Abstract

This study aims to determine Erosion Danger Index (IBE) on multiple use of land in the village Malei. This research was conducted in the village of Malei, District Balaesang Tanjung, Donggala and Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako. This research was conducted in October 2014 to January 2015. This study used survey methods, primary and secondary data collection, implementation of research in the form of preparation, research and data processing. Analysis of existing data is done by using the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) equation A = RKLSCP and erosion are allowed (T), using the equation Erosion Danger Index IBE = A / T. The results showed that generally palm plantations, cloves, and nutmeg has a value of Erosion Danger Index (IBE) moderate (> 1) 1.6 up to 3.56, except on land with a slope clove 0 -15% have values that IBE Low and forest lands 0.007 to 0.04.

Abstract

The aims of this experiment were to obtain the best concentration of HCl and the optimum length of boiling time in producing liquid sugar from cacao pod husk. Analysis of data of extracted cellulose (Phase I) used completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 3 NaOH concentrations tested namely : 10%, 12% and 14%. Each treatment was replieated 4 times, and therefore there were 12 experimental units used. Analysis of variance showing significant or highly significant effects were subsequently analysed by HSD at 5% or 1%, respectively. Experimental design used in the hydrolysis of cellulose (Phase II) was randomized block design (RBD) with four levels of hydrochloric acid (HCl) tested, namely: K1 = 1%; K2 = 1.5%; K3 = 2% and K4 = 2.5%. Treatments were grouped based on the length of pod husk cellulose hydrolysis time in hydrochloric acid solution, namely R1 = 2 hours, R2 = 4 hours, R3 = 6 hours, R4 = 8 hours, R5 = 10 hours and R6 = 12 hours. Each treatment was replicated three times in each group, and therefore there were 72 experimental units observed. Analysis of variance showing significant or highly significant effects were subsequently analysed by HSD at 5% or 1%, respectively. The best NaOH concentration was obtained at 12% and the optimum length of boiling time was 8 hours.Key Words: Cacao pod husk, cellulose, Hydrochloric acid.

Abstract

This study has the objective of was to determine the physical characteristics of the soil the upstream watershed (DAS) of Wunosection. This research is as a source of information for the development of land in particular areas of land use, land evaluation, as well as soil and water conservation. Map of slope class, soil maps and land use maps is the overlapping join with using ArcGIS 10.0, thus it obtained six units of land covering the use of forest land (8-15%), forest (15-25%), forest (>40%), shrubs (8-15%), shrubs (>40%)  and cocoa farm. Soil sampling is done randomly on each unit of land, taken three samples except on forest land with a slope (>40%) for each of the undisturb and disturbed soil samples. The results showed that the physical characteristics of the soil on wuno watershed, vary greatly with weight of volume from low to high, the permeability is slow, fast to very fast, Porosity relatively low until high, soil texture dominated by the sand fraction and dust with texture classes clay dusty, and organic matter content is low to moderate.

Abstract

The aims of the study were to determine the existence and the number of spores, and         to determine the characteristics of spores morphology of arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi. The study was conducted on July to September 2015. Method used in this study was a descriptive explorative method with the purposive sampling to take a sample of the soil. While the process of this study covering : to get  permission used of location, field collection data, determination point to take soil sample, taking soil sample, analysis of the soil characteristics was done Laboratory, isolation of AMFspores and identification morphology of AMFspores. The results of the research showed thatthe highest spores population found in the onion rhizosfer, that were 344 spores / 10 g soil, while the lowest number of spores found in the tomatoes rhizosfer that were14 spores / 10 g soil. The characteristics of morphology AMFspores found were a round, oval and elips. The colour of spores ranging from the clear, yellow to brown and orange. Key Words : Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi, horticulture, identification, isolation.

Abstract

This research aim is to know the characteristics of soil physic on some land use system in oloboju village sigi district of Sigi Biromaru. The research has done on the Sigi 6 units of rice field, the dry field and mixed farm with the slope of 0-8% and 8-15%. Soil analysis has in soil science Laboratory, Faculty Of Agriculture, University Tadulako. The research was done on March until May 2016. Determination of soil sample Location taken for analyse laboratory determined in the Purposive Sampling so that it sets 18 sample poin. Soil sample was taken as much as 3 replications for every land use. The result of research showed that soil physical from oloboju on 6 unit land with different land slope have different soil physical, soil characteristics dominated by texture the faction of dust and sand, with the soil texture are silt loam, moderate organic matter, moderate bad, permeability, porosity, field capacity and saturated water were low until high, liquid limitation and plasticity were moderate until high. The characteristic of the soil on 6 land units, in general, determined by texture and organic matter.

Abstract

The purposes of the research wereto determine the revenue, the expended cost, and the number of products at breaking event point, and to determine the margin of safety (MoS) for sustaining profit in honey bee ‘Jaya Makmur’ farming of Jono Oge village, Sigi Biromaru sub district, Sigi district.  It was carried out in June to July 2015 with two respondent who was the owner and a worker of the farming.  The research showed that the revenue generated were IDR 2,860,000/month for a bottle of 850 ml honey with the production cost of IDR 1,684,267/month and the profit of 1,175,733/month; and IDR 3,055,000/month for a bottle of 400 ml honey with the production cost of IDR 1,699,130/month and the profit of 1,355,870/month.  The break event point achieved were 11bottles for the 850 ml product at the price of IDR 130,000/bottle and the sold price of IDR 1,495,000/month; and 23 bottles for  the 400 ml product at the price of IDR 65,000/bottle and the sold price of IDR 1,430,00/month.  The MoS were 50% for the 850 ml product and 51% for the 400 ml product indicating that the maximum disparity limit for decreasing sale permitted for both products is not larger than the MoS ratio at the level of sale expected in July. Keywords: Analysis Of  Break Event Point, Budidaya Lebah Madu, and Jono Oge Viilage,

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know (1) how big does the farmer income of coconut in the Village of Dondo, Ampana District, Tojo Una-Una Regency, (2) The feasibility of the farming of Coconut in The Village of Dondo, Ampana District, Tojo Una-Una Regency. The research was carried out in The Village of Dondo, Ampana District, Tojo Una-Una Regency in April to June 2016. 30 farmer respondents were taken from the total population of as many as 96 farmers by using the method of simple random sampling. The analysis showed that the income obtained by   the farmer of coconut in the Village of Dondo, Ampana District, Tojo Una-Una Regency is          Rp. 5.728.724, 92, the average acceptance of the farmer of coconut obtained once in 4 (four) months, or by Rp. 1.432.181, 23 every month. It is still relatively small compared with Central Sulawesi Minimum Regional Salary in the year 2016 of Rp. 1.670.000 every month. This means that the coconut farmers in The Village of Dondo need to find other revenue outside the farming in order to meet the needs of life and his family. The value of the farming of coconut in The Village of Dondo, Ampana District, Tojo Una-Una Regency is equal to 2,57, this value obtained from the division between income and the total cost. The value 2,57 means that every additional Rp. 1 the cost can generate revenue amounting to Rp. 2,57, this meant the farming coconut in the Village of Dondo is appropriate to be cured Keywords: Coconut, feasibility, income.
