Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted using qualitative research method with the aim to be able to answer the research question related to Sri Lanka Government’s strategy in handling Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) group. This research attempts to elaborate on the strategies adopted by the Sri Lankan government in the face of a strong LTTE group. Although several attempts and negotiations have been carried out before but it never reached a final point. The results of this research are descriptions of the strategies implemented by the Government of Sri Lanka that successfully brought the Government to victory over the LTTE group. The strategy is a new strategy of the Sri Lankan Government that applied during the period of the Eelam War IV (2006-2009) which is a combination of various strategies such as military strategy, politics, diplomacy and social and economic or known as the grand strategy. Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of world situation, actors, and technology these days has made traditional diplomacy shifts to become more modern . On it’s development, diplomacy is not only limited to be explained as traditional diplomacy that is only related to politics and military, but also with modern diplomacy it diversified into the field of diplomacy where it becomes more widespread. This is also means that there would be more instrument that diplomacy can use for it’s track, one of the instrument is using of cultural instruments. The Government of Indonesia through BIPA hopes it can introduce and consolidate the Indonesian language to ASEAN level through Thailand as the target country. This study aims to providing an explanation of how the Indonesian government uses the Indonesian language as an instrument of a nation branding concept to provide a positive image to the Indonesian nation, from this study it will also describe a descriptive analysis of Indonesian Language strengths that can be used as an instrument to strengthen the soft power of a country through the concept of cultural diplomacy. Abstract

ABSTRACT The EPA Cooperation between EAC and European Union has been conducted for over than 10 years. The cooperation reached its full agreement in 2014 and is planned to be signed in 2016. EPA is a free trade cooperation to remove obstacles such as tariffs. But at the time of signing, Tanzania as one of the members of EAC, refused to sign the EPA cooperation. Tanzania considers the EPA not to have a positive impact on its domestic condition. Tanzania wants to focus and build on the domestic economy, and if it signs the EPA it will make the aims and interests disturbed. This study aims to illustrate the domestic factors affecting Tanzania's foreign policy. This study is using the concept of determinants of foreign policy through domestic factor and external environment. The focus of this study is from 2014 to 2016. Abstract

ABSTRACT Several sanctions by the United States and the European Union have not stopped Iran's action to continue its nuclear development program.A series of meetings by the P5 + 1 group conducted to solve the Iranian nuclear issue. The meeting resulted in a framework agreement called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The aim of the agreement was to recognize Iran’s nuclear rights. This study is devoted to discuss US national interest on JCPOA agreement with Iran. In orde to answer the research question, this research uses qualitative method with secondary data source which then analyzed using national interest and US grand saretgy concept. The results of this study show the interests for security (vital interest) and interest of maintaining the world order (highly important interest) become the basis of consideration US policy agrees JCPOA greement.
