Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in peer acceptance based on gender of private junior high school students in the city of Padang, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The number of subjects involved in this study were 146 private junior high school students consisting of 73 male and 73 female students. The sampling technique in this study used cluster sampling which was taken based on the sub-districts in the city of Padang. Peer acceptance of students is measured using a peer acceptance scale. The results of this study are that there are differences in peer acceptance between male students and female students which indicates that female students have a higher level of peer acceptance than male students. Female and male students had the highest peer acceptance aspect scores on validation and caring aspects (mean=23.59 and mean=21.53). The lowest aspect score for female students was intimate exchange (mean=20.51), while the lowest aspect for male students was conflict and betrayal (mean=18.12).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peer acceptance siswa SMP Swasta kota Padang berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Jumlah subjek yang terlibat pada penelitian ini adalah sejumlah 146 siswa SMP Swasta yang terdiri dari laki-laki 73 orang dan perempuan 73 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan cluster sampling yang diambil berdasarkan kecamatan yang ada di kota Padang. Peer acceptance siswa diukur dengan menggunakan peer acceptance scale. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peer acceptance antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta di kota Padang. Siswa perempuan memiliki tinggat peer acceptance yang lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki. Siswa perempuan dan laki-laki memiliki skor aspek peer acceptance tertinggi pada aspek validation and caring (mean=23,59 dan mean=21,53), skor aspek terendah pada siswa perempuan adalah intimate exchange (mean=20,51), dan siswa laki-laki memiliki aspek terendah pada conflict and betrayal (mean=18,12).

Abstract

Empowerment is very important to improve the quality and quantity of the economy, social and education of the Madurese people. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods in the data collection process. The instrument in this research is the researcher himself, so that the researcher must have sufficient knowledge and insight. Data collection techniques used unstructured interviews, participant observation and technical documentation of data analysis using Cresswell’s approach. The results of the study show that empowerment from the economic sector is obtained. The community needs to obtain venture capital. Making public infrastructure and facilities must be of high quality, so they don’t break down quickly. There is training to teach entrepreneurship. The policies made by the kingdom are in accordance with the needs of the community, namely welfare. Government intervention in determining prices and processing of agricultural products must be carried out. Continuous assistance to become professional. Empowerment from the education sector is obtained, school curricula are made by involving experts. Educational programs focus on quality, collaborative and competitive. There needs to be guidance and evaluation. Collaboration between universities and government. Families need to be motivated to send their children to the highest level of education. Women need to get a chance. Empowerment from the social sector is obtained, Madurese people do not need to be afraid of different criticisms. Politics doesn’t have to be expensive. Getting used to quality life must start from the family environment. There is a collective awareness to move forward together.Pemberdayaan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitias dan kuantitas ekonomi, sosial dan pendidikan masyarakat Madura. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam proses pengambilan data. Instrument dalam penelitian ini ialah peneliti sendiri, sehingga peneliti harus memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan yang memadai. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara tidak terstruktur, observasi partisipan dan dokumentasi teknis analisis datanya menggunakan pendekatan dari Cresswell. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahawa pemberdayaan dari sektor ekonomi diper oleh Masyarakat perlu mendapatkan modal usaha. Pembuatan infrastruktur dan fasiliti umum harus berkualiti, biar tidak cepat rusak. Ada pelatihan untuk mengajarkan berwirausaha. Kebijakan yang dibuat kerajaan sesuai dengan keperluan masyarakat yaitu kesejahteraan. Intervensi pemerintah dalam menentukan harga dan pengolahan hasil pertanian harus dilakukan. Pendampingan berkelanjutan hingga menjadi professional. Pemberdayaan dari sektor pendidikan diperoleh, kurikulum sekolah dibuat dengan melibatkan ahli. Program pendidikan focus kepada kualitas, kolaboratif dan kompetitif. Perlu adanya bimbingan dan evaluasi. Kolaborasi antara universitas dan pemerintah. Keluarga perlu mendapat motivasi untuk menyekolahkan anak ke level tertinggi. Perempuan perlu mendapatkan kesempatan. Pemberdayaan dari sektor sosial diperoleh, masyarakat Madura tidak perlu takut dengan perbedaan kritikan. Berpolitik tidak harus dengan biaya mahal. Membiasakan hidup berkualitas harus di mulai dari lingkungan keluarga. Ada kesadaran kolektif untuk maju bersama.

