Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Education, Training and Job Performance Assessments affect PT. Suraco Jaya Abadi Motor Sentral Yamaha Makassar. The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative. Data processed is the result of distributing questionnaires to employees of PT. Suraco Jaya Abadi Motorbike Central Yamaha Makassar with a population of 40 employees and 36 respondents. The sampling method in this study uses Slovin formula, The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression, validity test and reliability test, hypothesis testing (T test and F test) and the coefficient of determination R. Based on the results of research and discussion It has been done that the results of this study show that there is a significant influence between education and training on improving employee performance and work performance assessment does not affect the improvement of employee performance.

Abstract

The number of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Indonesia is growing because of government policy and also their usefulness as a corporate tool to pursue strategic growth and profit. This study aims to analyze the abnormal returns of banking industries pre and post-merger and acquisition in Indonesia. Using a sample of 7 M&A deals in Indonesia from 2018 to 2019, the event study methodology used in this study is Paired Sample T-Test to tell the difference between pre and post abnormal returns. The data that use for calculating is -30 until +30 of Merger and Acquisition. The result shows that from 7 mergers and acquisition there is only one bank that has a significant difference while the rest does not have a significant difference pre and post the event. This research hopefully can be used for further research, useful for investment practitioners.

Abstract

The aim of this studies were determining and analyzing the internal factors influence the hedging decision of  mining sector company listed on the IDX from 2015-2018 with internal factors, such as financial distress, underinvestment and asset substitution problem. The population of this study consisted of 41 companies. Which was using purposive sampling obtained 12 sampel companies. The analys tecnique used is descriptive statistics. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analys showed there were no companies have been able to meet the average standard of internal factors during the year of this study so many companies have not been able to meet the average standard to do hedging to avoid the risk of internal hedging factors. There was one company has been able to meet the average underinvestment standard, it called the Market to Book Value (MBV) variable during the year of the research, it named namely PT. Bumi Resources Tbk. The next study can be expected to use the company’s hedging disclosure indicators outside of this studies such as external factors there were interest rates and currency exchange and measure the internal factors by adding the variables which can be used to increase the results of the study over all.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the direct influence of workload on performance and competence of employees as well as the indirect influence of workload on performance and competence of employees are mediated by workstress. The Independent variables used in this study workload and competence, whereas the depedent variable was employee performance and the mediating variable is. The population in this study are employees of Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta-totalling 41 people, while the research method used is the sampling of saturated. The analysis in this study is the path analysis. Hypothesis test results in this study is there is direct a influence of workload on performance of employees, there is a direct influence on performance of competence of employees, there is a direct influence of workload on performance employees with workstress as an mediating variable, and there is the influence of indirect competence on performance of employees with workstress as an mediating variable.

Abstract

In recent years, many changes have occurred regarding the condition of higher education. Formerly, to study in higher education is considered as a prestigious thing. However, these days, higher education has been seen as a necessity for the community be able to improve social and economic conditions. This state, increase the number of private universities every year in every region of Indonesia. In Kudus, there were only one private university namely Universitas Muria Kudus. However, today there is another private university in the city. The emergence of another private university in Kudus will increase the competition to get new students. In order to compete with the new private university, it is needed to know factors that influence someone in the university choice. In this research there are four factors that could affect the university choice (1) characteristic of university, (2) quality and facility of university, (3) external factor, and (4) marketing/communication factor. Questionnaire result will be used as primary data in this research. The respondents for this research are 344 students that were on the first semester of all faculties in UMK. Proportional random sampling method is use to determine research sample.  Result of the study show that quality and facility of university and marketing/communication factor each has positive and significant influence towards university choice. Meanwhile characteristic of university and external factor each has positive but not significant influence toward university choice.
