<![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study aims to explain how sexual violence in the form of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse occurred in Haiti during the MINUSTAH peace mission through the perspective of liberal feminism that occurred in 2004 to 2017. One of MINUSTAH's mandates related to the protection of civilians, namely the mandate of the PoC. Women in Haiti who have little education and military culture which are usually dominated by men encourage the placement of armed forces in the hands of many men. This indirectly increases men's access to SEA. For Liberal Feminists, women as a group is only protected from all forms of violence done by armed groups but not by peacekeepers. For Liberal Feminists, increasing the number and role of women in peace missions in all fields can reduce the existing hypermasculinity which has also become one of the factors causing SEA. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT Marijuana legalization is a form of public policy that most raises pros and cons in Colorado, United States. The United States Federal Law which classified marijuana as illegal drugs causes millions of people to be arrested and prosecuted with heavy fines even though they have a small amounts of marijuana. The Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) as the largest Non Government Organization (NGO) for marijuana reform in the United States feels the need to reform the legalization policy of marijuana in the state that has a long history of marijuana use, Colorado. This study aims to describe the influence of the Marijuana Policy Project as an interest group towards the forming of public opinion and the process of public policy making in Colorado. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT East Nusa Tenggara is a Food Insecurity Province in Indonesia in 2000-2005 and that’s make that issue is important in that country. World Food Program (WFP) is an International Organization Agency that provides food assistance when the issue of Food Security in Indonesia occurs. WFP collaborates with the Indonesian government to build programs to create appropriate food security conditions in vulnerable areas such as East Nusa Tenggara. WFP plays a full role in its assistance to national and regional governments which the government believes can be a solution to solve these food problems. This study focused on explanation of the role of international organizations such as WFP in helping Indonesia solve food security issues in one of the provinces in Indonesia, namely NTT, and purpose of this study also present a descriptive analysis of roles and functions of international organizations in helping countries face national food security issues. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT This final assignment discusses about Australia's choice to decide the policy to impose sanctions on Fiji after the 2006 military coup. The Australian decision will be analyzed using the Foreign Policy Theory and the Rational Actor Model. The analysis within this final assignment will provide the reasons behind choosing policies to impose sanctions in response to a military coup in Fiji. The Rational Actor model is used to explain that Australia as a rational actor will choose the most strategic policy among various alternatives to achieve its national interests. The outcome of this research is a clear explaination about the reason that motivate Australia chose the option to impose sanctions on Fiji. After considering the costs and benefits of various alternative options available, the option to impose sanctions is the most suitable for Australia in response to the 2006 military coup in Fiji. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT The development of the world nowadays has made traditional diplomacy shifts to become more modern. This also means that there would be more instrument that diplomacy can use for it’s track, which is one of the instrument is cultural aspect. The Japanese government through Bali Japan Matsuri hopes to introduce more of Japan's popular culture and enhance its positive image in Indonesia as a target country. This study aims to provide an explanation of how Japan uses its popular culture as an instrument of diplomacy to provide a positive image to the Indonesian nation, and the purpose of this study will also present a descriptive analysis of the values contained in the Bali Japan Matsuri festival through the concept of soft power currencies. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research aims to explain the change in China’s response regarding the deployment of THAAD in South Korea. THAAD is one of United States – South Korea cooperation in order to deter North Korea, but China also views the THAAD as a threat to its national security. China retaliated with a boycott towards South Korea in 2016, but then decided to normalize its relations with South Korea at the end of 2017 even though THAAD is still deployed in South Korea. The theoretical framework in this research used liberalism’s economic interdependence theory to analyze this case, with further explanation using trade-peace model. This research found that the reason behind China’s change of response regarding THAAD was based on a tendency to maintain its economic relations with South Korea. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT Uncontrolled illegal elephant ivory trade has become an international issue. It causes a decline in the elephant population. Thailand is a country that still trades elephant ivory, even though it has ratified CITES. Legal uncertainty in Thailand, and the lack of attention to this issue, make the handling of illegal elephant ivory trade is still not optimal. This condition made WWF carry out several advocacy activities to help deal with the case. The locus of this study is 2013-2016, with the type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses the concepts of international norms, NGO advocacy roles, and NGO advocacy strategies and tactics. The results of the study illustrate that in this case, there were two strategies and tactics used by WWF in carrying out its advocacy role. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research aims to describe Japan’s attempts in accomplishing their economic interest through investation in Myanmar by using qualitative method. Japan encounters the declining human resource which causing labour shortage. This phenomenon leads Japan’s manufacturers to a major bankruptcy. Through Japan’s cooperation with Myanmar, Japan aims to expand their manufacturing companies in Myanmar in order to gain Myanmar’s labour force. However, there’s a large gap between the skill of Japan and Myanmar’s human resource. The researcher uses the concept of Foreign Policy and Infrastructure Investment as the framework. This research perceives that infrastructure investment impacting the skill of human resources and helps the expansion of Japan’s manufacturers in Myanmar. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT As a big country who known has many of rich nature resources, Indonesia is an agrarian country who produce many food crops for example is rice plant. Apart of surplus harvest, Indonesia government continuously do rice import from other countries for example is Thailand to fulfill the domestic stockpile. This research was made to find the things that determines the foreign policy, and also the other positive effect of the connection on the bilateral transaction between the two countries. <![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research to identify what strategies the China use in their efforts to claim the Doklam region. This identification is based on the characteristics that contained in every China action and behavior related to the Doklam conflict. The issue of territorial conflict in the Doklam region is an old issue since1960s has heated up again in 2017 when China was exposed doing road construction in Doklam. This was criticized by Buthan and India who considered China to have committed a violation by carrying out road construction in Doklam area that was still in a disputed status or quo status. This analyzed with the concept of territorial conflict to explain what benefits can be obtained from the ownership of Doklam and the concept of salami slicing strategies to describe what components are in accordance with China actions and behavior can be used to identify the strategies that China uses.