Abstract

Place attachment or deep emotional bonds between humans in a place is an important factor that must be felt by tourists at a tourist destination. This is because place attachment to a visitor has the potential to have a positive relationship with several profitable tourism behaviors, such as loyalty, visitor satisfaction, and intention to return. One that can encourage some of the positive behavioral consequences for tourists is destination personality. This study aims to investigate the role of destination personality as well as the five trait dimensions of excitement, sophistication, competence, ruggedness, and sincerity in Mount Bromo tourists’ place attachment. The study employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression. Purposive sampling was used in this study. This study included 318 tourists who had visited Bromo multiple times. The destination personality and place attachment scales were used by the researchers. The findings revealed that there was a simultaneous role for the five destination personality traits and a partial role for the excitement and sophistication traits of place attachment. Place attachment atau ikatan emosional mendalam antara manusia dengan suatu tempat menjadi faktor penting yang perlu dirasakan wisatawan saat berkunjung ke suatu tempat destinasi wisata. Hal ini dikarenakan place attachment pada suatu pengunjung berpotensi memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan beberapa perilaku pariwisata menguntungkan, seperti loyalitas, kepuasan pengunjung, dan niat berkunjung kembali. Salah satu yang dapat mendorong beberapa konsekuensi perilaku positif tersebut pada wisatawan adalah destination personality. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran destination personality secara simultan dan peran kelima trait dimensinya; excitement, sophistication, competence, ruggedness, dan sincerity secara parsial terhadap place attachment pada wisatawan Gunung Bromo. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan regresi linier berganda. Penelitian ini melibatkan 318 wisatawan yang sudah pernah berkunjung ke Bromo lebih dari sekali melalui purposive sampling. Peneliti menggunakan dua skala penelitian, yaitu skala destination personality dan place attachment yang telah ditransadaptasi dan telah disesuaikan dengan konteks penelitian pariwisata di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat peran secara simultan antara kelima trait destination personality dan peran secara parsial antara trait excitement dan sophistication terhadap place attachment.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country is still facing various kinds of national problems that have not been fully resolved. One of these problems is religious radicalism among some Muslims in this country. Examining the factors that trigger religious radicalism is thus an urgent and relevant scientific effort in Indonesia. To achieve this vision, this study aims to examine loss of significance as a mediator of the role of perceived intergroup conflict that pits Muslims against the West in explaining religious radicalism among some Muslims. This idea was tested using a correlational quantitative method with 201 Muslim participants. The results showed that, first, the higher the perceptions of conflict between Muslims and the West, the higher religious radicalism. Second, the perceived intergroup conflict increased loss of significance, and ultimately, loss of significance significantly explained the high levels of religious radicalism. Third, loss of significance mediated the positive relationship between perceived inter-group conflict and religious radicalism. The results of this study imply that religious radicalism is rooted in situational factors that strengthen individual motivation to support such an extreme, violent action.Indonesia sebagai sebuah negara masih menghadapi berbagai macam masalah nasional yang belum sepenuhnya tertangani. Salah satu permasalahan tersebut adalah radikalisme agama di kalangan sebagian Muslim di negeri ini. Meneliti faktor-faktor yang memantik radikalisme agama dengan demikian merupakan sebuah upaya ilmiah yang urgen dan relevan di Indonesia. Untuk mencapai visi tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menguji kehilangan makna (loss of significance) sebagai mediator peran persepsi konflik antar kelompok dalam menjelaskan radikalisme agama di kalangan sebagian Muslim. Ide ini diuji menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional  dengan partisipan Muslim berjumlah 201. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, semakin tinggi persepsi konflik antara Muslim dan pihak Barat maka semakin tinggi radikalisme agama. Kedua, persepsi konflik antar kelompok tersebut meningkatkan kehilangan makna, dan kehilangan makna selanjutnya secara signifikan menjelaskan tingginya radikalisme agama. Ketiga, kehilangan makna berperan signifikan sebagai mediator hubungan positif antara persepsi konflik antar kelompok dan radikalisme agama. Hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa radikalisme agama bermuara pada faktor situasional yang memperkuat motivasi individu untuk mendukung tindakan ekstrim tersebut.

