Abstract

Indonesia as a agriculture country has very much of agriculture and forestry biomass-wastes. Until now, that biomass wastes were sold out without some treatment to produce the higher value product. The agriculture and forestry biomass-wastes contain lignocelluloses material that have 3 groups carbohydrate structure : cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. That material were potentially to treat to product ethanol that can use as new and renewable energy. It is important, the use of agriculture and forestry biomass-waste did not over-lap with food and feed programe and also support the national energy strategy and green energy concept. Technology convertion of biomass-waste to product bioenergy could be done by physic, chemical and biologically. To enhance the sustainability of the world energy supply, it is necessary to substantially increase the worldwide biomass energy utilization.  The biomass waste is a potentially and interesting as energy raw material. It is one of alternative programe to change non-renewable energy to new and renewable energy.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze land use and land cover change impact on Way Kuripan discharge. Six scenarios of land use and land cover changes at Way Kuripan watershed area of 53.54 km² was developed based on geospatial analysis with Geographic Information System. Peak discharge is calculated by using rational method. From the six scenarios simulation, scenarios 1, 2, 3, and 4 maintained the protected areas of 80.15%. Land use and land cover changes done by changing areas from vacant land and agricultural areas to be residential, industrial and government office areas. From the analysis, peak discharge of scenarios 1, 2, 3, and 4 change slightly which are between 11.19% and 23.46%. These results are in contrast to scenarios 5 and 6, in which scenario 5 keep the protected areas about 53.35% while in scenario 6 left the protected areas around 30%. Those protected areas changed into residential areas. The result showed that in scenario 5, the peak discharge changed about 66.29%. While in scenario 6, it changed about 107.19%. It can be concluded that the existence of protected areas in Way Kuripan Watershed was very important role to reduce the peak discharge values.

Abstract

Indoor wireless network connectivity is strongly influenced by the presence of interference. Usually transmitted signal can be received in free space or by more than one pathway, because the effects of multipath propagation such as reflection, refraction and scattering of radio waves by the structure of the building, and these effects may be a phenomenon called multipath fading. Multipath Fading is triggered by the presence of loads and very high performance. Propagation model based on user capacity has been identified for possible outcomes, which provide the propagation characteristics as the initial evaluation. Two wireless propagation models, namely empirical and theoretical models related to the coverage, capacity and performance of wireless network users. Empirical and theoretical models used for laying planning system. In addition, this comparison can help to identify the accuracy of the survey measurements when wireless indoor monitoring and it can help to provide an estimate of the coverage and performance of wireless networks in the form of a new topology, along with contour display. Optimization of the planning system laying Wi-Fi user capacity planned by generating an average RSSI reaches -40 dbm to -55 dbm with power 17-18 dbm and canals that channel 1 is applied to 11 non-overlapping in the network design consisting of AP in the adjacent lot. The optimization results are reflected in the new topology along with contour display and spread throughout the area.

Abstract

Video conference is an interactive communication device that allows two or more persons can be different in the location can interact through two-way transmission of audio and visio. For doing this video video conference must be standarded  with ITU(international Telecommunication Union) so that communication car run as what we want. Video conference has been widely used in life. For example bussiness, education, military, and other purposes in long distance. In education, video conferencing can be done for long distance education, video conferencing can be used for meetings with other universities in another town. That’s why Bandar Lampung University joining in Inherent (Indonesia Higher Education Network) to attend conference video. Inherent network is a closed communication network between universities in Indonesia. To be able to conference, it is a facility obtained from inherent grant in 2007 by the directorate of  higher education. This study was conducted to measure the suitability of polycom VSX 7000 video conference with standard ITU (international telecommunication union).

Abstract

This study describes the components of available forage in Vahregan watershed, Central Iran and highlight issues relating to forage endowment and environmental dynamics. In this study, proper use factor and palatability models and their components use to develop the model of available forage and measure it. The components climatic, topography, land systems, vegetation, land use and grass and shrub species composition changes were analyzed using GIS. In this study source of information are herders, land and livestock owners, research institution and personal field inspections. Responses to the questionnaires were obtained from local government offices and research on rangelands and analyzed in parallel with the results of detailed interviews with pastoralists. The results of the completed overall model of available forage showed that of the 18346.2 hectares in the range area only 8.36% of the rangeland is in good condition and the rest are in fair (13.8%), poor and very poor (77.82%). About 16812.85 ha (91.64%) of the rangeland area shows a downward trend, only 1533.35 ha (8.36%) upward trend. About half of the rangeland is not favorable for domestic livestock grazing. The range condition situation and its trend in consideration of soil and slope properties in this study indicates that the rangeland in Vahregan is a fragile production system, sensitive to soil erosion and rangeland degradation, so for a long time sustainable exploitation should be goes to minimize land degradation in the future, proper management and sustainable exploitation should be implemented in the future

Abstract

Many ways that is done to separate a mixture such as kerosene-water, such as by using branching pipes (T junction), the construction of the pipeline is composed of one side of the inlet, the run up (straight) and sidearm (upwards). This research aims to determine the effect of superficial velocity of mixture flow pressure difference at the T-junction that occurs on a kerosene-water separation efficiency.   Research conducted by using a test section of the T-Junction with a 30 ° slope angle and radius bend 25 mm. pipe Material with a diameter of 1.5 inch Fleksiglass. Media used kerosene and water. The variables measured, namely that of kerosene and discharge water out through the side arm and run arm based on superficial velocity of kerosene and water according the test matrices. The difference in pressure at the T-Junction.  Overall results of nicest phase separation occurs at 58% water cut, Jmix = 0.36 m/s downstream flow barriers, with 40% in 550,7 Pa pressure resulted in Fk = Fw = 97% and 2% that flows to the side arm, and Fk = Fw = 3% and 98% of that flows to run arm. The smaller the value of water cut the better efficiency of separation is achieved. The increasing speed of the shear stress of kerosene and superficial result in increasing pressure fluctuations. Also increased pressure downstream barriers. On Jmix 0.36 m/s is highest pressure 1400 Pa, on PSD signal fluctuations of 8000. With the increasing speed of superficial kerosene PSD magnitude decreased, and the strength of the apex of the PSD increased. On a superficial water medium speed with increasing speed of superficial water and kerosene for constant pressure difference loss occurring on the area of the inlet and run T-junction

Abstract

Motorcycles in traffic mix on the 4 lane one-way road with no median dividers berpootensi an impact on the performance of the particular traffic volume of traffic, especially if the number of vehicles is very large motorcycle. This happens in the corridors of Bandar Lampung particularly traffic from the south or from the Gulf Betung.Studi done in the way of Kartini Bandar Lampung, ie after Kartini Mall and right in front lembga technocrat education. Survey conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday morning at peak hour, peak hour lunch, and afternoon peak hours by using a video camera. Results of analysis of the proportion of motorcycles acquired: On Tuesday, at 67.91% of the total volume of traffic, and Wednesdays at 69.73% of the total traffic volume, so that the average proportion was 68.82%, which shows that the growth of motorcycle high enough , the average value exceeds the normal composition according MKJI 1997 is 38%. Due to the growth of the motorcycle vehicle large enough for the volume of traffic, it is necessary to review the value of PCE for motorcycles as part of the traffic. Analysis is used to determine the value of PCE is to use the base capacity. The capacity of the base using multiple linear regression model. The results of the analysis obtained niali emp for motorcycles on the road Kartini is emp MC = 0.564, and emp HV = 1.347. Recommended for 4 lane road with no median one-way lane that has not been facilitated by special motor bike, then you should apply the separation column in order to reduce the level of accidents and provide security and comfort for pedestrians to cross the road.
