Jurnal Keperawatan (Jkp) Universitas Sam Ratulangi adalah jurnal yang didirikan oleh Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sam Ratulangi. Jurnal ini pertama kali diterbitkan pada tahun 2012 yang berfokus pada publikasi ilmu dan praktik keperawatan. Jurnal ini juga menjadi wadah untuk bertukar dan berbagi informasi tentang perkembangan ilmu keperawatan di seluruh dunia yang menjadi representasi visual untuk proses pertukaran ilmu pengetahuan dalam praktik keperawatan berbasis bukti (Evidence Based Practice). Jurnal ini diterbitkan secara berkala dua kali dalam setahun yaitu periode Februari - Agustus. Abstract

AbstractBackround : Vaccination is one of the goverment's effort to prvent the transmission and health workers become the front line and the main target in handling Covid 19. Vaccination recieved by health workers cause some symptom is called Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFL). Aim : This research intend to describe Adverse Event Following Covid 19 Immunisation that happens to health workers at one of the hospitals ini Tomohon city. . Methods :  Method being used in this research are descriptif with retrospective study by collecting AEFL data on Covid 19 vaccines that occur in health workers through hospital vaccine team. Result : data gained from AEFL such as sore and swelled near injection area (86.1%), fever (5.4%), headache (2.7%), dizzy (1.3%), sleepy (4%), stuffy (0.4%) and this vaccination process were using Sinovac (99.1%) and Astra Zeneca (0.9%) vaccine.  Conclusion : Sinovac and Astra Zeneca are the types of vaccine used by health workers. AEFL happened in various ways, therefore most of them felt mild AEFL. It was caused by  basic ingredients difference it self. Keywords: Covid 19; AEFL; Vaccine

Abstract

Background : One of the risk factors that affect the menstrual cycle is physical activity. Physical activity with high intensity will cause hypothalamic dysfunction so that gonadotropin releasing hormone secretion is disturbed. Low-intensity physical activity will cause menstrual cycle irregularities by affecting the oxidative energy needed in the reproductive process. Aim: to observe correlation between physical activities and menstrual cycle in adolescent girl. Cross Sectional method is used for this research. The research population is adolescent girls in Nursing study program of Medical School, University of Sam Ratulangi Manado, with the total samples are 107 teenagers selected by proportionate stratified random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and data analysis techniques using the Spearman test. The results of this study found that there was no relationship between physical activities and menstrual cycle, with p-value 0,471. The conclusion that discovered form this research is that there is no correlation between physical activities and menstrual cycle. PSIK students who experience abnormal menstrual cycles are expected to pay attention to other influencing factors such as weight / BMI, stress levels, energy sufficiency, nutritious diet to meet the adequacy of magnesium, iron, and calcium.

Abstract

Background Vaccination program is one of many programs in order to end COVID-19. Many people considered vaccination as the dangerous injection, not safe, and afraid of the side effects after injection. This was a problematic situation that made people worried and didn’t want to be vaccinated. Purpose Describing level of anxiety among the people about COVID vaccine in working area of public medical center of Tombulu. Method This research is using a quantitative method with descriptive design. Sample collected for this research were 44 in total. Questioner of Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) was used for this research. The data was analyzed using univariate method. Results Most people had the low level of anxiety in pre-vaccination, which found in 40 respondent (91%). The rest of assessment results showed medium and high level of anxiety among 2 respondents of each category (4,5% of medium, and 4,5% of high anxiety level). Conclusion This research showed that most people in working area of public medical center of Tombulu had low level of anxiety in pre-vaccination, while the rest of respondents indicated medium and high level of anxiety for each category. Suggestion Educational approach that suitable with local customs and the involvement of local figure are important to reach people among this area. It will decrease the number of anxieties among the people. Relatable research which focuses on another aspects of assessment also needed as a further information.

Abstract

AbstractBackground: Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death in females in Indonesia. One of the reasons for the increase in mortality due to breast cancer is that it is detected at an advanced stage. BSE is a technique to detect breast cancer at an earlier stage. Aim: The purpose of this research was to find out the relationship between knowledge of breast cancer and BSE behavior in teenage girls at SMA Negeri 1 Manado. Methods: The research method uses the quantitative method, comparative design with a cross-sectional approach. The research population is teenage girls in SMA Negeri 1 Manado with a total sample of 143 samples selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by utilizing a questionnaire and data analysis using Chi Square. Results: The results showed that good knowledge of breast cancer is at 53.1%, moderate at 45.5%, bad at 1.4%, and good BSE behavior is at 2.1%, moderate at 54.5%, bad at 43.4%. Conclusions: The conclusion of the research is that there is no relationship between knowledge of breast cancer and BSE behavior in teenage girls at SMA Negeri 1 Manado. It is recommended that the nursing service is expected to work together with the school to conduct counseling regarding BSE.

Abstract

Abstract Background. Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a serious health problem in the elderly today. The way to control hypertension in the elderly is to change their lifestyle and control their health, where in carrying out lifestyle changes and controlling the health of the elderly family support is needed. Purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of elderly people with hypertension in Muhajirin village and Gotalamo village, South Morotai District. Method in this research is associative quantitative research design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is total sampling with a sampling of 30 respondents. Results of the study based on the chi-square test carried out showed that p≤0.000 where the result was smaller than p (0.05) so that Ho was rejected and Ha accepted. Conclusion there is a relationship between family support and the quality of life of the elderly with hypertension in Muhajirin Village and Gotalamo Village, South Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency.