Abstract

One of the interests in childhood development is in sex. Masturbation is the normal phase performed in children age 3-6 tahun (Phallic Phase) but should immediately diverted to other things. Masturbation as a habit can lead to other developmental tasks hampered because the attention, engraving and energy of children focused on one thing only. This study aims to determine the role of behavior therapy against the masturbation in childhood to prevent the increase of LGBT actor. The subject of this research is two childrens who do behavior of masturbation in the Regency and Malang City. The research method used is case study. The intervention methods are Model ing and Operant conditioning with token economy method. Observation, behavior interview an psychological test used as the assessment method. While the assessment and measurement in this research by using reversal design or A-B-A-B. The results of research shows that behavior therapy has an important role as a form of psychological intervention that can overcome the problem of masturbation behavior on childhood. Thus the possibility that the child becomes LGBT can be prevented at the beginning and behavior therapy can be applied tosubjects with the same widely.Salah satu minat dalam perkembangan masa kanak-kanak adalah seks. Masturbasi merupakan fase normal yang dilakukan pada anak usia 3-6 tahun (Fase Phallic) tetapi harus segera dialihkan ke hal lain. Masturbasi sebagai kebiasaan dapat mengakibatkan tugas perkembangan lainnya terhambat karena perhatian, pikiran dan energi anak terpusat pada satu hal saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran terapi perilaku terhadap masturbasi pada masa kanak-kanak dalam mencegah peningkatan pelaku LGBT. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua anak yang melakukan perilaku masturbasi secara berlebihan di Kabupaten dan Kota Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Metode intervensi yang digunakan adalah Modeling dan Operant conditioning dengan metode token economy. Observation, wawancara perilaku, tes psikologi digunakan sebagai metode penilaian. Sedangkan penilaian dan pengukuran dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain pembalikan atau A-B-A-B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi perilaku memiliki peran penting sebagai salah satu bentuk intervensi psikologis yang dapat mengatasi masalah perilaku onani pada masa kanak-kanak. Dengan demikian kemungkinan anak menjadi LGBT dapat dicegah sejak awal dan terapi perilaku dapat diterapkan pada subjek yang sama secara luas.

Abstract

Bullying behavior in South Central Timor and East Nusa Tenggara is still increasing from year to year, which continues to have psychological effects on victims whose suffering is unimaginable. This study aims to explore the psychological effects of victims, namely self-esteem, on elementary school students. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive-qualitative. The research subjects for class 4 of the public elementary school in Tububesak, South Central Timor, consisted of 10 students, consisting of 6 boys and 4 girls aged 10–11 years. The results of this study indicate that the male and female students experienced a decrease in self-esteem in the outer self (appearance and popularity), relational self (family and community members), and personal self (achievement, intelligence, and abilities). Especially in the aspect of relational self (closeness to God), all students feel hope to continue to live.Perilaku bullying di TTS NTT masih mengalami peningkatan dari tahun ke tahun yang terus menerus memberikan efek psikologis bagi korban yang tidak terbayangkan penderitaanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami efek psikologis korban yaitu harga diri pada siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Teknik Analisa data yang digunakan yaitu teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian kelas 4 Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Tububesak Timor Tengah Selatan berjumlah 10 siswa terdiri dari 6 orang lakilaki dan 4 orang perempuan berusia 10-11 Tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa siswa laki-laki dan perempuan mengalami penurunan harga diri pada aspek Outer self (penampilan dan popularitas), relational self (keluarga dan anggota masyarakat) dan personal self (prestasi, kecerdasan, dan kemampuan). Terkhusus pada aspek relational self (kedekatan dengan Tuhan) seluruh siswa merasakan harapan untuk tetap terus hidup
