Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between personality of Ihsan and behavioral tendencies of academic cheating, and to analyze the influence of personality traits of Ihsan towards the tendency af academic cheating behavior. The sample of this research are 146 students in Islamic University in Yogyakarta. This Research uses quantitative methods and datas were revealed by using a summated rating scale and processed by Spearman correlation test and 20 predictor regression test technique. The result of correlation test showed a correlation coefficient of -0.365 with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05). It means there is a negative relationship between Ihsan personality and behavioral tendencies of academic cheating. The regression analysis showed the character of constancy, muru'ah, patient, and sincere were the strongest predictors. Keywords : personality, ihsan, academic cheating, students

Abstract

Islamic University is islamic organization that care with public's need, especially for education. One of the vision of Islamic Universities is leading and islamic, to bravely innovate and develop education based on islam. The aim of this study examined one models of Four God-Guided Organizations, there are leading organization. Sample included Islamic universities in Yogyakarta with 112 employees. MANOVA and descriptive test is used to analyze the data. Results showed approximately 48% of Islamic organizations including very low category and 6.3% very high category. In addition, results showed significant differences in the important component of leading organization (F (df22, 89) = 3.55, p < 0.05). Behavior aspects are very effective in Islamic organizations (M=11.44, SD=1.55) and last aspect are products (M=5.58, SD=1.01).Keyword: Four God-Guided Organizations (FGGO), Leading Organization (LO), Organisation Innovativeness, Survey.

Abstract

The present research is an attempt to investigate the relationship between the concept of al-Raja [hope] as spiritual aspect in Islamic worldview and mental well-being. The study employs quantitative research method where 1045 higher institutions students were surveyed through administration of questionnaire. The Pearson moment correlation analysis was conducted with SPSS version 21 to investigate the relationship. The finding from the analysis shows that there is significant positive correlation between Islamic concept ofal-Raja (Hope) and student's mental well-being. The study provides implication for religious Islamic religious adherents as well as Muslim psychotherapist to see the Islamic concept of Raja as a factor that can boost individual mental state. Keywords : Mental health, well-being, al-raja (hope)

Abstract

Maintain competitiveness in the global pressure is important for the organization in the face of the ASEAN Community by 2015. Organizations Economy expected to be ready for the change that is so learning organization becomes an important organizational behavior. The leader is a central figure in moving the organization. Figurehead perfect man (Insan Kamil) became one of leadership that are considered capable of responding to global challenges. Insan Kamil Leadership prioritize synergy of brain function (aql) and heart (qalb). The study of brain function in leadership known as neuroleadership, leadership that promotes spiritual function known as the spiritual leadership. This paper psychological perspective view of leadership in Islam (leadership Insan Kamil) that explores human nature as caliph and psychological dynamics of leadership competencies that synergize the brain and heart function in moving the organization as a learning organization. Key words : leadership, insan kamil, learning organization.

Abstract

Islam discourages the believers from keeping envious feelings in their hearts. In modern psychology, envy is linked with a group of negative mental health outcomes, such as depression, anxiety, and aggressive behaviors. This study is an attempt to develop a scale of envy management based on the teaching of aTGhazali, one of a Muslim scholar known as Hujjat ah Islam, The Proof of Islam. The Benign and Malicious Envy Scale (BeMaS) developed by lange & Crusius (2015) was administered to 200 Muslim students of an Islamic higher learning institution in Malaysia to evaluate their benign and malicious tendencies towards envy. Additionally, the Islamic Envy Management Scale (IEMS) was developed in accordance with al-Ghazali's proposition on how to eliminate envious feelings among Muslim adults and was administered to the sample. Principal Components Analysis yielded two factors, namely knowledge and action, with a total variance extracted of 55.5%. The resultant scale had a Cronbach Alpha of 0.7. The scale had showed a significant positive correlation with the benign envy and a significant negative correlation with malicious envy. Keywords: envy, Islamic teaching, mental health, PCA.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to know about what are the competencies in Islamic Parenting and its dynamics There are two subjects in this study, the parents who have an Islamic background and rated by general public as experts in Islamic religion. This study using qualitative research design. The data used in this study were taken by in depth interview method. Interviews were conducted with the subjects and research informants. The results of Islamic parenting competence from the first subject are tarbiyah, akhlakul karimah, exemplary, and communication. While on the second subject, there is only one competence of Islamic parenting, tarbiyah. The good preparation before marriage is very importance for parents, even start from the process to find partner. It makes parent ready and can provide all the parenting competencies. In addition, the competencies will be run well if there is cooperation between father and mother in parenting. Keywords: dynamics, competence. Islamic Parenting

Abstract

This preliminary study aimed to explore the psychometric properties ofSkala Tawakal kepada Allah as psychological measures of Surrender to God in the Islamic perspective. This study involved 224 respondents, 54% female, average age 37years, 81.5% were married, and the average monthly income of IDft 3,000,000.00. Skala Tawakal kepada Allah, together with Surrender To God Scale (Wong, McDonald, and Gorsuch, 2000), Satisfaction with Life Scale (Diener, Emmons, Larsen, and Griffin, 1985), Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (Diener, Wirtz, Tow, Kim-Prieto, Oishi, and Biswas-Diener, 2009) was administered to 224 respondents to evaluate the factor structure, reliability, and validity of the Skala Tawakal kepada Allah. The results of exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency reliability analysis, and correlational analysis with criterion variable supported reliability, structural and concurrent validity of Skala Tawakal kepada Allah has initial psychometric evidence of valid and reliable as a measure of psychological Surrender to God. The findings, limitations, and research recommendations regarding Skala Tawakal kepada Allah are briefly discussed. Keyword; Skala Tawakal kepada Allah, Surrender to God,Psychometric properties.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences level of subjective well-being (SWB) in individuals who committed charity in the city of Makassar. Subjects in this study were members of the Community Charity Month Early in Makassar, a total of 30 subjects. This study used quantitative research methods. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire Alms commitment to see the commitment of individuals in charity and scale of Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule ■ Expanded Form to measure positive and negative affect on indivdu and Satisfaction with Life Scale used to measure the level of individual life satisfaction. Subjects in the study were measured three times to determine differences in the level of SWBBased on the analysis of research data, to the cognitive and affective aspects of the show that there was no significant difference in the level of SWB is based on three types of charity commitments are measured before the charity, a week after charity, and two weeks after the charity, individuals who committed to charity have a relatively constant level of SWB. Keywords: Subjective Weil-Being, Charity, Charity Commitment