Abstract

Background: Smoking behavior is one of the habits that can be carried out by children, adolescents, and adults even though smoking has become a habit. culture. One of the factors that cause smoking behavior in adolescents is family. The family has an important task in maintaining, maintaining and achieving the health of family members, namely the task of family health. Objective: To determine the relationship between family health tasks and smoking behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Maesaan. Method: The type of research used by the researcher is quantitative research, with a cross-sectional study approach, namely the measurement of variables is carried out once at the same time. The sample in this study Consisting of 119 male students using Stratified Random Sampling. Results: Family health task recognizes problems Able (94.5%), Unable (5.5%), Deciding on Action Able (99.1%), Unable (0.9%), Providing health care Able (90, 0%), Unable (9.1%), Modifying the environment Able (95.5%), Unable (4.5%), Utilizing health services Able (68.2%), Incapable (31.8% ), Overall family health tasks Able (99.1%), Not able (0.9%), Smoking behavior Smoking (60.9%), Not smoking (39.1%). Conclusion: The research conducted showed that there was no relationship between family health tasks and smoking behavior in SMA Negeri 1 Maesaan.Keywords: Family Health Tasks, Smoking Behavior

Abstract

Background: Elderly is someone aged 60 years and over and is the final stage in the process of human life and someone who is elderly will experience changes and decline in body functions. Constipation is one of the health problems that are often complained of by the elderly. One of the causes of the elderly experiencing constipation is a pattern of lack of physical activity.Objective: To analyze the relationship between physical activity patterns and constipation in the elderly in Mawali Village, North Lembeh District.Methods: The research subjects were taken using the Probability Sampling technique, namely Simple Random Sampling. The number of samples was 94 elderly who were assessed with a physical activity pattern questionnaire, namely the Physical Activity Scale for Elderly and a constipation questionnaire, namely the Constipation Scoring System. Statistical analysis used is the chi-square test.Results: There is a significant relationship between the pattern of physical activity with constipation in the elderly (p = 0.000).Conclusions and Suggestions: The elderly in the Mawali village, North Lembeh sub-district, often experience constipation due to lack of physical activity. It is recommended that the elderly in the Mawali village, North Lembeh sub-district, can do sufficient physical activity so that they can prevent constipation problems.

Abstract

Background: Therapeutic communication is a form of interaction that nurses do to build good and trusting relationships with patients, which aims to achieve optimal health. Communication that is not implemented properly will have an impact on patient satisfaction which will affect the assessment of nurses and hospitals. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction at Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Manado. The research method used is quantitative research, using a correlative study design with a cross-sectional study approach. The research population is patients in the inpatient room at Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Manado with a total sample of 80 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The results obtained in good therapeutic communication were 91.3% while not good 8.8%, and for patient satisfaction obtained 92.5% satisfied and 7.5% dissatisfied. The fisher exact test results obtained a significant value of p-value = 0.008 where the result is smaller than = 0.05. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between nurse communication and the level of patient satisfaction at Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Manado. Suggestions for nurses to continue to apply therapeutic communication and pay attention to the quality of services provided properly so that patients feel satisfied.

Abstract

Background: Caring is a center in nursing practice because it requires that each nurse apply good performance in giving caring to patients in order to create quality service. Caring behavior is not always done by a nurse, one of which requires motivation in one’s nurse through work satisfaction. Purpose: to find out the working satisfaction of working with the patient behavior of Irina C RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Methods: this type of study is a quantitative study, using corvisiting study design with a sectional study approach. The sample consists of 63 executive nurse using a total sample sampling technique. The instruments use a work based questionnaire satisfaction based on the Maslow’s hierarchy of 16 statements and caring behavior questionnaire based on the carrative factors Watson developed Cronin & Horizon. Results: Research shows the satisfaction of a nurse’s work is in the high category and caring behavior in the good category. The statiscal test using spearman test at a trust rate of 95% or 0,05, obtained p value 0,002 and coefficiencies 0,401. Conclusion: there is a significant connection between work satisfaction and caring behavior in the hospital of Irina C RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. What hospital management needs to do to maintain job satisfaction is to provide the motivation for carin’s behavior

Abstract

Prevalensi kejadian Covid-19 didunia didapatkan kurang lebih 265 ribu jiwa dengan kasus positif Covid-19 data ini mencangkup 227 negara, dalam peristiwa ini juga didapatkan data bahwa Covid-19 sudah menelan korban jiwa sebanyak kurang lebih 5 ribu korban jiwa di dunia, data ini disebarkan oleh WHO pada tahun 2021. Tujuan untuk melihat gambaran menggambaran prevalensi komorbid pada pasien Covid-19 di RSUD Noongan Kecamatan langowan Barat Kabupaten Minahasa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain studi gambaran deskriptif pendekatan retrospectiv. Sampel diambil dengan metode total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 180 jiwa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar perhitungan yang menyatakan jumlah dari pasien Covid-19 di RSUD Noongan Kabupaten Minahasa. Hasil penelitian di dapatkan 5 komorbid terbanyak yaitu Hipertensi 41 orang, Diabetes Mellitus 30 orang, Pneumonia 16 orang, Gerd 21 orang, TB Paru 31 orang. Kesimpulan komorbid dapat lebih memperburuk pasien dengan diagnosa Covid-19. Saranbisa menjadi salah satu dokumentasi atau informasi untuk memperkuat pengetahuan tentang komorbid pada pasien Covid-19.Kata Kunci : Covid-19, Komorbid
