Abstract

The study is aimed to analyze how parental attention and learning facilities influence the eleventh-graders’ learning outcomes in economics subject at Hang Tuah I Senior High School. The research used a quantitative approach of an associative type. The sample consisted of 118 out of 165 students. The data collection techniques used were documentation and questionnaires. The data were then analyzed by using multiple linier regression analysis. The result shows that the parental attention and learning facilities partially have significant effect on the learning outcomes because the presence of parental attention and adequate learning facilities will have an impact on the students’ learning outcomes. Furthermore, the parental attention and learning facilities simultaneously have significant influence on the learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study was set out to compare analytically the pedagogical competence of the certified teachers and that of those are not certified at SMKN Negeri 2 Kediri. The study was comparative research with accounting teachers as the subjects of the study. The data were collected by means of interview protocols, observation sheets, and self-reported questionnaires. The data obtained form interview and observation were then analyzed descriptively, while those of questionnaires were analyzed using independent t-test. The result of the study shows that the pedagogical competence of the accounting teachers who have been certified is better than those who have not.

Abstract

The article is intended to investigate to what extent teaching styles and the students’ learning motivation influence partially and simultaneously the students’ achievement in the accounting lesson. The study sampled 127 students out of 200 tenth-graders of office administration classes at SMK N 1 Surabaya. Data obtained from questionnaires and documentation were analyzed with multiple regression technique. The result shows that both the teacher’s teaching styles and students’ learning motivation contribute a greater influence to the students’ achievement. However, learning motivation has more dominant influence on the students’ achievement than the teacher’s teaching styles do.

Abstract

The study attempts to examine the influence of economics instruction on consumption behavior of eleventh-graders of social science in SMAN 1 Surabaya.  The sample comprised 60 eleventh-graders of social science at  SMAN 1 Surabaya. Data were collected through the use of questionnaire and interview. The data were then analyzed by using simple regression technique. The result of the data analysis shows economics instruction has a significant influence on the consumption behavior by 42.4 %. Other factors excluded from this study affect the consumption behavior by 557.6 %.

Abstract

 The study was intended to find out whether there was a difference of learning outcomes for the ten-year-students who learned through direct instruction with modules and those without modules in accounting class of SMKN I Sooko, Mojokerto. The population was all tenth graders of accounting classes, and  those belonged to accounting class I and II were chosen as the sample. The data were collected from tests. The data were then analyzed using t-test. The result shows that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes for the students who studied through direct instruction with modules and for those without modules. Furthermore, the direct instruction with modules enabled the students to achieve higher scores.

The study is intended to find out the influence of libraries and internet access on the students’ achievement with motivation as the intervening variable.  This study is explanatory research with quantitative approach.  Questionnaires and documents were used as the research instruments. The subjects of the study were the students of Accounting education study program at the State University of Surabaya. Path analysis was used as the data analysis technique. The result of the study reveals the existence of libraries and internet access influences the students’ learning achievement with motivation as the intervening variable.

Abstract

The study is aimed to examine how students’ learning motivation influences their learning achievement in mail handling lesson. The tenth graders of office administration class at SMKN 1 Boyolangu, Tulungagung sampled were 74 students. The data were collected through questionnaires and the dataobtained were analyzed with the use of linier regression statistical method. The result indicates that the learning motivation of tenth-graders of SMKN 1 Boyolangu Tulungagung is high and the students’ learning achievement is good as well. The data analysis shows that learning motivation affects the students’ achievement by 60.7 % and other factors excluded in this study influenced by 39.3 %. Thus, the students’learning motivation has a positive and significant influence on their achievement.
