Abstract

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the world. Heart disease is called the silent killer, because it often occcurs suddenly. Therefore, periodic cardiac examination is very necessary to reduce cases of death from heart disease.Heart disease can be known through electrocardiogram (ECG) examination. This study aims to explain the process of diagnosing heart disease through ECG using wavelet transformation and Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS).The process of diagnosing heart disease begins with cutting ECG signal consisting of 9-11 waves into one ECG wave, then decomposition and extraction are performed using wavelet transformation to obtain 6 parameters. The parameters will be used as input in ANFIS model. Data obtained from ECG extraction are divided into 70% training data and 30% testing data The output from the ANFIS model is a diagnosis of heart diseases, such as left bundle branch block (LBBB),  right bundle branch block (RBBB), and normal. ANFIS learning is divided into 6 stages, namely clustering data with Fuzzy C-Means method, computing the degree of membership of each data, determining fixed neurons, looking for normalized firing strength, calculating the consequent parameter values, and determining network output. The results of the study obtained the best ANFIS model with 10 clusters. The level of accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity for training data is 100%, 100%, and 100%, respectively and for the testing data, the level of accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity is 100%, 100%, and 100%, respectively.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the biggest exporter country for essential oils in the world. One of Indonesia's essential oil export commodities is patchouli oil. Almost 90% of the world’s patchouli oil are exported from Indonesia. Various studies to improve the quality of Indonesian patchouli oil were carried out. In this research, the process of fermentation of patchouli raw material was conducted to enhance the quality of patchouli oil. Patchouli fermentation was carried out using A. niger. Preparation processes were carried out prior to distillation including withering, size reducing and fermenting. Patchouli was withered for 24 hours. Patchouli was cut into pieces and weighed as much as 800 grams (3 leaves: 1 stem) after withered. Patchouli fermentation was conducted anaerobically for 20 hours. Varying the addition of A. niger used was 5 mL, 10 mL, 15 mL and 25 mL mixed in 400 mL of distilled water. The amount of A. niger colonies was 8.8 x 105 /mL. Extraction of patchouli oil was performed by water bubble distillation. The chemical and physical properties of the patchouli oil were analyzed and compared to the quality standard of patchouli oil according to SNI 06-2385-2006. Chemical compound of patchouli oil was identified using GC-MS. The main compound of the patchouli oil is patchoulol. The GC-MS result indicates that patchoulol content increases with the increasing addition of A. niger. The content of patchoulol was detected up to 93.75 %w/w in patchouli oil. The optimal concentration of  A. niger is 1.875% that produces the highest patchoulol content with an increase of up to 194.6 % compared to those of without A. niger (J0).

Abstract

One way to evaluate various services at the university is seen from the level of student satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to measure how much the level of student satisfaction in the university environment, especially in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia (FMIPA UII) and future expectations of students focusing on their respective study programs. 6 aspects were used to find out how much satisfaction the students had, namely: (1) Tangible, (2) Reliability, (3) Responsiveness, (4) Assurance, (5) Empathy, and (6) Information. The research method used is descriptive analysis method related to satisfaction represented by the Cartesian diagram. The study was conducted in a period of 3 months with the sample used being active students in the 2016 and 2017 FMIPA classes proportionally in each study program (study program). The data used are primary data consisting of 2 main assessments, namely performance assessment and importance assessment. The results of the level of satisfaction / suitability are classified into the Cartesian diagram which consists of 4 priorities, namely: top priority, achievement priority, low priority, and excessive. The results of the study obtained overall levels of satisfaction in Mathematics as much as 90% of students were satisfied with the level of performance provided. However, there are still 2 indicators that are included in the priority, namely problems in the key-in process and ease of communication for parents of students to consult. In addition to the contents of each indicator, an analysis of suggestions for improvement in the FMIPA environment using text mining based on barplot and wordcloud is associated with the dominant words appearing to describe the general expectations of students

Abstract

The Magnetic compound, Fe3O4, is one of the compounds that is easily hydrolyzed and oxidized. A coating method was presented in this study to prevent the process. The modifications of Fe3O4 were carried out by supporting alginate as natural polymers on the surface of Fe3O4. Preparation of magnetic alginate/Fe3O4 (Alg/Fe3O4) nanocomposite has been successfully synthesized. Alg/Fe3O4 material was synthesized using the coprecipitation method with Fe2+; Fe3+ (with molar ratio 1:2) and alginate 1% as precursors. Synthesized Alg/Fe3O4 nanoparticles were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), DelsaTM Nano C Particle Analyzer, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). The Alg/Fe3O4 has an average diameter of 13.70 nm. Photodegradation test of synthetic methylene blue (MB) dye was found at pH 5.0 and irradiation time under UV245 for 60 minutes. The degradation results showed that the percentage of MB dye removal reached more than 90%.

Abstract

Extraction of papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) using Ultrasonic Cleaner has been performed. Papaya leaves were extracted for 6 hours in a methanol as solvent. The results of phytochemical screening showed that methanol extract contained secondary metabolites of flavonoids, alkaloids, tepenoid, saponin, and phenolic classes. Methanol extract was then partitioned liquid-liquid with n-hexane. Quantitative analysis of partitioning of n-hexane using papaya leaves using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) showed the presence of neophytadiene (1.59%), palmitic acid (1.35%) and methyl linolenate (3.33%). The results showed that Ultrasonic Cleaner can be used to ultrasonic-assisted extraction of natural products especially for papaya leaves.

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss about completeness property of Orlicz sequence spaces defined by an Orlicz function. Orlicz sequence space is generalization of p-summable sequence space, for every   which is also an Orlicz sequence space. Based on the property of convergence sequence on norm space, we define $\Phi$-convergence sequence on Orlicz sequence space. Moreover, we define $\Phi$-Cauchy sequence and $\Phi$-complete on Orlicz sequence space. In this paper, we show the relationship between the (ordinary) convergent sequence, $\Phi$-convergent and $\Phi$-Cauchy sequences. Finally, it will also be shown that Orlicz sequence space is Banach space and $\Phi$-complete space.
