Abstract

Eksperimen dan teori merupakan dua bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam mempelajari Fisika. Banyak teori yang dibangun berdasarkan data eksperimen dan banyak pula teori yang gugur karena bertentangan dengan data eksperimen. Selain itu, peran eksperimen dapat pula digunakan untuk membantu pemahaman suatu materi fisika yang diperoleh di kelas. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan untuk menentukan konstanta dielektrik suatu bahan melalui percobaan kapasitor plat sejajar, dan petunjuk percobaannya. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan: studi pustaka, menguji coba alat, melakukan eksperimen: mengambil dan menganalisis data, mengembangkan modul petunjuk praktikum dan mengujikan modul ke mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui praktikum kapasitor plat sejajar dapat diperoleh konstanta dielektrik suatu bahan. Dari hasil percobaan diperoleh nilai konstanta dielektrik (8,60 0,01 ) x 10 -1 untuk udara; (2,1 0,2) untuk plastik; dan ) untuk kaca. Berdasarkan hasil ujicoba modul petunjuk praktikum pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika diperoleh fakta bahwa mahasiwa menyatakan bahwa modul petunjuk praktikum yang dikembangkan baik dan dapat membantu dalam melaksanakan praktikum kapasitor plat sejajar. Kata Kunci: Kapasitor plat sejajar, konstanta dielektrik, alat praktikum, petunjuk praktikum.

Abstract

Visualization is very essential in physics learning, especially on the topics of momentum, impulse, and collisions. This is mainly due to the instantaneous process of collision that makes it difficult to be observed directly. Video-based learning media is one of the alternative media that can be used to present the visualization of physics learning material on that topic. This research aimed to develop video-based learning media for high school physics learning on the topics of momentum, impulse, and collision which was equipped with experiment and computer animation. The method applied in this research was the research and development method aiming at the learning media production. The research procedures consisted of field observations, research problem, preparation and development of the learning media, expert judgement, then followed by tryout of the developed learning media by high school students. The results of the research showed that the developed learning media satisfied the research goal; 83,33% of the learning media users participating in the tryout stated that the media is good.
