Abstract

Background: Nosocomial infection is an important health care problem worldwide. Nosocomial infections in the hospital at about 9% (variation 3- 21%) or over 1.4 million patients admitted to hospi-tals around the world. Nosocomial infections pose some problems, namely an increase in morbid-ity and mortality, the addition of day care, the increasing cost of care and dissatisfaction with both pa-tients and their families. Nosocomial infection control efforts are very complex and involves a variety of targets including hospital personnel, patients, medical equipment, treatment rooms, and the envi-ronment. The purpose of this study was to mengetahuai performance of nosocomial infection con-trol nurse in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Methods: This study was a type of observational analytic study using quantitative cross- sectional survey design. The sample size was of the study was 50 nurses. The sampling technique used Sampling Random sampling techniques with systematic sampling. Data was taken using a ques-tionnaire. Results: Based on the results of the bivariate test there were three variables that were statistically significant, namely knowledge (p value = 0.000 and RP = 7.115), attitude (p value = 0.000 and RP = 6.519) and skills (p value = 0.000 and RP = 6.519). Non- significant variables: education (p value = 0.486 and RP = 0.542) and training (p value = 0.670 and RP = 1.432). Conclusion: There was a statistically significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes and skills in nosocomial infection control and there was no statistically significant relationship between education and training in nosocomial infection control. Key words: nosocomial infection control, nurse performance, cross sectional.

Leachate by the communitySukunan village used for liquid fertilizer plant and sold. The purpose of this study determined thegenus of aerobic bacteria in the leachate of kitchen garbage result in Sukunan village.Method : This research type was the descriptive research with laboratory test. The sample inthis study was leachate of Sukunan village kitchen garbage result. The study was conducted intwo places, in the Public Health Laboratory of Ahmad Dahlan University and in the YogyakartaHealth Laboratory Central. The results of data analysis was described in descriptive studies andpresented in tabular and narrative. Results : Identification of aerobic bacteria was carried in the Public Health Laboratory of theAhmad Dahlan University get the bacteria that approached the characteristics of the genusPseudomonas, Bacillus, and Escherichia / Salmonella / Aeromonas / Chromobacterium, whilethe results of identification carried out in the Health Laboratory Central in Yogyakarta got thebacterial genus such as Streptococcus (species : Enterococcus faecalis), Escherichia (species:Escherichia coli), Pseudomonas (species: Pseudomonas putrifaciens) and Proteus (species:Proteus vulgaris). Conclusion : There has aerob bacteria in the leachate of kitchen garbage results in theSukunan Village, Yogyakarta. Keywords : Aerobic Bacteria, Leachate

Abstract

Background : Treatment of textile waste industry, including batik can be implemented with a biodegradation. Biodegradation by bacteria carried either aerobic or anaerob. The bacteria are widely found in nature. On the other hand, the presence of bacteria in nature also function to decompose the waste. Own waste as a potential waste in the community. The use of environmental biotechnology is possible to simultaneously address the environmental pollution caused by waste and garbage batik. The purpose of this study was to investigate to find out the difference amount of in degrading microbial in leachet, the difference in content of organic C, N, and P in leachet as a nutrient for degrading microbial growth, the effectiveness of the use leachet biodegradation in the process of batik , and to determine the effectiveness of different leachet in the biodegradation process of batik waste management. Methods : This was quantitative study with laboratory test to determine differences in the effectiveness of the use of leachet. Results : The content contained microbs / bacteria so that the possibility of a biological process can be implemented. There wave had of N, P, K nutrients in leachet for bacteria, waste pollution parameters decreased but didn?t significantly improve the quality of batik waste. Conclusion : There was no significant reduction the quality of batik waste.Key words : waste, leachet, garbage, batik.

Abstract

Background: National health insurance is mandatory for all Indonesians. In Ogan Ilir Regency, the lowest percentage (24,14%) of its participants in December 2016 was found in Indralaya Utara Sub-district, and self-employed participants in this sub-district were only 6,99%. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of the self-employed’s decision to become national health insurance participants in Indralaya Utara Sub-district. Method: This was a cross-sectional study. The population was self-employed in Indralaya Utara Sub-district. The sample was 108 respondents who were selected using cluster sampling and consecutive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted by univariate and bivariate with chi-square statistical test. Results: The results illustrated that 18,52% of respondents decided to become national health insurance participants. Variables with p-value<0,005 were: knowledge about national health insurance (p-value=0,011), trust (p-value=0.000), perception about national health insurance (p-value=0,000), attitude (p-value=0,000), income (p-value=0,002), family support (p-value=0,005). Variables with p-value≥0,005 were: education (p-value=0,234), perception about health facilities (p-value=0,162), distance to health facilities (p-value=0,355), health workers support (p-value=0,112). Conclusion:  In conclusion, percentage of self-employed who decided become national health insurance participants was still small. Associated factors to the decision of self-employed as participants were: knowledge about national health insurance, trust, perception about national health insurance, attitude, income and family support. Method: The research was cross sectional design and sample in the form of total sampling with a total of 80 employees. Data collection is done through interviews and direct measurements. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately with chi square test and the magnitude of the relationship (OR). Results: Factors related to work fatigue are noise (p-value 0,0001) and lighting (p-value 0,0001), but heat stress (p-value 0.532; OR 1.045 95%; 0.987- 1,112) did not correlate with fatigue. Conclusion: The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is the noise and lighting associated with the occurrence of work fatigue in employees in the factory know, while the heat pressure is not proven to be associated with work fatigue. Suggestions that can be recommended are to provide alternating hours of rest for 30-60 minutes to employees, use personal protective equipment as needed and drink water at least 8-10 glasses a day or 160 - 200 ml of water in one day according to their respective needs the worker.
