Abstract

Abstract

Modern organizational dynamics posit conflict as a logical consequence of complex structural interactions rather than a mere behavioral anomaly. This study aims to synthesize recent literature to develop a predictive conceptual model that integrates role ambiguity, task interdependence, and goal differences as simultaneous determinants. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Data were extracted from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases spanning 2020–2025 to capture current dynamics. Through rigorous selection, 45 empirical articles were analyzed using thematic analysis assisted by NVivo 12. The study confirms the formation of a "triangle of friction" mechanism. Role ambiguity is identified as the breeding ground for operational confusion. This impact is subsequently amplified by task interdependence as a contagion mechanism and significantly exacerbated by goal differences that polarize inter-unit relationships. This study concludes that destructive conflict results from systematic interaction, not random occurrence. Managerial implications emphasize a holistic approach through periodic work design audits, revising job descriptions to minimize ambiguity, and cross-functional goal alignment to effectively mitigate organizational structural vulnerabilities.

Abstract

Bandung is one of the cities in Indonesia with many cafes, and data from Toffin Indonesia (2023) shows that Bandung is the third-largest city in terms of coffee consumers in Indonesia. The Statistical Center of West Java Province (2018) recorded 467 coffee shops or cafes in Bandung in 2018. Intense competition drives companies to design effective and long-term strategies. This research aims to create the most ideal competitive strategy for Téras by Akinini by minimizing weaknesses and maximizing strengths to excel over competitors. The analysis is conducted using a descriptive method with a case study approach, collecting data through interviews and document studies. The "Best Cost Provider" strategy is chosen as the best option, focusing on the company's development in delivering value to customers with broad coverage. It also considers customer expectations regarding quality, cost, environment, and friendlier pricing. Implications of this strategy include improving quality and service to customers, enhancing competitiveness in the market. Additionally, this strategy can increase brand awareness and provide the company with an attractive characteristic to reach a broader market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of service quality in the relationship between relational and spiritual values and member satisfaction in the mobile collection service of KSP CU Bina Danarta Palembang.  This quantitative research employed a survey of 265 traditional market traders in Palembang (61.1% were females, aged 41-50 years). Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS to test causal and mediating effects.  The results indicate that relational value and service quality have a positive and significant effect on satisfaction. However, a unique phenomenon of full mediation was identified: spiritual values (staff honesty and integrity) generate satisfaction only when manifested through professional, tangible service quality. For pragmatic market traders, physical evidence (tangibles) serves as the primary signal of security in transactions.  The implications of this study are that management should modernize digital transaction tools and implement a standard Operating Procedure (SLA) to transform abstract values into measurable and credible service performance.

Abstract

The article aims to contribute to the discussion about how collaboration helps SMEs to face the incorporation of digital technologies related to Industry 4.0. Employing a systemic perspective, data was gathered through surveys and interviews with manufacturing SMEs and Knowledge Subsystem (KS) actors in Santa Fe, Argentina. Findings confirm that SMEs implement Industry 4.0 projects with heterogeneous learning processes and outcomes, where collaboration—both internal among teams and external with partners, suppliers, and the KS—emerges as a determining factor. In fact, the KS plays a vital role in providing relevant solutions, fostering absorptive capacity, and enabling proactive adaptation and resilience. High strategic concordance between SMEs and KS actors' views on technological objectives and collaboration streamline the adoption of increasingly complex technologies. SMEs are advancing technologically through incremental steps, strategically selecting technologies and partners that supports the implementation of innovations. In this process, collaboration functions as a critical enabler, reinforcing the role of tacit knowledge and leveraging public financing to enhance absorptive capacity and ensure the sustainable integration of new solutions.
