice straw mulch (M2) produced higher growth than the silver black plastic mulch (M1) and without mulch (M0). While the liquid organic fertilizer applied three times (F3) produced higher yield than the other applications. There was significant interaction effect between the two factors on leaf area components.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the Village Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru Sub-District, Sigi District starting September to December 2014. The study was carried out to study and determine the effect of the percentage of shading on the growth and yield of tomato plants as well as a shading that is most appropriate percentage for the growth and yield of tomato plants. This research was conducted by using a randomized block design (RBD) with the percentage of shading consists of 6 level treatments, N0 = no shading,  N1 = 10% shade, N2 = 20% shade, shade N3 = 30%, N4 = 40 shade, shade N5 = 50%. Each treatment was repeated three times so that there are 18 experimental units. The results showed that the various shading percentages significant effect on the plant height, number of leaves, the emergence of flower, fruit number and fruit weight of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). The best growth and yield of tomato were treater with 30 % shade.

Abstract

This report aims to review the marketing tomatoes and large margin marketing obtained marketing each institution in every - for the marketing, knows part of prices received by farmers ( producers ) in every for marketing channel tomatoes, knows efficiency marketing tomatoes in the village labuan toposo in labuan.This research carried out in villages labuan toposo in labuan sub district donggala.Get as 30 respondents 50 farmers in a random sample of simple ( simple random sampling ).In addition, determine respondents traders used method of poll respondents ( tracing sampling ) with, take trader as many as 2 people and traders as many as the retailer 2.The total cost as much as 34  respondents.The results of the analysis showed that the total the margin marketing tomato obtained to channel first Rp 1,000 and total the margin marketing tomato obtained to channel both the Rp 2,000.Part the prices received by farmers of the i of 60 % and parts of the prices received by farmers of the ii of 66,67 %.Thus, part the price the greatest received by farmers is on channels two.Marketing outlets tomatoes origin village labuan toposo there are two channel viz: (1) farmers                                                                                                     intermediary         traders a retailer         consumers.(2) farmers         traders a retailer consumers.The first the efficiency of the to intermediary traders of 7,23 %, and traders a retailer of 11,12 % and channel score efisinsinya of 9,20 %.Of two channels marketing the tomatoes, marketing outlets efficient is a conduit second.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effect of tuber size and rates of K fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot (var. Lembah Palu). The site of this research was in Guntarano village, Tanantovea  Sub District of Donggala District.  This research began from June 2013 to August 2013. A randomized block design was used in this research which used two factors namely tuber size  and rates of Kalium. The tuber size consisted of two levels, small tuber (U1= 1.7-2.3g tuber-1) and large tuber (U2= 2.4-3.0 g tuber-1). The K fertilizer consisted of four rates i.e. 100 kg ha-1 K2O  (K1), 150 kg ha-1 K2O (K2),  200 kg ha-1 K2O (K3), and 250 kg ha-1 K2O (K4). The research treatments were replicated three times. This research  showed that the tuber size significantly affected all growth and yield parameters except plant height. The large tubers resulted in better growth than the small tubers. While K rates showed significant effect on all growth and yield parameters except shoot numbers. The K fertilizer applied at the rate of 100 kg ha-1 and 250 kg ha-1 showed greater yield than the others. There was an interaction effects between tuber size and the rates of K fertilizer for all growth and  yield parameters, except leaf number, shoot number and tuber diameter. The small tuber size applied with 100 kg K ha-1 and the large tuber size applied with 250 kg K ha-1 vindicated greater growth and production of shallot plant (var. Lembah Palu).

Abstract

This research consisted of two stages.The first stage aimed to find out the best weight of cocoa pod husk powder used in the manufacture of instant beverages of functional cocoa pod husk. The results of antioxidant capacity and total phenol analysis suggested that the use of dried cocoa pod husk with ethanol as the solvent has the highest level of both antioxidant capacity and total phenols. The second stage aimed to find out the levels of total phenols and antioxidant capacity of the instant beverages made from various extracts of cocoa pod husk. This study used a Completely Randomized design (CRD) with four levels of cocoa pod husk weight i.e. 5 g, 10 g, 15 g and 20 g as the treatments.   Maltodextrin (20 g) and sucrose (10 g) were added during the process of concentrating the instant beverage. The use of 20 g cocoa pod husk resulted in highest total phenol and antioxidant capacity. Best concentration of total phenol and antioxidant are produced from 10 g cacao pod husk extract.  Therefore, this extract is used as a guide in making instant drinks.

Abstract

This study aim was to determine the value added derived from green beans when processed into pia cakes at An-Nur Home Industry in Palu. The location was purposely chosen with the consideration that the home industry was the central production of pia cakes. Respondents in this study were the leader and three employees of the home industry which address is BTN Palupi Block I1 No. 12 South Palu Sub District of Palu. Primary and secondary data collected were analyzed using value added analysis according to Hayami method.  The research results showed that the value added generated by the home industry was IDR 76,091.67 kg-1 with the value added ratio of 72%.  This value indicates that for every IDR 100 of the pia product value increase will result in the value added of IDR 72.

Abstract

This research consisted of two stages, the first stage aimed to determine the best type of liquid organic fertilizer which can be used in fertilizing of tomato plants. The second stages aimed to determine the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer which can be applied to tomato plants. This research aimed to investigate the responses of tomato plant (Solanum licopersicum Mill.) in terms of its production and quality with the addition of two types of liquid organic fertilizers at different concentrations. This research used a Randomized Completely Block design (RAB) with seven treatments replicated four times.  The largest tomato fruit production was found in the organic fertilizer treatment of gremont at concentration of 2.4 ml / 80 ml water, whereas the effect on the quality of the tomato such as average tomato fruit diameter and Vitamin C content was not significant.
